The moderate apartment where both Lily and Seig lived was quiet in the early morning light. Seig shot out of bed, blinking at the clock. Crap, he was thirty minutes late for school. Without hesitation, he grabbed four sizzling sausages from the table Lily left for him before she left for work, devouring them in seconds, and chased them down with a gulp of cold milk.
"Big sis cooking is delicious as always thanks for the food "He quickly threw on his usual outfit— a white shirt with black trim on the neck and sleeves, paired with black cargo pants that were too loose around the legs. He looped a black jacket around his waist and slid into his red boots.
Seig rushed to the sink, splashing water on his face. His eyes—bright emerald green—reflected his fiery determination. His hair was a mess, but that was nothing new. He wiped his face, giving the mirror a cocky smirk as his shiny badge gleamed from his chest.
"Let's go!" Seig shouted to no one but himself, clenching his fists. "The journey to become the King of Knights starts today!" His words echoed, full of fire and excitement.
He dashed out the door, running full speed to the academy, where the Rank 3 Magic Knights were about to be assigned their teams.
Just as he rounded the corner, he slammed into someone—BAM!
"Ow!" Seig rubbed his head, wincing in pain.
"Sorry!" a soft voice squeaked.
He looked up to see Miki standing in front of him, her purple bob haircut messy from the collision. The hoodie she had been wearing had slipped off, revealing the sharp contrast between the right side of her face, where her purple eyes met a perfectly styled fringe. Miki was blushing hard, her soft features giving off a shy, kind-hearted vibe.
"Hey, watch where you're going!" Seig complained, though there was no real heat behind his words. "Are you okay?"
(Miki Senji 12 years old she's one of the most prestigious family member of the Senji family which focus on healing and her family is a great valuable asset that's been supporting the kingdom all over the years she graduated from the same academy as Seig and is also a Rank 3 magic knight)
Miki quickly nodded, her cheeks still flushed. "It's my fault. You don't have to apologize." She reached down and gently took Seig's hand, casting a healing spell over the small bruise on his forehead.
Seig blinked in surprise as the pain vanished. "Wow, I feel so much better. Thanks, Miki." He smiled, slightly embarrassed.
Miki stammered, her voice quiet. "It... it was nothing. I just... helped a friend."
Before Seig could respond, he glanced at the clock and cursed under his breath. "Oh no, we're going to be late for class!" He turned to Miki, his face cheerful. "See you in class, Miki!" Without another word, he sprinted off, his legs pumping like a machine.
Miki smiled back at him shyly "see you in class Seig.
At the academy's outdoor assembly, Seig found a seat next to Athuria, the class's crown jewel. She was a quiet, elegant figure who seemed completely out of place in the hustle of the academy's noisy grounds. Miki took her seat behind them, eyes shyly glancing at Seig every now and then.
The rest of the class was all too familiar with Athuria's beauty and grace, especially the boys. Finral Roulcase, the class's resident flirt, made a beeline for her, only to be stopped dead in his tracks when a sharp icicle shot through the air, narrowly missing his throat. He froze in shock, dropping his attempt at conversation, while Athuria didn't even bat an eyelash.
"Man, she's scary..." Finral mumbled, sitting down.
Choji Oni, the chubby kid, was too busy munching on potato chips to notice anything. Meanwhile, Nara Namikaze, the quiet strategist, let out a loud sigh. "What a drag..." He barely looked up from his spot.
Kawaki Senji, Miki's older brother, stood off to the side, analyzing the class with sharp eyes, his posture relaxed but alert.
Luna Hoshino, the class's stylish, confident socialite, was texting away on her phone, while Grey Fullbuster, the quiet, creepy guy who had a penchant for talking to bugs, muttered to himself in a corner.
Finally, there was Levi—quiet, intense, and doing push-ups at the front of the class. And sitting on a tree branch with a calm smile was Bao Yu, the chill girl who was humming along to music with her headphones on, flipping a yoyo in perfect rhythm.
And then there was the new transfer student from an unknown land Hinata. The whole class mostly the boys we're just gazing at Athuria as she entered, but Seig's eyes narrowed. What's so special about her? He thought bitterly. Every class, it's always about Athuria. What's the big deal?
Before he could stew further, Seig impulsively jumped onto the desk, crossing his arms and staring at Athuria from above. "What's up with you?" he demanded. "You think you're all that, huh?"
Athuria's icy blue eyes locked with his, unamused. "Do you have a problem, Seig?"
Before Seig could retort, Choji, reaching for more chips, accidentally nudged him. Seig slipped—right into Athuria, his lips landing on hers by pure accident.
Both of them pulled back in disgust, coughing and wiping their mouths. Gross!
"Ugh!" Seig yelled, wiping his lips. "This is your fault, Choji!"
"Ow, sorry!" Choji grinned sheepishly, his mouth full of chips.
But before a full-blown argument could erupt, Mrs. Lily stepped into the classroom, her voice cutting through the tension. "Enough, class. Settle down."
The room quieted as Mrs. Lily moved to the front. She gave them all a smile before announcing, "I'm assigning your teams. You'll each be assigned to a Rank 1 Magic Knight as your Sensei, so I hope you all cooperate."
She began calling out names. "Nara Okotsu, Choji Oni, and Luna Hoshino, you're Team 3. Hinata, Finral Roulcase, and Grey Fullbuster, you're Team 5. Levi, Bao Yu, and Kawaki Senji, you're Team 11. And finally, Miki, Seig, and Athuria—you three will be Team 7."
Seig groaned internally. This is going to be a nightmare. He leaned back in his seat, muttering, "This is so unfair. Miki's cool, but how am I supposed to work with ... her?" He shot death glares at Athuria
Athuria shot him a glare, her voice icy. "Just don't slow me down, loser."
Seig narrowed his eyes, ready for a retort, but Mrs. Lily interrupted. "Seig Pendragon, if you don't sit down and stop complaining right now, there's no dinner for you when we get home."
Seig winced, sinking into his seat. "Fine, whatever."
"Is that all you have to say for yourself, young man?" Mrs. Lily raised an eyebrow, her hands on her hips.
Seig sighed. "I'm sorry, Big Sis..."
Athuria huffed, clearly unimpressed. "Just stay out of my way."
Lily clapped her hands, signaling the end of the meeting. "Alright, everyone dismissed i wish you kids the best of luck.
