Ahhhhhhh~~~~
Raiden slowly opened his eyes, they shone brightly for a moment before dimming to their usual calm intensity…
A bitter smile appeared on his lips as he surveyed his surroundings…
His practice this time being even more devastating..
The land looked dry, cracked earth and yellow dust drifted lazily with the wind..
It looked as if the place had been untouched by life since forever…
His {Life Drain} had done more than just drain the demon's essence, it had drained the life from the surrounding forest, the trees, the birds, the land itself..
And with {Death Origin Sutra} converting all that into pure death essence, the results spoke for themselves…
"All that, and I barely reached the 7th level of the apprentice realm" Raiden couldn't help shaking his head…
"Maybe it's because these demons are only inferior bloodline demons?" He thought…
Demons, as they were briefed recently by his uncle Malcom, did not cultivate the way they, altheans did, they didn't have mana affinity or aura grades, no, their talent, power, and upper limits were determined solely by their bloodline grades…
Starting from lowest to highest as, inferior, common, uncommon, noble, royal, imperial, and then Infernal…
The rulers of the demon world, the infernal houses, were wielders of these highest grade bloodlines..
Thought he general publicly was only made known of the first 4 grades, as anything else might cause mass despair, now, if there were any grades beyond the infernal, Malcom had refused to say, but Raiden, cultivating something as unfathomable as {Death Aura Refinement Technique} wasn't so convinced the Infernal grade bloodline was the limit, hell it sounded even weaker than what god grade cultivation techniques granted them…
No that's not the point now..
Tossing out the useless thoughts, he focused back on the present..
Their target this time was an Uncommon bloodline holder, a more powerful variant of the demons they'd been encountering so far…
It should give me a much better boost right?
He thought, not really confident in that outcome…
He could sense it, the amount of energy required to ascend to the eighth level felt like an abysmal chasm..
And this is just the eighth stage, what about the 9th, what about the perfected apprentice realm…
Raiden shuddered lightly at that thought, the very notion of the ungodly amount of essence needed to reach the perfected apprentice realm almost made him depressed…
"Hooooo~~~ alright, no more depressing thoughts, let's get this mission over with first, and then we can ask uncle Malcom if there's any where I can farm life essence" he said lightly, getting up with a stretch, not feeling anything off with the fact that his words sounded like someone planning mass genocide….
*************
The main mountain stood like a monolith of darkness, although nothing more than a boulder when compared to the tyrant's abode, it's height was considerable, demonic energy oozed from every corner, the trees, plants, insects, animals, everything on this piece of land had mutated, contaminated with demonic energy, turning them into demon beasts, lustful for carnage and corruption…
Within a cavern at the top of the mountain's peek…
The interior of the space looked nothing like something formed on a mountain..
With a soft red carpeted spread carefully on the floor, an ornate crystal chandelier hanging cleanly from the treated mountain roof, a long mahogany table rested within the center of the space, at the head of the table sat a goat headed demon, but this one looked nothing like it's counterparts..
Adorned in a form fitting black tuxedo, it's goat's head gleamed a golden sheen, giving less the look of livestock, and more of a regal bearing, it's right eye wearing a single golden monocle, in it's right hand, a cup of swirling champagne…
It looked less like a demon, and more of an aristocrat…
Bal'Phor, a Tier 4, uncommon bloodline wielding Baphometh, made it clear as to why the difference in tier mattered..
His Tier 4 aura pressed calmly all around the vast halls, his expression calm, he'd known what was happening around him for a while now, yet he remained largely unaffected..
Not when the three young humans, clearly only apprentices or tier 1, in demon hierarchy, had obliterated tier 4 demons with surprising ease…
After all, he'd seen monstrous existences within the Infenal Wrath Lands, that made the concept of levels and tiers, meaningless…
So he remained unshaken, sure in the fact that the three cubs were already at their wits end, after all, one had already collapsed, and is just now stirring awake…
"Ma'vos, Za'vos, Ra'vos" his magnetic voice sounded through the chamber…
"At your command" three towering demons appeared…
They didn't bear a goat head..
They looked eerily similar to the demon Leon had once erased…
"We'll be receiving visitors soon, make sure they're well received", Bal'Phor gave the order..
"We live to obey" and the three demons accepted it..
These demons, once proud citizens of the INFERNAL PRIDE LANDS, could now only swallow said pride, bow their heads, and accept their fate….
And so, they moved, their peak stage tier 4 aura rolling out…
It seemed the intel received had been a little incorrect, for whilst it was told the three young kids that the nest only had a single, uncommon bloodline wielding peak tier 4 demon, it would seem, the number was mistaken…
Now whether this mistake was an oversight, or just the twisted mentality of one uncle that has what seemed to be an over abundance of faith in his nephews, we would never know…..

A/N: so, y'all think it was deliberate on Malcom's part? Or was it truly an error?
