Maverick thought he had been imagining things when he heard the voice that came up and he had to take a split second to stare at the guard in front of him, exchanging a silent glance with the man to be sure he had heard right.
Indeed, the guard who was standing in front of him, on hearing the voice, took a moment to look to his side where he saw the girl Maverick had bought at the auction market, standing by the door of the room.
His gaze narrowed, wondering how she had found this room as it wasn't exactly in view around the mansion. This room was secluded since it was close to Maverick's wing and not so far away from the torture rooms.
On seeing the guard's reaction, something twitched in Maverick's eyes and he finally turned back to see Lucrezia standing close to the door. However, that wasn't even the most surprising part. She was currently before him, dressed in his shirt and joggers that he could vividly recognise from anywhere.
