/1 Year and 10 Months before the Start of Season 1\
We start this chapter in the dream realm. We see Luna, Kurat and Adam playing a game of Uno! Let's see who wins, shall we~
The Trio stare at each other with questioning looks.
Luna: *Stares at Kurat and Adam*
Adam: *Stares at Luna and Kurat*
Kurat: *Stares at Adam and Luna*
….
"Draw 4, Adam!" Kurat said.
Adam smirked, "no," Adam showed his own Draw 4, "Luna draws 8."
"Sorry Kurat," Luna places her Draw 4, "Draw 12~"
Kurat stares at his hand, 'I have to draw 12 more damn cards?!' Kurat groaned and drawed 12 new cards.
*Giggles*
Kurat saw Luna giggle as she watched Kurat draw more cards. "It seems that luck favours those who are not idiotic."
"WHA-OH YOU!" Kurat was cut off by Adam.
"Luna, I have to ask: what language do you really speak? I just need a clear answer on that." Adam was curious as Kurat and him assumed the world also used English and Old English
"Huh? We use the Ponish Language." Luna answered the curious Adam.
"I see… so is there a variation? Like "Thou" and "Thy" and "Thee"?" Adam was slowly taking mental notes in his mind.
Luna paused for a moment before answering, "yes we use those, it's called Old Ponish. But from the questions, you're not really knowledgeable about this. Right?"
"Yes. To be honest… Can I tell her Kurat?" Adam asked.
Kurat thought for a moment…"ehh, sure! Why not, it's not like she'll tell anyone." Kurat shrugged his shoulders.
"Alright."
*Ahem!*
Luna looked confused, "umm? Tell me what exactly?"
Adam answered Luna, "we are not from this world. Kurat was originally not a pony, and I am originally…a spell, or in our case, I am a [Skill]."
Luna looks even more confused, "ok? I already knew that."
Kurat and Adam looked at Luna with a dumbfounded expression.
"What? It was obvious. Remember I watched you two from my mirror? And the forms you both, or mainly Kurat here, take, are not of this world. And before being imprisoned on the moon, me and Celestia would often travel around Equus." Luna continued, "we mainly travelled all around Equestria, but the underwater kingdom of the Hippogriffs, the scorching mountains of the dragons, and when-" Luna paused for a second before asking, "wait…. Have I told you both about my teacher? Star Swirl the Bearded?"
"Uhh, no? But we know who he is. And also, WHAT?!" Kurat Answered.
"Hmm, yes. I think it was obvious if you put it that way. From your travels, you might have never seen a species like Kurat and I before?" Adam said.
"DON'T DODGE THE QUESTION! YOU AND CELESTIA TRAVELLED ALL AROUND THE DAMN WORLD?! I COULD ONLY VISIT JAPAN ONCE A YEAR-" Kurat's ramblings were cut off by Luna. They both ignored Kurat.
"I have not. And to continue, my teacher once told me and my sister about a world, where there's no magic, no talking ponies, and it was dominated by creatures with similar features to you both." Luna continued with a question, "and another thing: what's a [Skill]?"
Adam took in deep breaths, "hoo, ok! Glad we got all that out. And to answer your question, [Skills] are, what you can say, a higher form of power. What Kurat used to defeat Nightmare Moon were skills, of course I make him take magic lessons and magic theory and historical classes, mainly for blending into this world and for my personal knowledge gain. And another note: I am a [Skill], but a rare one to say the least, and Kurat is not," Adam waved his hands to Kurat, "this. This was his former form before becoming a pony. And to improve this friendship further, he's an Alicorn."
"….what?" Luna was shocked to say the least.
"And 3…2….1…." Kurat counted down, pointing to Luna and knowing the impending wave of questions coming to them.
Q&A Montage! ->
Luna was bubbling with excitement and questions.
Luna: "How do skills work?"
Adam: "Like Spells, but some skills can work as a passive. Like granting immunities to certain dangers, or allowing one to use chantless magic."
Luna: "How do you acquire these skills?"
Kurat: "Normally for me, it just happens. But for my guess, it requires a certain achievement to be made, or a very strong will. Skills are bound to the soul, and although they can be copied by a certain series of skills, they are never truly at their peak because a Skill can only reach their maximum potential by fusing together with the user's soul. Adam taught me most of that, but yeah! I only know my way of getting skills, which in general, should be close to impossible."
