Chapter 160 - 160: A High-Risk Job

Baleam's screams echoed throughout the space.

Even Cael felt uncomfortable watching, a faint phantom pain creeping through his body.

Fami, on the other hand, watched with full attention, clearly entertained.

"Alright, that's enough," Cael said, stepping in and covering her eyes. "Let's go. We're heading back to eat, no need to keep watching this."

If he could help it, he preferred keeping her a little less twisted.

"Eat?" Fami blinked, snapping out of it. "Okay… Lior, I want roasted yams."

Cael smirked. "Fine. I'll get you forty."

Her face lit up instantly.

"Yay. Love you."

...

X Country (Xia Country).

A developed coastal city.

Inside a five-star hotel, in a top-tier suite.

Five figures occupied the room.

More accurately, one woman and four female fiends.

The woman had long silver-white hair tied in a ponytail and wore a black eyepatch over her right eye. She looked to be in her early twenties, with a confident, commanding presence.

She was the strongest Devil Hunter in X Country.

Guang Xi.

At the moment, she was surrounded by the four fiends.

The Insight Fiend, Ping Cui, had dark gray hair tied into a ponytail that resembled an eel, the tip moving as if it were alive, forming subtle expressions.

The Dragon Fiend, Long, had messy deep red hair and a pair of red horns. She lazily leaned against Guang Xi, her wrists adorned with silver bracelets.

The Cosmos Fiend, Cosmo, had soft pink hair. The right side of her skull was exposed, revealing part of her brain, with a strand tied into a knot. One eye hung loosely, its pupil shaped like a red heart.

The Stitch Fiend had dark green hair, a pale complexion, mismatched pupils, and stitches running across her body.

Among fiends, they were considered exceptionally attractive.

Ping Cui leaned close and whispered,

"Lady Guang Xi, my mind feels completely scrambled."

Guang Xi replied calmly, "That's fine. Scrambled is better."

"Halloween…" Cosmo murmured, her loose eye rolling as she smiled in satisfaction.

Long had already dozed off quietly.

Knock, knock.

A firm knock sounded at the door.

"Come in."

The door opened, and a woman in a military cap and Zhongshan suit stepped in, holding a photograph.

Lin Yun.

"Guang Xi, I have a high-risk commission for you," she said. "The reward will match the danger."

Guang Xi did not even look at her, still focused on the fiends around her.

"So I can name my price?" she asked flatly.

"Yes," Lin Yun replied.

"Good."

Guang Xi's gaze softened slightly as she looked at the four fiends.

"Alright, gifts. Pick what you want."

Ping Cui immediately perked up, pulling the quilt tighter around herself.

"Gifts? That's amazing. I want unlimited donuts. No, a thousand."

Long lazily licked the back of her hand.

"Blood…"

Cosmo wrapped her arms around Guang Xi's neck.

"Halloween! Halloween!"

The Stitch Fiend stayed silent, her stitched mouth preventing her from speaking.

After hearing them out, Guang Xi finally turned her attention to Lin Yun.

"Give them proper household registration," she said calmly. "And full human rights."
