Suguru Geto froze, stunned by Shion's sudden question.
No one had ever asked him that before. Jujutsu Sorcerers usually dealt with exorcisms—taste was irrelevant. Yet, for some reason, a pang of emotion hit him, bitter and odd.
He forced a small, wry smile. "Ah… it's disgusting. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it tastes like… a rag used to wipe up vomit."
"But there's no other way," he added, steeling himself to swallow the cursed spirit ball.
"Wait."
Shion suddenly spoke up, pulling a jar of honey from his robe. He drizzled the sticky sweetness over the cursed spirit ball until it was completely coated.
Geto's expression shifted from curiosity to shock, finally settling into one of disbelief.
"Try it again?" Shion offered, handing the honey-covered orb back.
Geto swallowed it whole. The vile, rag-like taste vanished, replaced by the sticky sweetness of honey. In an instant, the frustration of countless prior attempts melted away. Was all that nausea for nothing?
"How is it?" Shion and Satoru asked in unison.
Geto's face was still flushed. "It… works."
"So why the tears?"
"My heart hurts!" he exclaimed, tears streaking his cheeks. "If I'd known a little honey could make it palatable, why did I endure all that gagging before?!"
Shion and Satoru could barely contain their laughter, holding it back through every tragic memory they could conjure.
"Hahahahaha!"
"Geto, you idiot! Hahahaha!"
Geto just glared, unable to argue. Having friends like these was… a blessing in its own twisted way.

Tokyo Jujutsu High School.
"Reverse Cursed Technique? You want to learn that?" Shoko Ieiri asked, brow raised at Satoru and Suguru.
"Yeah! If I learn it, I can surpass my brother!" Satoru said eagerly, still smarting from always being second to Shion in training.
Geto raised a hand. "I'm curious too. I want to see if I can learn it."
"I see~" Shoko hummed, thinking for a moment. "Alright, I'll explain. As for the Reverse Cursed Technique…" She swirled her fingers in the air, drawing playful circles.
"It's like shoo, then hey, shoo-hey~"
Satoru and Geto stared blankly, as if their brains had short-circuited.
"Don't understand? No talent!" Shoko teased.
Satoru muttered. "…"
Geto muttered. "…"
Shion suddenly appeared between them, hands on their shoulders.
"It's nothing, nothing. Just a little learning session with Shoko. I definitely don't have any evil plans to beat up Satoru after this!" Shion laughed, radiating his usual playful charm.
Tch! Shoko thought, with teaching methods like this, they'd probably wash their hair upside-down before learning anything.
Shion smiled at the thought, then turned to Satoru and Geto.
"Your youth isn't hot-blooded enough, otouto! Come practice taijutsu with me! Geto, you're coming too!"
"Me too?!" Geto exclaimed.
Unable to refuse, the two were dragged along to burn off some energy.
"Let's make a bet. Both of you against me. See if you can beat me!" Shion said, eyes glinting.
"What's the wager?" Satoru asked.
Shion grinned. "Recently, the first floor of the Department Store in Funiao District is hosting a Comic Convention!"
Satoru paled. Memories of his previous cosplay disaster flashed instantly.
Geto frowned, confused. "What do you mean?"
Satoru leaned in, whispering the grim explanation. Geto's eyes widened in horror. "No way… total social death! This would be a stain on my life forever!"
Shion, undeterred, pulled out the special-grade cursed tool, yūun.
"Geto, if you two win, this goes to you!"
Geto's expression shifted immediately. He had wanted yūun for a long time, and now victory seemed within reach.
"Really?! Don't regret it!" he said eagerly.
"Even though Shion's taijutsu is strong, together we might stand a chance!" Satoru nodded.
"You've already cosplayed as a maid catgirl," Shion teased, "what's one more time?"
"And if we win… don't you want to see Shion in a female cosplay?"
Satoru's energy skyrocketed at that. "Yeah! Let's get him!"

"Shinbu Style: Cloud-Piercing Spear Hand!"
"Shinbu Style: Falling Leaves!"
"Secret Art: Rapid Punch Barrage!"
Three figures launched simultaneously, fists colliding, bodies moving in perfect chaotic sync.
Shion's taijutsu was strongest at first, easily suppressing Satoru and Geto. Yet as the fight wore on, the pair's coordination improved, eventually bringing the battle to a draw.
Satoru's recent promotion from Mokuroku to Kaiden was visible in his movements, precise and calculated.
Shion spotted an opening in Satoru's attack, lunging to lock his brother's arm. Satoru, realizing he might lose, abandoned defense and wrapped his arms around Shion's waist.
"Geto! Take the opening!"
Geto struck at the back of Shion's head. Shion, relying on his blind-spot-free Rikugan, spotted it instantly and ducked, grabbing Geto's pant leg and pulling him off balance.
BAM!
All three tumbled into a heap, bodies entangled on the ground. Locked in this deadlock, none could move.
"In this situation… I've won, right?" Shion said smugly.
"Who says? You're trapped too!"
"Pointless. Let's just let go at the same time."
"Fine. One, two, three!"
"…You two bastards! I knew you wouldn't let go!"
"Urusai! You're the same!"
"I saw your true colors early! Don't tickle my feet!"
Shoko, bored, yawned and approached.
"How's the battle going for those three idiots?"
Her cheeks flushed as she froze at the sight: Shion, Satoru, and Geto tangled in a heap, their posture oddly suggestive, almost philosophical in its absurdity.
"Sorry, sorry! Bad timing, please continue!" Shoko hurriedly backed out, hiding her embarrassment.
