Adelyn blinked, staring at herself in the mirror.
Her reflection looked the same as always, yet her gaze kept drifting back to her lips, which were slightly redder and a little swollen.
She still couldn't understand what had just happened.
She hadn't merely been kissed. She had been kissed in a way that she simply couldn't bring herself to resist.
Her fingers rose to her lips, gently touching them as she felt the lingering warmth.
Has kissing always been so irresistible?
The thought crossed her mind.
She had never tried kissing anyone before. Yet the way his lips had felt against hers today somehow didn't feel like a first kiss.
Rather, it felt nostalgic.
As though she had experienced it before —something just as irresistibly intense, something she simply couldn't fight against.
And yet, somehow, she couldn't remember it at all.
The feeling was so strong that she couldn't quite shake it off.
Not completely.
