The office was silent when Lloyd returned.

The snow kept falling behind the windows, slow and constant, partially covering the city's metallic structures. From that height, a large part of Cocytus could be seen functioning even at those hours of the morning; columns of smoke rising toward the gray sky, rails vibrating from the passage of industrial trains, and small points of light moving between streets covered in frost.

The territory breathed.

And that still felt strange to him.

Lloyd closed the door behind him while slowly removing his black gloves. The combat between Sköll and Hati was still fresh in his mind. Those two had truly become absurdly promising monsters. The training field had been reduced to a wasteland of molten rock and broken frost, a mute testimony to the level they were reaching.

Especially Hati.

Her precision was beginning to border on something dangerous, a mental edge that cut before the sword itself even moved.
