Chapter 14 - Suguru Geto

~ Seiji POV ~

It's been a few months since my first solo exorcism, not much has changed really. I continued making leaps in my training, sparring with Maki every morning, and as promised started to let Ai out more so the others could get used to her.

Speaking of my training, Gojo said that in terms of CE efficiency, there wasn't much else to teach other than to keep refining it. I learned all I could with my CT though I was still determined to break down the ins and outs of it to see if there was more I could do with it.

Then there's Ai, her technique was in simple terms broken… Other than the first two extension techniques, there were three other extensions, two of them were way too destructive and broken to use outside of actual battle.

The two things I'm focusing on now are, Reverse Cursed Technique and Barrier techniques. While Barrier techniques came easier to me, RCT was a bit more difficult. Every time I tried, I would get close only for it to slip away.

However I feel that if I keep training I'll be able to get it in a few weeks to a month.

"You alright there Seiji? You look lost in thought? Are you finally planning on asking Maki out?" Panda asked teasingly, causing me to chuckle and him to get a foot to his butt making him stumble a bit.

"Nah, though I don't think Maki's ready for all this~." I decided to join in on the fun.

Maki glared at me after she had finished pinning down Panda, "You wanna be next?" She asked though there was a certain way she said and looked that made it almost seem like she wanted me to agree to get beat up by her.

I raised my hand in mock surrender, "Nope, I don't feel like getting my ass beat right now." I said and she clicked her teeth causing me to sweat drop.

'She really wanted me to agree, huh?'

Then I looked up at the sky, it wasn't snowing yet but the cold wind hitting my skin felt sooo good.

"You love the cold, don't you Seiji?" Yuta asked beside me as we walked.

"Hehe, is it that obvious?" I chuckled. He was right, winter and fall were my two favorite seasons due to the fact that it gets cold so I was outside more often then not.

"Yeah, you've been going out a lot more when the weather started to turn cold." He said but then he tensed up a bit. Yuta began looking around almost as if expecting for something to happen, making me raise an eyebrow.

"You good? You've been looking around like someone's out to get you?" I asked.

"Maybe it's my imagination but I'm getting a bad feeling." He said, still looking around.

"Yeah, it's just your imagination." Maki said from her spot, she still had Panda pinned under her.

"Yeah for sure, after all your awareness of Cursed energy is whack." Panda said from his pinned position.

"Fish flakes." Toge chimed in.

"Wait, but guys…" Yuta whined, and while they were bantering I only now remembered that this was the time when Geto showed up.

"Hm?!" Then that's when I felt it, cursed energy, multiple sources. I looked up to where I felt the cursed energy signatures. A man was standing atop a very large pelican, he had the largest signature, while the other signatures were inside the pelican's mouth.

"While Yuta's awareness is indeed dog shit, his instincts are sharp. We got company." I said and immediately the experienced ones were on guard.

Maki unsheathed Rivers of Blood, I had been letting her use it the past few days. Inumaki lowered his collar revealing his snake eyes and fangs, and panda equipped his knuckle dusters while cracking his knuckles, how? I don't know.

Soon, the man and pelican landed. The pelican opened its mouth and people began climbing out, two girls our age and a middle aged…drag queen? While the man, known in the manga as Suguru Geto began looking around the school in nostalgia.

"Still the same as ever." I heard Geto say.

"Whoa, Master Geto, is this Tokyo?! So country!" Said one of the girls with blonde hair wearing a school uniform, I didn't know the name of this girl, not because I forgot but because ultimately she served no purpose in the manga so I didn't pay much attention to the two girls.

"Nanako, that was rude." Said the other girl, she had a black hair styled in a bob cut and she too was wearing a school uniform, she was also holding a stuffed…creature.

I do remember them being twins though.

"Hurry up and get down! Aren't you cold?" Said the other guy, I did remember him though, because of him Yuji Itadori had managed to awaken, he was Larue.

"Who… are they…?" Yuta asked and I guess he was loud enough to draw attention because the two girls finally noticed us and immediately began taking pictures of Panda.

"WOW!! IT'S A PANDA SO CUUUUTE!" Said Nanako, the blonde haired girl as she took pictures.

"Who are you? Mr. Yuta won't forgive any intruders!" Panda shouted to the newly arrived group.

"Kelp!!" Toge nodded going along with Panda's joke.

"W-Wait WHAT?!" Yuta looked stunned and embarrassed.

However his embarrassment wasn't done yet because not only did Maki join in, but I did as well. "Yeah, get out before Mr. Yuta knocks ya out!" Maki exclaimed.

"MAKI!" Yuta shouted in shock.

"Exactly! You probably don't know but this guy has even beat Satoru Gojo recently so you don't wanna mess with him!" I said gassing up Yuta even more.

"SEIJI! Why are you joining in!"

I just chuckled, "It's fine isn't it? Besides, we're all jok- !!!!"

I was immediately on alert and drew out Magatsumi, not even bothering to take it out of its sheath and I swung.

