"Oh, is this the end? The Imperial Capital Academy is too weak," Mo Fan said, patting his butt as he stood up from the ground.
"That's right. I told you long ago that the fighting should be left to Brother Wang. You still didn't believe me?" Zhao Manyan agreed with a smile, standing up.
The referee couldn't help but twitch his mouth at their words. If these two weren't Mingzhu students, he would have liked to teach them what it means to learn the hard way.
On the other side, the defeated four-member team from the Imperial Capital Academy returned dejectedly.
"Teacher, I'm sorry. We… lost," Liao Mingxuan lowered his head, frustration and unwillingness in his tone.
"Ah, who would have thought they had a Space Mage? Magic like Sound and Psychic types is incredibly hard to defend against. Unless you create distance immediately, or have special magic tools, it's difficult to deal with. You lost, but it's not unfair," Lu Yiming sighed, helpless but not blaming them too harshly.
"Teacher, let me go! Even if he has the space system, my contracted beast isn't a vegetarian!" Lu Zhenghe clenched his fists, determination burning in his eyes.
"Okay!" Lu Yiming nodded.
"Teacher, let me play too," came a clear, crystal-like voice from under a parasol.
Everyone's attention shifted immediately.
A girl with long silver hair slowly stood, stepping into the sunlight. Her presence seemed to dim the scorching sun slightly. A faint icy mist lingered around her, emphasizing her graceful figure.
She wore snow-white, goose-feathered high boots that wrapped around her delicate calves. Her trench coat, as white as snow, perfectly outlined her figure. Her slender waist and firm, full chest accentuated her beauty. But even more striking than her figure was her exquisite face, flawless as if painted.
"Okay, with you here, it's safe!" Lu Yiming forced a smile.
Just moments ago, Wang Feng had eliminated four Imperial Capital students in seconds. That victory, achieved through sheer information advantage, had scared Lu Yiming. But now, with Lu Zhenghe, a general-level contracted beast, and Mu Ningxue, the ace of their academy, it was anyone's game.
"Let's continue in the next round," Wang Feng said lightly.
Everyone understood—he wasn't giving the Imperial Capital Academy any chance to survive.
After a short rest, the second game began. Mingzhu Academy's lineup remained three people shouting "six hundred and sixty-six" plus one absolute main force. The Imperial Capital Academy replaced all its members: Mu Ningxue, Lu Zhenghe, Ming Cong, and Xiao Feng.
The arena's atmosphere instantly became tense.
"Ningxue, long time no see," Wang Feng smiled slightly at Mu Ningxue, who looked even more charming than before.
Mu Ningxue and Ye Xinxia were close friends, and Wang Feng had met the little princess of the Mu family thanks to Ye Xinxia. She looked at Wang Feng with a complicated expression. They had been childhood friends, but contact had been almost cut off when she moved to the imperial capital.
"What's going on? The captain knows the icy beauty?" Zhao Manyan whispered.
"I know her, more than just knowing her," Mo Fan replied casually.
"Dude, why do you sound like a young wife being harassed?" Zhao Manyan teased.
"Get out! We are no longer friends!" Mo Fan shot back.
"Wang Feng, I want to see your true strength!" Mu Ningxue took a deep breath, her beautiful eyes filled with fighting spirit.
"As you wish," Wang Feng smiled calmly.
The referee gave the order. The fight began.
"Ice Vine!"
Mu Ningxue took a light step back, icy crystals sliding down from her fair palms. She blew gently, and frost filled the battlefield, instantly chilling the air.
"Ice Vine!" Wang Feng responded, curling his lips and lightly stomping his feet. Frost on the ground seemed to come alive, spreading rapidly like ivy and covering the arena.
"Holy crap! Wang Feng also knows ice magic?"
"Oh my god, two ice realms?"
"No, not a domain—it's a pseudo-domain created by top-grade spirit seeds!"
Everyone in Mingzhu Academy was stunned.
"No, why does Wang Feng have a fourth element? Healing, summoning, space, and now ice?"
"Super-class mage?"
"How is that possible! A twenty-year-old super-class mage?"
"Dual-element awakening? He really has dual faculties!"
"The captain seems suppressed. What should we do?" Ming Cong asked anxiously. Wang Feng and Mu Ningxue each had spiritual seeds, so the color of their ice differed. Observant eyes could tell Wang Feng's ice magic was stronger.
"Hmph! I'll help the captain!" Lu Zhenghe shouted. He quickly drew a star map, and a moon-white light emerged.
"Contract Summoning — Ghost Pattern Violent Wolf!"
A wolf-like creature, massive and ferocious, appeared. Its saber-toothed fangs gleamed, and exaggerated blue stripes ran along its body, as if sealing unknown power.
"Oh my God! A general-level wolf!" a spectator exclaimed.
"Dark-patterned Wolf! Go help the captain!" Lu Zhenghe commanded.
The wolf roared and leaped toward Wang Feng, like a small mountain aiming to crush him.
But just as it pounced, Xiao Feng shouted, "Something's wrong!" His eyes focused on Mo Fan, Zhao Manyan, and Luo Song standing at the edge of the arena.
What he saw in their eyes was not fear, but ridicule.
"A little wolf cub dares to interfere in Ning Xue and my reminiscing?" Wang Feng laughed, coldness flashing in his eyes.
A crescent-shaped star track appeared behind him, silver light spilling like moonlight across the arena.
"Moon! Fix it!" Wang Feng commanded.
A giant silver-white wolf, slightly smaller than the Ghost Patterned Wolf but even more violent, leaped from the star track. Its fur shone like moonlight, eyes like cold stars.
"Roar—!"
The silver-white wolf clashed with the ghost-patterned wolf.
"Bang!"
With a single swing of its claws, the silver-white wolf sent the ghost-patterned wolf flying.
