Night time,
The infiltration begins.
Faith.
Act.
Succeed.
Four Personnels.
One chance.
To prepare against any odd, Yash changed the plan slightly.
We wouldn't flee in the morning anymore. Instead, we would defeat the personnels first and then quickly depart with all the prisoners.
Every single act would be executed tonight.
Grimori would set the control room on fire, Kel and Lila would prepare two ships simultaneously, while Nini would free the prisoners.
Yash, Mala, Surya and I would deal with the personnels.
Surya had created a lot of trouble regarding this plan.
He wanted to stick with Nini, however Nini punched him into a wall and he had to reconsider his choices.
As the central clock struck twelve, we parted ways.
Four Personnels, four directions.
We stood on the clock tower.
[Pratik]: I am heading East!
Saying that, I burst forward at full speed.
[Yash]: But that's West, Pratik.
Embarrassing.
[Pratik]: I meant South. I am heading South.
I turned and was about to leave—
[Yash]: But that is North direction.
...
Seems like I ran out of excuses.
Trying to hide my embarrassment, I dashed toward the North. This time it surely was North, at least according to Yash.
I made sure my speed wouldn't create sonic booms.
The fight against the personnels would definitely create chaos, but there was still time. I wouldn't give them any opportunity to prepare for me.
A sudden attack, that is.
For some reason, I was feeling excited today.
What is this sudden excitement?
A few guards pointed their spears at me, but I punched them away.
No Dark Energy Reserves coating, just normal punches. I was making sure to knock them out, not eliminate them completely.
As soon as Grimori set the control room on fire, it would signal that the ships were ready, the prisoners were being freed, and the perfect time to fight the personnels had arrived.
I spotted one.
A Four-Starred Personnel.
According to the hierarchy Kel provided to Yash, there were four main ranks if we ignored the sepoys.
One-Starred
Two-Starred
Four-Starred
Seven-Starred
The stars represented their power.
One-Starred and Two-Starred could be dealt with later.
But we had to eliminate the Four-Starred earlier to make sure they wouldn't cause trouble later.
We had no information regarding the Seven-Starred though.
According to Kel, he wasn't even on Planet Gamble.
Neither the staff had his photo nor was his location revealed.
They said he was the strongest in this entire staff.
There was only one staff that dealt with the smuggling of each Empire and species.
Each staff had an operating planet, like Planet Gamble, and every operating planet had someone who stood at the top.
The Seven-Starred.
I wonder who it is for Planet Gamble...
How stupid am I?
I am thinking about the Seven-Starred Personnel while even the Four-Starred are terrors on their own.
According to the information Lila passed to Yash this morning, the rebellion that went violent after Garv's execution was completely silenced by just two personnels.
The other two personnels weren't even needed.
That's how absurd they were.
Seems like I already reached it...
The house of one of the personnels.
I sighed.
My heart was beating rapidly.
All the guards—I beat them up without making much noise.
I checked through the windows.
It was weird.
The windows of a single room showed the views of two completely different rooms.
It felt puzzling.
Then it happened.
A huge burst.
It was obviously from the control room.
I thought Grimori would just burn it quietly, but it seemed he liked flashy actions.
That explosion was the signal.
The battle had started.
The infiltration had ended.
I saw a black figure open the door.
The moment it opened, I attacked.
I used Dark Energy Reserves coating at the highest level I could manage. I knew it wouldn't be enough to eliminate the opponent, but it should have knocked them out at best.
However, my eyes widened in terror.
The figure burst into pieces and the entire house exploded.
Everything in a straight line behind the house was blown away for nearly four hundred metres.
My arms felt heavy.
Sweat rolled down my face.
Have I overdone it?
Suddenly, I heard a voice near my ear.
"That was certainly a wonderful show."
I jumped away instantly.
It was a small girl.
She was the black figure. I was certain of it.
She looked intrigued.
What is happening?
[Pratik]: You are...
"Allow Lilith to introduce herself. Lilith is the most powerful Four-Starred Personnel. Feel free to fear Lilith, because Lilith loves fear."
She spoke with a widening smile.
I see.
I created my magic sword and dashed toward her, slicing her into two.
The next moment, both halves joined back together.
[Lilith]: You should be gentler, kid.
She said with that same devilish smile.
[Pratik]: Trigger 1, Acceleration.
I shouted.
This time, I managed to leave a permanent slash on her cheek.
I see.
Now I understood her powers.
She looked surprised, but then her smile widened even further.
[Lilith]: Lilith is happy. Finally, someone managed to hurt Lilith after so many years. An opponent who can defeat Lilith other than Sir Haidoro.
She slowly turned toward me.
The wound on her cheek was healing little by little.
Her glowing red eyes looked sinister.
[Pratik]: I finally realised your powers.
I said while deactivating Trigger 1.
Because now, it wouldn't be very useful.
She made an intrigued expression.
[Lilith]: A moment of realisation perhaps? What are Lilith's powers according to you?
[Pratik]: It is obviously reality alteration. You erase the reality where you are wounded or defeated. Isn't that true?
She smiled.
[Lilith]: My, my. Aren't you a smart fellow? That's absolutely correct. Does that crush your hopes?
Kind of yes.
But powers like these usually have huge limitations too, especially if the user themselves is physically weak.
[Pratik]: Let's test that out.
To be continued...

EXTRAS:-
A MEETING (PART 4)
The leader of the Immortalus Society Authority Group, Haimono, silently walked out of the meeting hall.
Nayaka and Krishna were discussing something important among themselves.
Shang was distributing special rings through his teleportation to the leaders.
Krishna, the Leader of Immortalus Society, and Nayaka, the Leader of the Indian Sorcery Society, secretly shared an alliance.
Shang was the one who originally proposed this alliance a few years ago.
The dead Immortalus Society Authority members were taken away and discarded after Krishna presented evidence of their crimes.
