On the busy street, passersby noticed three striking young men suddenly walking by and briefly considered taking a photo. But as soon as they saw how awkwardly the trio walked, all thought better of it.
At the front, Suguru Geto strolled with his hands in his pockets, back slightly bent as if he had a herniated disc. Directly behind him, Satoru Gojo swayed while drinking out of a canned beverage, posture looking like he might need chiropractic help. Bringing up the rear was Shion Gojo, even stranger in motion, cradling the back of his head with both hands while gazing up at the sky, walking backward like he was trying to prove a point.
"By the way," Satoru said, tossing the empty can into a bin, "I get why Q, that Curse User organization, would want to assassinate the Star Plasma Vessel, but why is the Star Plasma Cult trying to do it as well? Don't they worship Tengen?"
Geto sighed, "Those extremists in the cult worship a so-called pure Lord Tengen. To them, merging with a Star Plasma Vessel is a defilement of what they believe pure Tengen should be."
"Huh? So since Tengen merged before, that old hag isn't pure anymore, right?" Satoru asked with a shrug.
"Satoru, show some respect," Geto muttered.
"I know, I know~"
Geto continued, "If you ask me, we should just wipe out all these groups."
"That's going too far, Satoru."
"What do you mean? If they block my path, it's not without cause!"
Geto shook his head, "Many in the Star Plasma Cult are non-sorcerers. For a sorcerer to massacre non-sorcerers without reason is a serious crime."
Shion snorted, "If they actually stood in my way."
"Anyway," Satoru continued thoughtfully, "what was that Star Plasma Vessel's name… Riko Amanai?"
"Yeah, she's a middle school student," Geto replied quietly.
"To be burdened with this mission so young… she's a really pitiful person," Satoru said with unusual seriousness.
"The order from above says we have to satisfy all the target's requests before assimilation."
"Tch."
Shion and Satoru spat in unison. "Those old geezers, and that ancient Tengen — doing something so shameless yet hiding behind humble formalities. Disgusting!"
Geto of all people didn't even bother reminding them to watch their words.
By the time they were done talking, the three had reached the designated location.
"Rock, paper, scissors!" Geto declared, holding up scissors with a grin.
"Looks like I go first. But with how nasty you two brothers' personalities are, it probably suits me more anyway!" Geto laughed as Satoru and Shion protested.
"Stop talking nonsense!" they shouted at the same time.
"Same to you!" Geto replied before entering the elevator to the target floor, keeping in phone contact with Satoru.
As soon as Geto stepped off and pushed open the hotel room door where the Star Plasma Vessel was supposed to be located, dazzling flames erupted before his eyes.
BOOM —
Satoru and Shion watched the building explode behind them without needing a second thought, knowing exactly which floor Geto was on.
"Still alive?" Satoru's flat voice came through the phone.
"I'm still alive. After all, the debt for yūun hasn't been paid off yet!" Geto replied calmly.
"Where's the Star Plasma Vessel?"
"There!" Geto said, pointing off in the distance.
Under the perspective of the Rikugan, a young girl was seen plummeting from a great height.
Without hesitation, Geto summoned three squid-like cursed spirits, shattered a window, and dove after her.
From the smoke-filled room staggered a man wearing a white uniform — a Q Organization combatant named Kokun.
"Don't blame me, blame Tengen!" he muttered.
Just then, Kokun saw Geto emerging on the back of a flying manta-ray cursed spirit, cradling the young girl — the Star Plasma Vessel.
Looking at the destroyed floor and the chaos around him, Kokun appeared more bewildered than angry.
"Please don't make a scene. I was just scolded this morning!" Geto said absently as he checked on the unconscious girl.
He looked down at her quietly. So young, full of life, and now caught in a cruel situation dictated by the jujutsu world's politics. Geto felt conflicted inside.
Suddenly, Kokun snapped him out of his thoughts with a threat. "Hand over that girl, or I'll kill you!"
Geto raised an eyebrow, a mischievous smile spreading across his face.
"Sorry, I couldn't hear you. Can you repeat that closer?" he teased.
Meanwhile, Satoru and Shion encountered another confrontation.
Countless sharp throwing knives flew towards their backs but stalled about twenty centimeters away from them, as if hitting an invisible barrier.
Beyond the fence, a masked man in a white uniform clapped casually, his eyes shining with confidence. This was Bayer, another Q Organization combatant.
"Are you the rumored Six Eyes twins of the Gojo Family? Not bad, not bad. I've heard you're strong — let's see if it's true," he said with a smirk.
Shion tilted his head in mild amusement. "Who are you talking to?"
Bayer grinned. "Doesn't matter. Both of you, come at me together!"
Shion and Satoru glanced at each other.
"Has he always been this brave?"
"I don't know him, why are you asking me?!" Satoru teased back.
---
At the same time, Geto had already wrapped things up on his end with minimal effort.
He poured himself a cup of coffee, added a sugar cube, and sat down on a couch as though nothing had happened. The room around him looked like a disaster zone, but he sipped leisurely, utterly calm.
Near him lay the Star Plasma Vessel and her maid, Misato Kuroi, both still unconscious.
"Give me a kiss… come on, give me a kiss…" Geto's summoned Cursed Spirit, a pile of deformed heads called Fungus, wrapped Kokun tightly while the grotesque lips on its top inched toward his face.
Kokun nearly broke down, begging and pleading. "I was wrong! I won't be a Curse User anymore! I'll quit Q! I'll just go home and farm!"
Geto ignored him entirely and took another sip of coffee.
Kokun's face twisted in panic as he roared, "You damn brat! I advise you to be smart — Bayer is coming. He's the strongest combatant in the Q Organization!"
Just then, Geto checked his phone. "Is this the Bayer you mean?"
On the screen was a photo of two white-haired boys grinning, with another man collapsed behind them.
"…Yeah, that's definitely him," Kokun muttered in despair.
---
Not far away, in another building overlooking the smoke and ruin from the explosion, Kong Shiu stood, expression cold.
"Has it already started?" he asked quietly.
Beside him, a burly man with a scar at the corner of his mouth grinned in response, his presence fierce and domineering.
"Let those small fry wear themselves out first," he said, "and even with two pairs of Six Eyes there, they won't succeed."
Kong Shiu paused, then asked, "Even you can't do it?"
The man's face flickered as memories of a snowy day long ago surfaced, a battle where two glittering pairs of eyes had found him instantly no matter how stealthily he approached.
He let out a slow smile and murmured, "Who knows…"
