Chapter 75 -  Yuki vs. Boruto [Scientific Ninja Tool: “Hundredfold Firepower”] (Part 1)

Yuki and Boruto stood facing each other in the arena.

In the stands, having secured the best camera angle, Ao Tōno turned to the assistant in charge of recording and said, "Make sure you capture Young Master Boruto's heroic performance clearly. This will be invaluable promotional material for scientific ninja tools in the future."

The assistant grinned. "Leave it to me, Mr. Tōno!"

On the field, Boruto's emotions were tangled.

He looked at Yuki, who stood with her arms crossed, clenched his fists, raised his head, and said,

"You should forfeit."

"Why?" Yuki asked flatly.

"At least then you won't get hurt. I don't want to hurt you," Boruto said seriously.

"Oh?" Yuki raised an elegant eyebrow. "So you're saying you're confident in your strength?"

Boruto gave a self-mocking smile. "Not really. I just… have a reason I can't afford to stop here."

"Interesting." Yuki lowered her arms and placed one hand on her hip. "Then let me see how you fight for that reason."

Boruto sighed inwardly.

So it's unavoidable…

"Then I'll end this quickly and cleanly!"

He formed a "six" sign with his right hand.

"Click!"

The external module of his scientific ninja tool slid out from his sleeve, displaying the character for "Wind."

He gripped a miniature scroll.

"Buzz!"

A wind-imbued shuriken materialized in his hand.

This was the very technique he had used in the original timeline to finish off Yurui in the finals.

Once thrown, the shuriken, aided by Wind Release, would follow an unpredictable trajectory—nearly impossible to defend against.

After locking on, Boruto hurled it.

—Wind Release: Whirlwind Shuriken!

The spinning weapon accelerated, curved sharply, and shot toward Yuki's blind spot.

Boruto felt both guilty and relieved.

It's over… this is for the best.

"Clang!"

The clear metallic ring hit him like a bell of alarm.

His eyes widened.

A kunai shot out from Yuki's dark-blue sleeve, striking the shuriken dead center and pinning it into the ground, where it spun helplessly.

Yuki's right hand, clad in a black tactical fingerless glove, returned to her waist.

Her eyes—three tomoe spinning—locked onto Boruto.

"Get serious, will you? No feints, no setup, and you just throw that out?"

"I was even debating whether I should open my Sharingan!"

Boruto froze.

"Sharingan?! Y-You're an Uchiha too, like Sarada?!"

In the waiting area, Sarada covered her mouth. "No way… she's an Uchiha too?"

Mitsuki clenched his fist. "Same as Feng—three tomoe. And… I feel like her eyes are even stronger. Boruto's in trouble."

On the Kage platform, Kurotsuchi crossed her pale legs and shrugged. "Another Sharingan… At this rate, the Uchiha might've secretly rebuilt their clan somewhere."

Naruto's expression remained heavy.

"So she has the Sharingan too… I expected it after Feng revealed his."

He stared intently at the flustered Boruto.

"Boruto… when I was your age, I was already fighting Sharingan users. With Sarada around, you're familiar with those eyes."

"Show me how much you've really grown."

On the field, Yuki's Sharingan fixed on Boruto as she issued her first—and final—warning.

"I don't know why you've been showing me this unnecessary concern."

"But Uzumaki Boruto… you've misunderstood something."

"I'm not some country-bumpkin Cinderella in your imagination."

"If you don't correct your attitude, the next move will knock you out."

She formed the Horse seal.

—Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation!

"Boom!"

From the moment she revealed her Sharingan, Yuki had no intention of holding back.

She unleashed Great Fire Annihilation at full power.

Standing opposite Boruto, her flames spread horizontally, tearing across the arena from north to south, crushing stone and dust alike.

Before that tidal wave of fire, Boruto looked like an ant before a storm.

"A-ah…"

He stood frozen, mind blank.

"Boruto! Use Water Release, now! You'll die!" Sarada screamed from outside.

He snapped back to reality.

His right hand formed "six," and a scroll popped out.

—Water Release: Water Formation Wall!

"Crash!"

A massive torrent surged up, forming a ten-meter-high water barrier.

But against Great Fire Annihilation…

It vanished in an instant.

The stands erupted.

"You're kidding! The fire overwhelmed the water?!"

"The chakra gap is too huge! Elemental advantage doesn't even matter!"

Six! Six! Six!

"Click! Click! Click!"

At death's door, Boruto stopped thinking.

Three miniature scrolls popped into his hand.

—Water Release: Jade Water Wave!

—Water Release: Explosive Wave!

—Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet!

In rapid succession, he unleashed three high-level Water techniques stored from elite jōnin.

"Roar!"

A deluge formed towering waves, barely holding back the sea of flames.

