That was hell.
Every cell in his body screamed in pain.
His stomach churned, his mind clouded, his body burned from within.
His skin began to sting and fall off.
His whole body was suffering, burning, but it was worse than being burned alive, much worse.
"Aaaaaaaah!" A scream escaped Lloyd's throat.
The boy had jumped up, and now found himself leaning forward, breathing raggedly while clutching his chest.
His body was drenched in so much sweat that his clothes had stuck to his skin.
His breathing began to calm while he observed his surroundings.
Only by doing so could he calm down a bit.
It had all been a dream, he was no longer in that horrible place.
He was no longer in the temple, he had already left the trial.
There was nothing more to fear.
Lloyd repeated that idea multiple times in his head, like a mantra to calm himself.
Soon his whole body relaxed, his heart, which pounded forcefully in his chest, began to beat more slowly.