Luna: "Ok? Is there like a tier system to these skills? Like a Magic Spell Ranking System?"
Adam: "Yes. Skills are divided into a few tiers. From the bottom: Common Skills, which can be acquired by anyone through some hard word. Extra Skills: which can be gained through a strong will, or by evolution through a common skill, but is quite hard to do. Unique Skill: are on the border of GOD like abilities. Like for me, I am a Unique Skill, or more precisely. [Unique Skill: True Sage], and these types of skills are mostly gotten by transmigration through other worlds, given at birth, or gifted by certain individuals. But Unique Skills and Above require a certain capacity in the soul for it to be used. Therefore, owning a multitude of these skills could cause the soul to fracture, or destroy under its own weight."
Luna: *shocked by the explanation but nodded for Adam to continue*
Adam: *Ahem!* "As I was saying, Kurat here possesses a multitude of Unique Skill, but because some could be considered GOD like, like myself, they needed to be removed, but only a certain Skill can do that, so I used another method: Locking. Because of my range of abilities, I locked away only the most powerful, yet dangerous of skills. And the battle that you saw, between Nightmare Moon and Kurat, he used 2 Unique Skill that are normally locked. Also to explain what a "Locking" is, it simply tricks the very system and soul that the skill is no longer there, making space for new skills. But in reality, the skills are kept away, deep within the confines of the soul, which only to be unleashed when necessary." Adam needed to clear his throat again.
Luna: *you can practically see stars in her eyes* "WOW! So, these "skills" are basically a higher form of magic? Do I have a Skill? And was that black mist and wheel on Kurat's Head, the "Locked" Unique Skill?"
Before Adam could answer, Kurat stepped in to explain.
Kurat: "Eeyup! The Wheel is part of a unique Skill called: Adaptability. Basically, it allows me to adapt to any foe, or any outcome or event. And I pondered this a bit, given I am an Alicorn, age will not affect me, but if it did, the wheel would adapt and I would stop aging, granting me a semi-immortal status. But that is just a theory as this skill is still far from evolution, and the adaptation would only last during an epic fight, thanks to Adam, as if he did not regulate my Adaptations and its effects, haha… I would be a walking NUKE!"
Luna: "Uhh…"
Adam: "What Kurat was trying to say is that, in theory, this Unique Skill can slowly, but surely, surpass even its own creators. And to what Kurat said, I am "trying" to regulate the Adaptation, but it's very difficult, and I need to be an Ultimate Skill to do that, which brings me to the final tier of skill: Ultimate Skills." *Ahem!!*
Luna: "Uhh, wait, so those skills could make Kurat…. A God" Luna was shocked by the revelation.
Kurat: "EEEEYES! But Adam said I needed to be more "grounded" and my locked, overpowered abilities needed a limit, but yes, I could become a God, but until then… I am just a walking boy with abilities that can wipe out cities!"
Luna: *Shocked Face* "So… what about that black mist?"
Adam: "It was part of a Sin Series Skill: Gluttony. But explaining it is… difficult"
Luna: *Tilted her head slightly* "And why is that?" Luna was filled with confusion.
Adam: "Best we avoid that subject. Back to the main course, Ultimate Skills. Basically: Abilities that can theoretically make one look and act like a GOD. Skills that bend the rules of reality to their advantage, and their rule. As for myself, I can be mistaken as one, due to my abilities!"
Kurat: "And that comes with a parent switch… making me do homework…" Kurat mumbled that last part.
Adam: "Like I said before and will continue to say, it is for both your and mine own good."
Kurat: "…suuuuuurreee…."
Adam: *sighs*
Luna giggled at their childish antics.
Luna: "Back to a former question: could I acquire a skill? Even if it's just one, is it possible?"
Adam: "Well, the thing is…" Kurat cuts Adam off.
Kurat: "You already have one!"
Luna was surprised by Kurat's answer, but he continued.
Kurat: "Your Unique Skill is: Dreamwalker. You know? Walking and interacting in the dream realm? Seeing others dreams? After I destroyed and absorbed Nightmare Moon, I got one as well… but Adam locked it… taking all the fun away…"
Adam: "You CANNOT DENY THAT YOU WOULD TERRORISE MANY DREAMS WITH YOUR BULLSH*T!"
