Chapter 49 - Chapter 49: A Terrifying Effect

"My chakra has increased tenfold!"

Ruofeng carefully sensed the chakra flowing within his body, shock rising quietly in his heart.

Originally, his chakra reserves were not large. After all, he was still young and could not extract excessive energy from his cells—those cells still needed to support his physical growth. Even so, his chakra had already been considerable. Daily medicinal baths, constant consumption of monster meat, the recent tempering by the Canine Sage, and the earlier use of rare medicinal substances had all steadily strengthened his foundation. Among children his age, his chakra had already approached that of Nawaki Senju.

Nawaki came from the Senju clan, whose bloodline naturally possessed tremendous vitality. As the direct grandson of the First Hokage, his physical constitution and chakra refinement were especially outstanding.

Now, with his chakra increasing by tenfold, Ruofeng's reserves had reached a level comparable to Kushina Uzumaki.

Yes—comparable to Kushina.

As a member of the Uzumaki clan, Kushina's chakra was famously monstrous. More than that, being chosen as the Nine-Tails' jinchūriki required exceptional vitality and chakra to suppress and balance such overwhelming power. Among the Uzumaki, Kushina stood at the very top.

Yet now, Ruofeng—an Uchiha—possessed chakra comparable to hers at the same age.

It was simply unimaginable.

The Uchiha clan was never known for massive chakra reserves. During the final battle between Sasuke Uchiha and Itachi Uchiha, Sasuke had exhausted nearly all his chakra after only a few large-scale techniques.

For Ruofeng to reach Uzumaki-level chakra as an Uchiha could only be called a miracle.

With this amount of chakra, he could finally use high-level ninjutsu freely. Before, casting just three Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu would drain him completely. Now, with ten times the reserves, he could easily unleash thirty.

Such abundance meant he could truly fight without restraint. And as his physique continued to strengthen, his chakra would only grow further. With the mysterious junk station constantly providing extraordinary resources, even reaching tailed-beast levels in the future did not seem impossible.

Compared to this overwhelming chakra boost, the increase in his physical strength was relatively modest—only about double. Still, Ruofeng did not mind. Physical growth and chakra development were different paths, and both would continue to improve over time.

The sled dog also sensed his transformation and spoke, "Master… with your current chakra, you can already summon all eight of us to fight alongside you. Over the next few days, I'll focus on strengthening one of the Eight Great Dogs so it can assist you in real combat as soon as possible."

Ruofeng smiled. "That sounds good. Train them quickly. But what exactly is this little one?"

His gaze shifted to the small white puppy being carefully tended nearby. The creature that had hatched from an egg still felt surreal. If not for everything he had seen in the world of Swallowed Star, he might have thought a monster had been born.

The sheepdog shook her head. "Master… I don't know either. I've helped deliver many pups, but I've never seen anything like this. It resembles a wolf-dog, but also a husky, and even has traits of a Tibetan mastiff—especially these small teeth…"

Ruofeng fell silent.

This little fellow truly seemed to combine the characteristics of multiple canine breeds.

"Forget it," he said at last. "Leave it in your care. With such a strange origin, once it grows up, its potential will be terrifying. It might even become an existence capable of standing against the Toad Sage and the White Snake Sage."

The sheepdog looked puzzled, but the sled dog's expression turned solemn. Its gaze toward the puppy instantly changed.

Ruofeng was not joking. This creature came from the world of Swallowed Star, having undergone evolution through the RR virus, nuclear radiation, and unknown bloodline influences. Its future was bound to be extraordinary.

The appearance of a living creature also sparked a new thought in his mind. Would the junk station eventually deliver other living beings? If mythical beasts from cultivation worlds ever arrived, that would be truly incredible. Unfortunately, such things could only be left to fate.

Just as Ruofeng prepared to leave, several butterfly dogs hurried in. "Master! Master! We finished sorting through the soil and found many good things!"

Ruofeng looked up. "What else did you find?"

At once, a few bulldogs carried in several stone tools—stone pots, stone spears, grinding stones, and various other finely crafted items.

With a single glance, Ruofeng recognized them as everyday tools from Bei Village in the Perfect World.

Then one butterfly dog added, "Besides those, we also found some unknown seeds and a broken piece of lingzhi. The sheepdog has already taken them away for cultivation."

Ruofeng nodded. "So that's how it is. Looks like I missed quite a few things. From now on, whenever new junk appears, I'll come straight to the canine clan. It'd be a shame to overlook anything valuable."

After a brief pause, he continued, "Handle these items as you see fit. Over the next few days, I'll gradually bring more resources here. Sled dog, focus on restoring and strengthening the various canine abilities as quickly as possible."

"Yes, Master!" the sled dog replied firmly.

Ruofeng nodded, formed a hand seal, and vanished in a swirl of smoke, leaving Beast King Mountain behind.

Bang.

In the quiet bedroom, Ruofeng reappeared.

His physique had strengthened, his chakra had surged, and his overall power had increased severalfold. Yet raw power alone was not enough—he still needed time to adapt. He had to fully control his vastly increased chakra and grow accustomed to his enhanced strength.

More importantly, with such abundant chakra, he could finally begin practicing advanced techniques. The Rasengan and Chidori—two legendary jutsu—now lay within reach. After all, he already understood their principles.

At this time, Minato Namikaze, the creator of the Rasengan, was still a young student in the Academy.

As for Kakashi Hatake, the future inventor of the Chidori, his father had not even married yet.

"Whew…"

Ruofeng let out a long breath. Seeing the darkness outside, he realized that nearly half a day had passed since he entered Beast King Mountain at noon.

He changed his clothes, ate a simple meal, and prepared to sleep.

Tomorrow, true training would begin.
