Chapter 20 - Episode 20 – Clash of the Kings

The warehouse smelled of smoke and gunpowder.

Sasmita's heart pounded as she crouched behind a stack of crates, her hands gripping the earpiece tightly. Srikant's voice was calm, steady, and deadly:

"Stay down. Watch. Don't move unless I tell you."

But her eyes betrayed her fear. She wanted to run to him, throw herself into his arms, but she knew it was impossible.

Across the room, Vikram's eyes glinted in the dim light. Calm, confident, untouchable… until now.

"This is your last chance, Srikant," Vikram called out, voice echoing. "Walk away. Let her be mine. Or face everything you've built crashing down."

Srikant stepped forward, his every move calculated. The man who was calm on the streets, loving in her life, and deadly in the underworld… he was all of that at once.

"I don't negotiate when it comes to her," Srikant replied. His voice low, controlled, but carrying a threat that could freeze blood.

Then the chaos began.

Vikram's men charged. Bullets flew, crates shattered. Smoke filled the room. The lights flickered.

Sasmita's hands shook as she watched from the corner. Every shot, every movement, was a reminder of the danger surrounding them.

Srikant moved like a shadow, disarming men in seconds. His hands, precise and strong, struck with the weight of a king protecting his queen.

But Vikram had not underestimated him. The two men's eyes met across the room, and for a second, the air was thick with tension… more than fear, more than anger… it was a challenge.

"You think love makes you strong?" Vikram shouted. "I built everything from nothing! You're nothing without your empire!"

"I built something stronger," Srikant growled. "Love. And I'll protect it at all costs."

With a swift movement, Srikant disarmed two more men, sending them crashing into crates. Vikram moved closer, his smirk fading. The fight was no longer about territory—it was personal.

Sasmita's breath caught when she saw the men converge around Srikant. Without hesitation, he moved between them and her, shielding her from danger.

"Stay close," he whispered. "I won't let anything happen to you."

Her heart thumped in her chest. Fear, adrenaline, and love collided in one overwhelming wave. She realized… she wasn't just a passenger on this train. She was part of the battle now.

Vikram and Srikant faced each other finally, the warehouse trembling with the force of their clash. Fists, shadows, and glances that could kill… every movement told a story of rivalry, betrayal, and love-driven fury.

"You've grown soft," Vikram said, trying to distract him. "Your love for her… it will be your weakness."

Srikant's eyes flashed. "No. It's my strength. And that strength will end you tonight."

A sudden explosion in the far corner threw sparks into the air. Crates toppled. Smoke choked the room.

Sasmita screamed, but Srikant grabbed her, covering her from flying debris. His eyes searched hers, and in that moment, she knew—he would die to protect her.

Vikram stumbled back briefly, then disappeared into the shadows.

Srikant turned to Sasmita, breathing hard. "He's gone… for now."

She collapsed into his arms, tears streaming. "I… I was so scared."

"I know," he whispered, holding her tightly. "But I'm here. And I always will be."

Outside, the city was silent once more, but both men knew this battle was far from over.

The Love Train had passed through its darkest station yet… and the next stop promised even more danger, betrayal, and choices that could change everything.