"Hissssss—!"

Steam erupted, blanketing the battlefield.

"This can't be real… Is this really a fight between genin?!"

Before Boruto could catch his breath, crimson light glowed through the steam.

"Damn it!"

"Boom!" "Boom!" "Boom!"

The remnants of Great Fire Annihilation transformed into blazing meteor-like fireballs, raining down.

They carpet-bombed the western side of the arena.

"Boom!" "Boom!" "Boom!"

Boruto ran in panic amid exploding flames.

In the VIP seats, Akira tightened his grip on his cane.

That Great Fire Annihilation… it's already seventy percent of Uncle Madara's level back then. Far beyond what Yuki could do in academy days.

What exactly did Uncle Madara do to her these past few days?

Behind him, beneath the red oni mask, Madara's Sharingan glimmered with delight.

She's adapting to that power already… Good. Soon, I'll see "that" again.

"Boom!"

As the last fireball fell, Yuki descended into the cratered western zone, overwhelming in presence.

Her Sharingan locked onto Boruto, who was slumped between two flaming pits.

She walked toward him.

Boruto jolted.

He grabbed a ninja blade that had been buried in the ground and unearthed by the explosions.

"D-Don't… don't come closer!"

Yuki ignored him and kept walking.

"You forced me to do this!" Boruto roared, forming "six" again.

"Poof! Poof! Poof! Poof! Poof!"

White smoke burst out, surrounding Yuki.

She stopped, arms crossed, and glanced around.

"Shadow clones. About a hundred."

"Not bad… but way beyond his natural level."

Her gaze pierced the crowd and fixed on Boruto's right hand.

"Every time he casts, he triggers something there. So it's not an injury… there's a mechanism inside."

"Well… fine."

She lowered her arms.

Grabbing two incoming clones—

"Crack!"

She snapped them apart and kicked them into smoke.

Landing, she launched into a storm of fists and kicks, leaving afterimages as she wiped out dozens.

"This isn't how it's supposed to go!"

Under cover of clones, Boruto hurled a kunai with an explosive tag.

Yuki spun lightly, caught it, peeled off the tag, slapped it onto a clone's back, and kicked it into the crowd.

Then she hurled the kunai, infused with lightning.

"Boom!" "Slash!"

Explosion and lightning pierced five clones in a line.

She glanced outward.

Boruto met her gaze—and froze.

The blade fell from his hand.

He stumbled backward as the remaining clones charged.

Yuki flashed to his retreat path, kicked up the fallen sword, and unleashed a flurry of slashes with Sharingan-guided precision.

In moments, the last clones vanished.

Stepping on the final one, she asked calmly,

"Are you fighting with external power?"

The clone snarled. "None of your business!"

"Poof!"

She crushed it and looked toward the smoky edge.

Ten meters away, Boruto stood with his scientific ninja tool fully exposed, aimed straight at her.

Her lips curved. "So… you're done hiding?"

Boruto's face hardened. "You already saw through it."

"It's unfair to you. But I have to win."

"You're too strong."

"But under this tool's 'Rapid-Fire Mode,' you'll only take hits!"

Yuki recalled her father's bedtime stories.

"Oh… so that's a scientific ninja tool."

"Give up now!" Boruto shouted.

Yuki thought briefly.

With this thing… a hundred techniques in rapid succession…

Scientific Ninja Tool: Hundredfold Boruto.

She planted the sword into the ground and grinned.

"Come on~!"

"You asked for it!"

Boruto slammed the button.

Lightning, wind, water, earth, fire—

Five elements fired five times per second!

"Whoosh!"

Yuki vanished.

She glanced back at the raging torrents and flames.

"The firing rate is impressive. And each shot is powerful."

"I can't take these head-on."

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Explosions overlapped endlessly.

Her Sharingan tracked everything.

"…All straight-line trajectories?"

"That obvious a flaw, and the developer still dared to deploy this?"

"Damn it! She's too fast! I can't hit her!"

Boruto adjusted, leading his shots.

But against Yuki's Sharingan, prediction meant nothing.

She stopped, pivoted, reversed, dodged again.

"Not bad… he's adapting."

"Just one hit! One hit and I win!" Boruto went berserk, chasing and spraying wildly.

Shots even blasted into the arena walls.

The steam finally cleared.

Kurotsuchi shouted, "Hokage, look at what your son is doing!"

Naruto clenched his fists. "Boruto…!"

He made a decision.

"We have to stop the match. Otherwise, Yuki will be in danger!"

Dodging endlessly, Yuki glanced at the shattered walls.

"If the stands collapse, the spectators will be hurt…"

"Snap!"

Five dark-red chakra flames ignited on her fingertips.

She slammed her palm into the ground.