There was the sound of a clap and Magatsumi was caught in between the hands of Suguru Geto.

"Seiji!!" My friends exclaimed after they finally managed to see what had happened in that short time, they immediately brandished their weapons intending to back me up if needed.

"Master Geto!!" The group Geto came with, all exclaimed. They too looked ready for a fight.

But we weren't listening. The only thing that mattered to the both of us right now is each other.

"…That's quite rude, you know." He said with a strained smile, one I returned.

"You have some nerve talking about rudeness. Not only did you infiltrate our school, but you also invaded our personal space." Although I said that my mind was focused on something completely different.

'He's fast! I barely managed to react in time…'

Geto was quiet for a few seconds before he let Magatsumi go and stepped back a little. "You're right, I would like to apologize for that."

I raised an eyebrow, he backed off that easily? Just what is he thinking?

~ Narrator POV ~

Suguru Geto, a man that once believed that if you were strong, you had a duty to protect the weak. However after his failure to protect Riko Amanai and his defeat by Toji Fushiguro, something fundamental began changing in him. He began questioning his own beliefs.

It wasn't until his conversation with Yuki Tsukumo that Suguru Geto finally made his decision, a decision that would change everything and eventually made him a criminal with the title of "The Worse Curse User."

On a mission following that incident, Suguru finds two young girls being mistreated by non-sorcerers for having curse-related abilities. Suguru finally made the decision at that moment, that made him a criminal and gave him that title.

He rescued the two girls, Mimiko and Nanako Hasaba, and killed all one hundred and twelve residents of the village.

Over the next few years Geto gathered other non-affiliated sorcerers people he called family. He and his "family" would exploit non-sorcerers for either money or the cursed spirits that would haunt them for Geto's arsenal.

It was after gaining that Geto heard about two new students at Jujutsu high, both with vengeful spirits bound to them. But his attention was mostly in Rika, the vengeful spirit with boundless cursed energy.

When he finally set his plan to eradicate all non-sorcerers he decided on first getting rid of the cornerstone of the Jujutsu world, Jujutsu High.

He and a few others made their way to Jujutsu High with the intention of "befriending" Yuta Okkotsu, gaining his trust before killing him and having Geto use his Curse Spirit Manipulation to take Rika. However, before Geto could interact with Yuta he was interrupted by the other student, Seiji.

Geto looked at the palms of his hand, and in both his palms were two small shallow cuts, then he looked at Seiji and the still sheathed Katana still in his hand.

'So this is Fujiwara Seiji…He's as impressive as the rumors make him out to be. Despite only being in the Jujutsu world for a few months and he's already at this level?' Geto thought as he stared at Seiji, it was then that the silhouette of a teenage Gojo appeared behind him.

He chuckled, "You're right, I would like to apologize for that." He raised his hand as a gesture of peace.

Seiji raised an eyebrow, but his shoulders were still tense, ready to attack at any given moment. "Right… So who are you, and why are you here?" He asked.

As he asked this the other students stepped up, stopping just a step behind him.

"I just wanted to meet the two new students I've been hearing so much about." Geto paused a friendly smile on his face as he looked at Seiji and Yuta, "And those rumors weren't wrong. You both have quite the fantastic power."

The others looked at Geto confusedly, his whole attitude and demeanor was weird.

Geto ignored the others and continued to keep his eyes on Seiji and Yuta, "I think great power should be used for great endeavors." Then he looked directly at Yuta, knowing his history and background.

"Don't you see anything wrong with the world today? Jujutsu Sorcerers are forced to work in the shadows to protect society. You see, it's a paradox in which the strong must submit to the weak. It's deplorable!"

"…Right…" Yuta said but gave Seiji this side eye as if asking what this guy was talking about only for Seiji to shrug.

Geto continued, "Humanity has hindered their own evolution. Such utter non-sense! It's about time we take another look at humanity's survival. So I'd like your help." He looked at both Seiji and Yuta.

"And how exactly are Yuta and I supposed to help with this 'evolution' you speak of?" Seiji asked and Geto gained this grin that unsettled them all, even Seiji.

"Killing all non-sorcerers and realizing a world with only Jujutsu Sorcerers!!" He announced.

"!!!" His answer shocked them all. 'What the hell is he talking about?' They all thought.

Seiji knew about his plan, but still the absurdity of it always made him a little shocked. Geto's plan sounds reasonable on the surface but there was a problem that he also seemed to overlook. The Jujutsu world was just as, if not more shit than "non-sorcerers" world.

"Now, now, don't go spouting crazy talk to my students." Satoru Gojo had finally arrived, alongside him was principal Yaga and two other sorcerers.

Geto turned back and smiled a real smile, "Satoru! It's been a while."

Gojo didn't return the smile, nor did he return the greeting, "Step away from them, Suguru." This was the first time Seiji saw Satoru not wearing that carefree smile he always seemed to have.

Geto didn't step away, he continued smiling. "I heard about the exceptional first-years, so they're under your care."

He looked at Seiji and Yuta, "Two special grade cursed humans."

