Chapter 67 - 67: Challenging Infinity

"This is a weather report. The super typhoon Haikui is moving north from the Pacific coast and is expected to pass through Kyushu Island."

"According to meteorological estimates, the storm has reached an extreme classification and may be accompanied by a large-scale tsunami."

"A red alert has been issued for coastal regions of Kyushu Island. Citizens are advised to evacuate as necessary. Disaster response units are on standby."

"Kyushu Island…"

Ieiri Shoko stared at the television screen, unconsciously biting her thumbnail. After a moment, she sighed and rubbed her temples as a dull headache formed.

"Forget it," she muttered. "That idiot is absurdly strong. He will be fine."

---

Standing alone before the raging sea, Gojo Shion finally understood.

"So this is where your confidence comes from," he said lightly. "Dagon."

Storm clouds stretched endlessly across the horizon as the typhoon closed in on Kyushu Island. Towering waves surged beneath the sky, lightning split the darkness, and thunder rolled without pause. The sun was completely swallowed by thick clouds, violent winds screamed through the air, and the ocean rose as if trying to devour the heavens themselves.

It looked like the end of the world.

Dagon laughed wildly. The sea responded to his excitement, growing even more violent.

Born from humanity's fear and hatred of the ocean, Dagon was a Cursed Spirit shaped by disaster itself. As the typhoon advanced, the panic and despair of tens of millions of people on Kyushu Island surged to unimaginable levels.

Their fear became fuel.

Cursed Energy poured toward Dagon in an endless stream.

His body swelled grotesquely, expanding until he stood hundreds of meters tall. A humanoid torso crowned with an octopus-like head, twisted limbs wrapped in writhing tentacles, and massive bat-like wings stretched from his back. His crimson skin glistened beneath the storm, his appearance resembling something pulled straight from humanity's oldest nightmares.

Dagon looked down at Gojo Shion, confidence overflowing.

"Gojo Shion," he roared. "This is the power I prepared for you."

Without responding, Gojo raised his hand and fired Red.

The compressed mass of cursed energy slammed into Dagon's body, yet Dagon caught it with both hands and crushed it midair.

Boom!

The explosion forced him back several steps, smoke curling from his scorched palms. Still, he had blocked the attack directly.

On his own territory, empowered by a natural disaster and amplified by the terror of millions, Dagon's strength now clearly surpassed Jogo's. Among the disaster spirits, he stood at the peak.

"This will be your grave," Dagon declared.

His wings beat violently, generating crushing wind pressure that sent hundred-meter waves crashing upward as his massive body lifted into the air. Rising into the eye of the storm, Dagon released all the cursed energy he had accumulated.

"This is my final technique."

"Gojo Shion," he bellowed, "you and the humans behind you will die today."

Chanting in an ancient, distorted voice, Dagon twisted the typhoon itself. Wind speeds spiked unnaturally, seawater was torn from the ocean and dragged into the sky, forming colossal waterspouts that merged with the storm.

His voice echoed like something ancient and merciless, carrying the full wrath of the sea.

"Abyssal Zenith!"

The wind screamed, converging into a deafening roar reminiscent of a primeval beast. The cursed technique fused with the typhoon, multiplying its destructive power several times over.

If it reached land, Kyushu Island would be erased.

Before that overwhelming storm, Gojo Shion stood alone, a single figure against a disaster vast enough to swallow nations.

Even for him, the sight was enough to make his blood stir.

Excitement surged through his body, long-dormant battle instincts awakening with a grin.

He looked up, eyes shining with exhilaration.

"It has been way too long," he laughed.

No battle before this had carried true killing intent. Not even his fights alongside Geto Suguru had pushed him like this. Only now, facing an enemy who genuinely sought his death with power to match, did Gojo feel alive.

"Good," he said sincerely. "Very good."

The praise only drove Dagon deeper into madness as he poured out cursed energy without restraint.

"Die!"

Gojo laughed, utterly satisfied.

"You surprised me, Dagon. I will give you that."

"But this still is not enough."

His cursed energy erupted, space itself warping under the pressure.

"Have you ever seen me at my peak?"

Gojo spread his arms.

"Cursed Technique Lapse, Blue."

Clusters of blue spheres formed behind his left side.

"Cursed Technique Reversal, Red."

Scarlet orbs gathered behind his right.

Slowly, deliberately, he brought his hands together, madness and delight flickering in his eyes.

"I have never used this properly in combat," he admitted. "I might even get caught in it myself."

"Ready?"

Blue and Red merged in perfect synchronization.

"Hollow Technique," Gojo whispered. "Purple."

---

At Tokyo Jujutsu High, inside the operations room, the Higher-Ups monitored the situation in silence.

The doors suddenly burst open.

Ieiri Shoko rushed in.

Before anyone could reprimand her, she snapped, "Show them."

"Nitta Akira, satellite feed. Now."

"Yes."

The screen lit up.

The moment the image stabilized, everyone froze.

The typhoon had collapsed to a fraction of its size, yet its wind speed had multiplied several times over. Then, defying every known law of meteorology, it changed direction and charged straight toward Kyushu Island.

And then it happened.

Countless massive purple distortions slammed into the storm.

The ocean exploded. The sky fractured.

Even through a screen, the devastation was overwhelming.

"Is that… one of the head of the Gojo clan?"

"This is divine."

The elders of the Gojo Family trembled, their hands clenched against their legs as smiles crept across their faces.

"A god truly walks among us."
