(Third Person POV)
Desiree and Oneth had reached the other two, seeing that Zarias was recovering from their attacks.
"The Artifact....!" Oneth said with a surprised expression, "It's right on their hands!"
Desiree shook her head, "No, not yet." She said, "We'll prevent them from getting their hands on it."
Zarias looked at Samuel then at Sharn, seeing that their wounds had healed. He then looked over to the Elf and Demon, a disgusted scowl appearing on his face.
"You're joking." He said, "You trash managed to heal up?"
Obui was wincing in pain, "What the hell hit me?" He said, "This...."
"Runepowder rounds." Anessa said, "Stand back. If you get hit in the head, you're dead."
"Tch...." Obui said, looking at Samuel, "Is that the one that shot me?"
"Yes." Anessa said as she stepped forwards, "Zarias, if you don't deal with this, we'll have to."
"Shut up." Zarias said, "This won't take long."
Samuel smirked, "Round 2, asshole." He said, "I'll make sure to finish it."
"That is my line, brat." Zarias glared at him, "I'll-"
A Magic Circle appeared on his chest, cutting him off. It then released a spark of magic power and he was hit by a powerful explosion that sent him reeling back.
Anessa saw as Desiree got closer, her hand lifted up and glowing dark purple. She narrowed her eyes, deducing that the Elf was a powerful mage who could match Zarias under certain conditions.
Zarias glared at Desiree, "I'll start with you." He said, his body smoking, "You're the reason they're still alive."
"Oh my." Desiree said, "You're tougher than you look. I mean, I guess that the human's attack is what weakened you in the first place."
Sharn composed herself, "What do we do?" She said, "There are three of them. And this one is enough to handle us at once. If they all attack us, we'll be done for!"
"We'll take all of the help we can get." Samuel said, turning around and shooting the cage door open, "Let's hope this one can fight."
Obui smirked, "You'll be killing yourself if you let that thing out." He said, "You don't know what you're doing."
Samuel looked at him, "Fuck off, nobody asked for your opinion."
From within the cage, the man who was in rags slowly crawled out, standing up and straightening up. He was quite tall, a bit taller than Sharn herself who was already quite tall. He had a very muscular frame, a bit thicker than Sharn's.
His bright yellow eyes were piercing right through Samuel as he snorted through his nostrils, "You....." His voice was raspy, "Who are....you?"
"I can ask you the same thing, buddy." Samuel said, "You know these fuckers?"
"They've kept me imprisoned since the Chief was killed." He said, "They are nothing but weaklings who use cowardly tactics."
"F-Father...." Sharn's expression softened, tears forming in her eyes, "No...."
Samuel looked at the man, "Well, do me a favor for releasing you." He said, "If you can fight, help us out."
"I'll do you one better." The Man said, "I'll shred that Vampire to pieces. But I require a bit of a boost. They've drained me of my blood."
He showed him his wrist, which had a large gash on it.
"Oneth!" Samuel called, "Heal this man."
Oneth slithered over, "What? Who is he?"
"Just do it." Samuel looked at Obui and Anessa, who were still on the pedestal, "This is what is going to happen, heal him and he'll help us. I'll deal with those two. Something is telling me that they're not as strong as Zarias, considering that they want him to deal with all of us."
"Don't be cocky, Samuel!" Oneth said as she cast a healing spell on the man
"Samuel." The Man said, "That is your name, boy?"
"Yea." Samuel looked at him
"My name is Lyon." the man said as his body began to rip apart, "For releasing me, I am grateful. As a thanks, I will do battle with that Vampire, even if it costs me my own life."
Lyon had suddenly transformed into a massive anthropomorphic black lion with bright yellow eyes, his frame towering over everyone there. He then let out a bone-chilling growl as he stepped forward; his imposing figure was an intimidating sight.
"A Beastblood....." Sharn said, "WereLion...."
Lyon then lunged at Zarias, swinging his claws at the Vampire viciously. Zarias merely lifted his arm up to block the blow, causing a powerful shockwave that caused cracks to appear on the ground.
Zarias looked at Lyon as he let out a vicious roar, "Tch...." He said, "You stupid feline. You are not-"
Lyon swung his other claw at him, striking his chest and ripping it apart as Zarias was sent flying back. The Vampire hit the wall hard, causing a massive shockwave as Lyon let out another vicious roar, his eyes glowing brightly.
Desiree looked a bit dumbfounded by this, "Wow." She said, "This guy is strong."
Lyon stepped forwards, snarling viciously, "My wrath is inevitable, Vampire." His voice was far deeper, "I shall rip you to shreds!"
Zarias emerged from the rubble caused by the impact, "Tch...." He said as he looked at this, "A stupid cat, trying to match me in power? How pathetic."
"Zarias is quite strong." Anessa said, "I don't think a malnourished Werelion can take him. Be ready, Abaddon weaklings, you-"
She was cut off by a bullet piercing her shoulder, causing her to stagger as blood sprayed out.
"Hey, bitch." Samuel said, a scowl on his face, "We're still here."
Anessa gave Samuel a bloodshot glare, "You filthy human." She said, "I'm going to kill you."
"You look human to me too, dumbass." Samuel said, "But you're a bloodsucking freak, that's the only difference between you and me."
"I will rip your skin off, you shitstain." Anessa said as her wound slowly healed, "And I will lick your blood clean."
Sharn glared at her, "Shut up." She said, "I'm going to make you pay for what you did."
Obui was still wincing, "This could get ugly." He said, "But we'll make sure we accomplish our goal here."
"Yea, try it." Samuel said, pointing his gun at him, "I'll put a bullet in your skull, prick."
As he said this, The System appeared next to Samuel:
