Silence echoed in the Alpha's Crucible, the atmosphere intense, the air thick with tension as Elara stared at Lucien.
Lucien rushed towards her and immediately picked up the sword from the ground,
"You okay Elara?" Worried Lucien asked
"What is Fated Mate?" Elara asked narrowing her eyes, she has heard Lucien calling her that in The Wolf's Den ,
And few moments ago too Lucien addressed her as Mate, Fated Mate to be exact.

Eryx , Luciens wolf wanted to yell out loud.

" My Wolf form was blabbering nonsense", Lucien said out after a moment of silence and felt his wolf cursing him in his mind.

"Even if I don't ask you to come, you will still come so why would I waste my time doing formalities", Lucien sheepishly said.
"Leo you go now, we will do training some other day", Lucien ordered his personal trainer who bowed a little and left.
"Leo looks so handsome", Lyra mumbled dreamily.
"You like him?" Elara asked bringing Lyra back from her dreamland.
"You heard me?" Lyra asked shocked.
"Yeah, you are standing right next to me , how can I not hear you?" Elara sarcastically let out.
Lyra sheepishly smiled and looked at Elara showing her puppy eyes and requested, "Don't let Luci know about it".
Elara nodded agreeing and Lyra smiled widely, "He looks young ", Elara let out,
"He is a two year older than me but got alot of skills so Luci chose him to be his personal trainer even though he doesn't need one but just to improve his skills, after his past trainer got some health issues Leo got appointed as his personal trainer six months back ", Lyra explained.
"What are you both whispering?" Lucien asked staring at both of them.
"We were just having girly and wolfy talk", Lyra jocked.
Lucien stared at his baby sister being so done with her deadly humour.
"Let's sit and talk", Lucien suggested and Elara nodded.
"After you your highness", Lyra gestured Elara to take sit on the couch who sat down smiling a little.
" So the answer to your previous question is, Werewolf are called as it because they are both wolf and human,
Werewolves mostly stay in human form but shift to wolf when needed, and it is not at all strange, wolf in the body is like soul in body,

Wolf Eryx is strong, hot headed and also a goofball ", Lucien softly said.
"Your wolf has contrasting personality", Elara joked, and Lucien nodded.
" Only I know About that though, let me tell you a secret, apart from my mother no one has seen my wolf form", Lucien whispered lowly just for Elara to hear.
"Why would you tell me that?" Elara asked.
"Because you deserve to know ", Lucien mumbled to himself and Elara looked at him confused.
"What are you mumbling?" Elara asked, "Nothing ", Lucien replied noting to his own self to not let his inner feelings out .
"Luci, you are always serious about your trainings then how your sword fell?" Lyra asked curiously and Lucien recalled what happened before.
An hour ago
"Hey Leo ", Lucien greeted his personal trainer who bowed a little at him in respect.
"What do you want to do today My Alpha?" Leo asked when he saw Lucien roaming his eyes around The Alpha's Crucible.
" I think I'll fence today… let's see if you are brave enough to face me", Lucien playfully said and Leo stared at him amused.
"You seems happy, it's good to see you like this", Leo said genuinely as he took out his sword.
"Happy is a small word, I am delighted, I have found my mate", Lucien declared as he started fighting with Leo.
" Theo informed me yesterday, I have heard about her alot, some guards admitted that her highness can handle sword better than them", Leo said clashing his sword with Luciens
"She is the future Luna, Obviously she is one of a kind", Lucien said as he thought about Elara.
"I heard she wants to go back", Leo said still fighting and hearing him Lucien Froze, still aware but then he felt it,

It flew and fell right infront of Elara when Leo clashed his sword with force.
"Luci, Where are you lost?" Lyra shook Lucien bringing him back from his thoughts.
"I was just recalling something and also when I was fencing with Leo the sword accidentally slipped from my hands", Lucien explained.
""I shouldn't have been more careful."
The words sounded foreign on Lucien's tongue, like they didn't belong to him.
His eyes found hers. "Elara… I'm sorry."
True blooded Alpha are supposed to be very dominant and very self-centred, Lucien is the type who never bends, never lowers his pride.
Lucien apologising is like watching a storm bow to the sky—rare, and powerful enough to leave you shaken.
Elara was slightly moved, something in her fluttered as she stared at Lucien.
"I should have informed before coming so it wasn't completely your fault, and nothing happened to me so it's totally fine ", Elara assured.
"Done exploring the palace ?" Lucien asked averting his gaze from Elara which made her shift a little on the couch.
Holding the eye contact little more than necessary has never mattered to Elara till that moment.
She wanted to stare more, to take proper look at those green eyes a bit more, but couldn't.
When Lucien broke the eye contact something in her wanted to yell at him for doing that.
Our mate looks off, did we do something wrong , Lucien?? Eryx asked
"Just shifted my gaze from her nothing more but why would it even bother her, she isn't a Werewolf to feel the mate bond nor will she yearn for us the way we do, " Lucien said in his mind and Eryx felt broken.
"Yes Luci, I showed her everything in the palace", Lyra excitedly said being proud of her own self.
"Good to hear that, Elara be comfortable, just inform me if you need anything", Lucien softly said to Elara who nodded getting up from the couch.
"Your highness, let's head to your room, but I have got something to discuss with Luci so can I do it?" Lyra asked for Elara's permission who looked confused.
"He is your brother Lyra why would you need my permission to talk with him?? go ahead", Elara completed.
" But He is yours too", Lyra said out but immediately closed her mouth when Lucien glared at her, he looked at Elara who stood little away from both of them.
"Control your hyper excited mouth infront of my mate, you might disclose everything infront of her", Lucien softly warned.
"Why don't you tell her that she is your fated mate? she needs to know that," Lyra let out trying her best to not sound loud.
"She deserves to know that she is bound to me, tied to me by fate but I can't let her know that, not when I got her in such circumstances,

It's isn't easy for her, I know she is very scared, I can feel it, she is trying her beast to be calm which is increasing my respect towards her to the next level,
In between all these chaos, I can't add one more, it's better if she doesn't know about this fated mate thing now,

I want give her peace not someone who takes it away, also let everyone know that Elara shouldn't know that she is my Fated Mate ". Lucien ordered and Lyra smiled understanding her brother.
"Did you tell her about that tree in the Moonveil Garden?" Lucien asked
"No, as per your ordered, she wouldn't know unless you want to", Lyra seriously said.