Kurat: "OI! IT WAS JUST A THOUGHT!"
Adam: "AN EVIL AND DEVILISH ONE AT THAT!!"
Kurat: "EY!!"
They continued their argument, while Luna watched with a smile on her face. 'What untold adventures would I experience if I continued to follow you two?'
With many more questions, Luna decided to postpone them, even if she might forget them, she could always ask different ones at a later date. Right now, she wanted to watch her two friends bickering like little children.

We now transition to both Adam and Kurat taking deep breaths and exhaling loudly, they argued a good amount of time. Luna came into view, passing them both some drinks.
"Thank You" Kurat said to Luna.
"My Thanks to you as well" Adam replied after.
Luna slightly nodded and said, "it was no problem! In fact, there is another question I actually need answered."
Kurat and Adam looked at Luna with questioning stares while taking large sips of their beverages.
"My Question Is: How did Kurat become an Alicorn? Because from my knowledge, you need to achieve a suitable accomplishment, or take on an impossible challenge and come out on top, or live one's life in a certain way, or just straight being born as one! Me and Celestia were given our Alicorn forms after we got our Cutie Marks, which represents our achievements to control either the Sun or Moon, or both! And from my guess, Celestia has somehow gained the knowledge to control the moon, seeing as I am nothing more than a legend from the texts you and Adam have brought to me." Luna finished her question with a large intake of air.
Kurat was about to answer when Adam interrupted. "To that question… we do not know. All we know is that Kurat woke up as one," eyeing Kurat, a sigh that says "do not fu*king tell her that a GOD allowed you to choose your damn form."
Kurat started to sweat a bit and answered after Adam, "he-he's right Luna!" Kurat looks at Adam, 'why can't we just tell her?'
'Really? Do I have to spell it out for you? You just heard how Alicorns come to be! If you tell her that "you choose the Alicorn race as it was the most suitable option from a GOD", what do you think her reaction will be? Hmm?!'
Kurat quickly stopped looking at Adam and fell silent…
Luna saw the atmosphere and thought that Kurat did something quite regretful to gain his Alicorn Form. She already knew that they were not from Equus, but guessed that Kurat did something to earn his wings. She quickly changed the subject, "soo… another round of Uno?" She levitated the Uno Card Deck in front of Kurat and Adam.
They both agreed and Luna dealt the cars to one another…
(A/N: To add for Luna: She thinks that Kurat did something horrible before she started to watch him and Adam. And she took the line "we woke up as one" as a sign that explaining how he became an Alicorn would be a painful process to say. But… she was, VERY, far from the truth…)

We see Kurat in a very bad mood, mostly because he lost every single round of Uno.
*groans*
"Can we play something else? Like Poker or something?" Kurat wanted to play a game he was better in… he had a mild gambling addiction back on Earth.
"Umm, you want to gamble?" Luna asked.
Adam raised an eyebrow at Luna, "you know of Poker?"
"Yeah! Back when… before Nightmare Moon, me, my sister, and a few royal guards would hold Poker Nights. My sister would lose the most every time!" Luna giggled a bit from the memory.
"Oh really? So even in a different world, gambling will continue to exist?" Kurat eyed Adam, hinting at him to make a Poker Deck of Cards and some Poker Chips.
Adam ignored Kurat's glare and got up. "It seems our time is nearing. Shall we wrap this up?"
"What? Oh, a few more minutes?" Luna begged.
"I'm sorry Luna, but the sun draws near the horizon. And I need you to ask Kurat that question." Luna immediately knew what Adam meant by that question.
Kurat looked at them both, confused. "Umm, what question?"
*Ahem!*
Luna cleared her throat before asking, "Kurat." Luna got back up, "would you consider to live among the locals of this "Ponyville?""
"….huh?"
"What Luna meant was, meet some other people, or in our case, ponies. We can't keep living here in an old castle forever. The World Of Equus is filled with adventures and mysteries!" Adam finished his speech. Walking towards Kurat, taking his hand and making him walk towards Luna.
Luna asked Kurat to pat her head, which he did without question, still thinking about their earlier.
