Every line of his body radiates it. I can see the amusement lightening his forest-green eyes, making them more charming, which in turn makes them infinitely more irritating.
Great going, Goddess, I think bitterly. Sending this silver-tongued hulk onto my path just to make me forget, even for a second, that I've sworn off men entirely.
"Thank you," I mutter finally. I wet my dry lips and clear my throat, desperate to steady the tremor in my voice. "Thank you very much for saving my ass back there, Tavric."
