Chapter 149 - 149: A Price for Reze

"Huh?"

Cael stared at her, disbelief clear on his face. How could Fami say something like that so casually?

"Didn't hear me? Fine, I'll say it again."

Her eyes were calm, fixed directly on him.

"I want Cael to kiss me. Not just a normal kiss, it has to be a French kiss."

Cael forced a dry smile. "So this is your idea of filling your mental satiety?"

"Yes," Fami replied without hesitation. "It's simple, efficient, and it should feel good too, right?"

She lightly tapped her lips.

"Hurry up. Once you refill my satiety, we can head to the Soviet Union and deal with what you want."

...

Cael hesitated.

It wasn't that she wasn't attractive. Far from it. As the older sister of Asa and Makima, Fami was undeniably beautiful.

That wasn't the problem.

The problem was that this felt like cheating.

His wives were at home, asleep, while he was out here in the middle of the night doing something like this.

"...Is there really no other way?" he asked.

"There is," she said calmly, "but it's slow."

"If you do this now, my satiety will recover much faster. Then I can help you sooner."

Cael covered his face, conflicted.

"Do you think I'm ugly?" Fami asked.

"No," he replied honestly. "You're a bad woman, just like my wives, and yeah, you're insanely beautiful."

"Then stop wasting time."

She spread her hands slightly.

"And don't worry about status. You already have the third sister and the youngest sister. One more kissing won't make a difference."

Cael let out a long breath.

"That's not the point. The real issue is that I don't like you. I can't kiss someone I don't like."

Fami clicked her tongue softly.

"You're missing the point."

She reached out and took his hand.

"We're going to save someone important to Reze."

"Compared to that, what does a kiss matter?"

"You say you love her, yet you won't pay such a small price?"

"You really are only thinking about yourself."

Her words hit him hard.

Cael froze.

She was right.

His thoughts cleared instantly. He took a deep breath.

"...For Reze, I'll do it."

"Good."

Fami smiled faintly.

Her finger traced lightly along his cheek.

"It doesn't matter if you don't like me. Just think of me as a toy."

She leaned closer, her voice soft near his ear.

"Cael... treat me like one..."

His body stiffened.

Damn, she knew exactly what she was doing.

Just as she moved closer, Cael suddenly covered her mouth.

She ended up kissing his hand instead.

"It's not that I'm refusing," he said awkwardly.

He pulled out a small blue bottle, mint mouthwash.

"You ate a lot earlier. At least rinse your mouth first."

"Alright."

Fami took the bottle and drank a large amount, swishing it before spitting it out.

"Now we can star—mmph..."

Before she could finish, Cael pulled her in and sealed her lips.

His gaze sharpened as he took control.

Despite everything, her lips were unexpectedly soft.

Warm, smooth... annoyingly good.

And since she said it herself, he didn't need to hold back.

Fami's eyes widened slightly, her cheeks flushing.

So this was a French kiss.

It really did feel like jelly.

Without thinking, she bit down lightly.

"Hey, don't bite."

Cael pinched her thigh in irritation.

"Mmh... sorry. It felt like food."

"Yeah? Then I guess you need to be taught properly."

He didn't hold back after that.

Fami closed her eyes, completely inexperienced, letting him take the lead.

Cael almost laughed.

The Hunger Devil, acting like this?

Unbelievable.

Her body trembled slightly as she suppressed any sound.

Just from this alone, her satiety rose rapidly.

A quarter of an hour passed.

She was full.

Completely.

Bang.

A burst of white mist swallowed them.

In the next instant, they reappeared thousands of miles away.

Moscow.

Lubyanka Square.

Snow drifted down around them.

The cold snapped Cael back to reality. He pulled away, releasing her.

Her lips were... honestly impressive.

Different from his wives, but just as good in their own way.

As a toy, she passed.

But there was one issue.

Her head was tilted to the right at an awkward angle.

It wouldn't straighten, no matter what he tried earlier.

He had to tilt his own head just to match her.

Any longer and his neck would have been done for.

"Do you have a neck problem?" Cael said bluntly. "Can't you hold your head straight?"

Fami's expression gradually returned to normal as the cold settled in.

"Oh, right. I don't think I told you."

She touched the scale-shaped earring on her ear.

"I merged with the Justice Devil."

"It manifests through this."

"Justice is never balanced."

"So my head can't stay straight."

Cael raised an eyebrow.

"The Justice Devil? Interesting. Does it always tilt the same way?"

"No."

"When I'm hungry, the left side becomes heavier, so I tilt left."

"When I'm full, the right side is heavier, so I tilt right."

"When both sides are equal, I can briefly stay balanced."

Cael frowned.

"You merged with something that inconvenient just for mind-reading?"

"It's not about willingness," she replied calmly.

"The Justice Devil exists beneath me. It's a part of me."

Cael narrowed his eyes.

"Why?"

Fami looked at him, her expression unreadable.

"Because hunger is justice."
