At the sound of his voice, Eva's heart started racing. Her spine went stiff just by his presence behind her. And when she turned to look at him, a gasp nearly escaped her lips.
For unknown reasons, his gaze terrified her despite being the same one she had always known.

Eva opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out, and it clamped shut again. She looked down, my hands trembled, and she tightened grip on the phone before it could fall.
"Eva," He called, his tone still as calm as ever.
Her head snapped, and I saw a frown on his face.
"I'm sorry," she said, whispering.
I must look like a thief caught red-handed right now…. It's fine. Just ignore her and keep living your life, she said to herself.
"For what?" He asked, bringing her attention back to him. "Hmm?" he hummed when she didn't answer even after some time.