"Hmm…why? I don't need adventures, as the EverFree forest is still unexplored to most. I have you and Luna, which should count as something! And I practically lived my entire life in Equestria inside that 'old castle.'" Kurat complained.
"I know that, and I am glad to be your friend Kurat. But you must understand, I am still trapped here, and only you and Adam would keep my company. Although I hate for you both to leave the castle, it's run down and old, and has the memories of old battles…" Luna finished with a single tear leaving her eyes.
Adam continued, "look. I know it's hard, but we can't continue our growth if we're kept here forever. And so, I have a proposal for you."
Both Luna and Kurat said "Huh?" Even Luna was surprised at the sudden revelation.
"My offer is simple: After Luna is freed, we do the whole "Nightmare Moon" stunt. You are to head to Ponyville and set up a base there, maybe even a shop to sell copies of your manga. Of course, you can refuse, but the Main 6 and Celestia would come often and ask questions, questions that I would hate to answer, and Luna would keep our power and real Identity origins hidden," Adam turned to Luna, "right Luna?"
Luna, taking the hint, agreed with Adam."Of course! I will even keep your existence hidden as well." Luna answered. Adam nodded at Luna.
Adam turned to Kurat, "so? What do you think? Want to take my offer? Or stick to the old. I am fine either way, but, the former is a way better route for all of us. Luna can come visit whenever, we wouldn't be far, and you get to not worry about fighting for survival and scavenging for food."

Kurat thought for a moment, he needed some time to process Adam's offer. "I-I'll think about it…"
"Take as long as you need Kurat!" Luna quickly glowed her horn, waking up Kurat.

"GAH!" Kurat got up, "Adam!"
[Right here dude]
"Oh, good…" Kurat exhaled.
"Alright, so you both want me to live in Ponyville?" Kurat asked.
[Yes. Besides, wouldn't it be fun to see the main cast?]
"Hmmmm…." Adam cuts Kurat's train of thought.
[You get to meet Derpy Hooves, or is it Ditzy Doo? I still need an answer to that]
"Oh really? I get to meet the famous Derpy? The one pony the whole community loves? The one pony anyone would die to meet? WEL!! WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SO!!!" Kurat got up from his futon and asked Adam to relay a message to Luna.
[Alright, what is the message?]
*Ahem!*
(A/N: How many more times should they clear their damn throats! THEY ARE NOT SINGING IN AN OPERA!!)
"Dear Princess Luna-" Kurat was cut off.
[Yeah, no. Just tell me what you want to say to her, there's no need for formality between friends. We call her 'Luna' and her sister 'Celestia' without the whole "Princess" thing]
"Oh, right. Hey Luna! Adam convinced me to go to Ponyville immediately! Don't ask how, it's a bit embarrassing~ SEE YOU TONIGHT!" Kurat finished.
[Message sent. Luna seems happy for us. And she is delighted to hear about your venture to Ponyville, and she might ask you on how I convinced you~]
Kurat was currently packing his stuff, "yeah, yeah. She will know soon. Right now! I-where did I put my Hazbin Hotel Comics?" Kurat started to search for his missing comic book.
[*sighs*]
[Will you agree to my proposal then? Since you are packing at quite the rapid pace?]
Kurat was checking behind some stone pillars, "Yes Adam. I might or might not Open Shop. I kinda also wanna see how these books do. And I need to ask you something~"
[Oh boy… let me guess? You want me to use the [Unique Skill: Traveller] to head back to Earth, somehow watch through Season Two of Hazbin Hotel and other seasons of other anime's or collect other volumes of manga you left unfinished? Is that the "ask"?]
"Uuuhhh….yes?" Kurat ended with a squeaky 'yes'.
[…I will think about it…]
Kurat was overjoyed at Adam's response, "REALLY!!!"
[Yes. But you must be on your best behaviour in Ponyville. Understood?]
"Yes Dad!" Kurat continued his search for the missing comic book.
[Did-did you just call me Dad?]
Kurat blushed red for a second before answering, "uhh, maybe? LOOK! IT WAS AT THE HEAT OF THE MOMENT!" Adam cuts Kurat off.
[No no, it's alright Kurat. I know it was an accident…]
*Phew!*
"Thanks for understanding. Now, where the hell is that DAMN COMIC BOOK!!"
