Chapter 149 - Farewell to the Sky Island! The Evolved Warship Carrying Dreams and Gold

"Man… this 'god' really got wrecked."

Usopp cautiously walked over and nudged Enel's waist with his foot.

"Now he just looks like some street thug who got beaten up for stealing."

"Be careful, Usopp."

Robin closed her book and stepped forward.

"Even with Seastone suppressing him, a Logia user of this level has far greater vitality than normal people."

"If those cuffs come off, he could instantly turn this ship into a massive high-voltage field."

"Then we lock him somewhere safe."

Ronan stepped forward and lifted Enel with one hand.

Under the suppression of Seastone, Enel couldn't even maintain basic physical strength, let alone transform into lightning.

Even in his unconscious state, faint groans escaped him—the result of his Devil Fruit being forcibly suppressed at its core.

"Merry, open up."

Ronan spoke calmly.

The evolved Golden Merry immediately responded.

The metallic-gold floor beneath the storage area rippled like water, opening into a perfectly sealed chamber.

Ronan tossed Enel inside.

"Luffy, are you really planning to bring him back to Blackbeard?"

Sanji leaned against the doorway, cigarette in his mouth, expression serious.

"The Rumble-Rumble Fruit… that's basically synonymous with 'invincible.'"

"If something goes wrong during extraction…"

"Shishishi, it'll be fine!"

Luffy sat on the railing, picking his teeth casually.

"We'll keep an eye on things. And if Nami can control lightning…"

He grinned.

"We won't have to worry about storms anymore, right?"

Nami, who had been lost in fantasies of wealth, snapped back to reality.

Her cheeks flushed slightly, but her eyes lit up with ambition.

"Lightning power…"

She clenched her fist, glancing toward the dark chamber.

"If I really get that power… I'll make every pirate on the sea tremble at the name 'Thunder Goddess!'"

"Wait—please!"

Just as the Merry prepared to set sail—

Conis and her father, Pagaya, rushed to the shore along with hundreds of Sky Islanders.

Conis held a large bundle of fresh sky fruits, her eyes brimming with tears.

She stepped forward and handed them to Ronan, her voice trembling.

"Thank you… for defeating that tyrant. Please accept this, it's the least we can do."

"Conis… live well."

Ronan accepted the basket and gently patted her shoulder.

"Without Enel, this sky belongs to you now."

In the distance, Wyper and the Shandian warriors stood on a ridge.

They said nothing.

Instead, they raised their weapons and fired a unified volley into the sky.

It was the highest form of respect a warrior could offer.

"Luffy—! Come back again someday!"

Conis shouted as the ship slowly drifted away.

"Yeah—! We will!!"

Luffy stood on the golden sheep figurehead, waving both arms enthusiastically.

The Merry sailed smoothly across the White Sea.

A world of pure silver stretched endlessly.

The cloud ocean shimmered under sunlight, glowing like mother-of-pearl.

The ship's golden armor gleamed brilliantly against the white backdrop.

"Hey! Look! It's the end!"

Luffy shouted from the figurehead.

Everyone rushed forward.

In the far distance—

The endless cloud sea suddenly broke apart.

Beyond it lay a vast, deep blue void—

The gateway back to the Blue Sea below.

"So that's… the end of the clouds?"

Nami held her map tightly, her eyes filled with awe and a hint of reluctance.

"I didn't think this dreamlike journey would end so soon…"

"Wow… incredible…" Usopp murmured.

At the edge, massive clouds cascaded downward like a waterfall—

Forming a vertical sky river.

Ancient stone pillars stood at the gateway—

A final monument of the heavens.

Ronan stood quietly, spear in hand, sensing the air.

He could feel the subtle movements within the clouds.

And beneath his feet, the Merry felt more stable than ever after absorbing so much gold.

"So… we're going down now?"

Luffy's usual excitement carried a rare seriousness.

Sanji exhaled smoke slowly.

"Yeah… even after such an amazing adventure, it's hard to leave."

"Guess it's goodbye to this white sea."

Zoro sat on the railing, hand resting on his sword, gazing into the endless clouds.

"Sky Island was incredible."

Chopper clung to the rail.

"I don't want to leave…"

Nami stepped out from the treasure-filled cabin.

She looked back at the fading sky island and smiled softly.

"We'll come back someday."

"This isn't the end."

"Alright everyone—!"

Luffy pressed down his straw hat, grinning.

"Let's head back to the Blue Sea! Full speed ahead!!"

"BOOM—!"

The Golden Merry plunged forward like a golden dragon diving into the abyss.

At first—

It slid rapidly along the slanted cloud path.

Mist rushed past them.

Wind howled against the sails.

But suddenly—

Everything collapsed.

"What?!" Nami cried out.

The cloud river beneath them—

Vanished.

In an instant—

The Merry lost all support.

And began falling—

Straight down—

Into the endless sky below.