Then he looked at Panda, "An abrupt-mutation cursed corpse."

He turned to Toge, "A cursed speech user descendant.

He paused, his grin turned malicious, "And the Zenin family failure."

Maki's face scrunched up in anger, "Why you-" She was interrupted by Geto.

"Careful about what you say next. I don't need a monkey like you in my world." He said glaring down at Maki.

Yuta looked angry as Maki, someone he sees as a friend, was insulted directly in front of him, he was going to go off on Geto before Seiji stopped him.

Seiji looked at Geto, "Sorry, but we're gonna have to pass up on that offer." Although the tone he used was calm there was an underlying anger.

After spending a few months sparring every morning and talking with Maki he could no longer see her as a "character from a manga", he truly saw her as a friend. And to see his friend be insulted in front of him while the person who insulted her was asking for his help, pissed him off.

Gojo suddenly appeared in between the two making Seiji flinch a little while Geto just smirked at him.

"Well, you heard him, he declined your offer… but I can tell, you were expecting that weren't you? So why did you come here?" Gojo asked.

Geto's smirk grew at that question, "To declare war. Listen up! THIS DECEMBER 24! AT SUNDOWN! THE NIGHT PARADE OF A HUNDRED DEMONS WILL COMMENCE!"

"This will take place at the crucible for curses…Shinjuki Station in Tokyo! And at Jujutsu's sacred land Kyoto! I will release a thousand curses at each location. Of course, they'll be issued orders to massacre. If you want to avoid this impending hell, put your lives on the line and fight! Let's curse each other to our hearts' content!" He declared.

After he finished speaking the atmosphere grew tense, the Jujutsu sorcerers looked ready to attack at that moment only for the tension to be cut through by Nanako, the blonde girl that came with Geto.

"AHHH! Master Geto, the store's about to close!"

Geto made a irratated face, "Going somewhere with so many monkeys what's the- sorry Satoru. The girls want to try the crepe shop on Takeshita so I'll be on my way." He said as he bagen walking towards the pelican.

"You really think you're leaving so easily?" Gojo raised his hand ready to fire off a blue to stop Geto.

"Don't try it." only for Geto to summon multiple cursed spirit ranging from Grade threes through Grade ones and a single special grade.

"Ai." Seiji whispered and behind him emerged Ai, a similar Katana appearing in her hands.

Geto saw this and smiled, his eyes lingering on Ai for a moment longer, "A vengeful spirit that retained their appearance as a human, how odd." Then he looked at Seiji one last time a mysterious smile appeared on his face before he turned back to Gojo.

"That boy reminds me a lot of you Satoru… Well then everyone see you on December 24th." Geto waved and with that he along with the others, left, along with the cursed spirits he summoned.

In a room were Gojo, principal Yaga and other higher ups discussing Suguru Geto and his declaration of war.

"Suguru Geto. A special Grade curse user who possesses the curse manipulatation technique. He recruits vagabond curses and controls them. He has ammased a huge number of curses, by using his reliigroul as a lure. That's in addition to the curses he already possessed. Two thousand may not be a bluff. " Ichiji explained.

"Even so, most of em' are probably grade 2 or less. The number of Jujutsu Sorcerers is about 50, tops." Yaga chimed in.

"That's the scary part. It's hard to imagine him starting a war he can't win." Gojo said, having known Geto the best since they were best friends.

"Damn it! Alright, all sorcerers, the big three families, we'll also ask the ainu Jujutsu Society for help! It's an all-out warfare! And this time we exorcise the curse known as Sugury Geto!"

~

It was the next day and the sounds of two bokkens were clashing in to eachother and it was as usual Maki and Seiji were sparring on the training grounds.

"Why are we even here? School's closed for the week, remember?" Seiji complained as he deflected another strike from Maki, she was a little more aggressive today.

"Thats doesn't mean you can slack off on training, especially now." Maki exclaimed with a thrust this time Seiji parried the blow and struck her shoulder with an over head blow.

"Alright, break time." Seiji said before walking to the water bottles and towels sitting aside for the both of the, Maki followed quietly.

As they sat wiping off their sweat Maki finally spoke, "Why're you not asking?" She asked looking up at the sky.

Seiji swallowed his water before following her gaze in the sky, "Are you willing to tell me?" He asked already knowing what she was talking about. Then he spotted a cloud that looked like a pair of breast.

"You knkw about the Zenin family, one of the big three Jujutsu Families?"

"Mhm." Seiji nodded still looking at the breast shaped cloud.

"The minimal requirement for being a Jujutsu sorcerer is that you have to be able to see curses." She said and took of her glasses.

"So that's why you wear glasses?" Seiji asked suddenly surprising her a bit before she let put a small laugh.

"Of coursed you noticed, but yeah. Sometimes civilian can see curses in certain situations like life and death. Withou these lame glasses, I can't see curses." She said softly looking at her glasses before putting them back on.

"If it makes you feel any better, I think those glasses look good on you." Seiji complimented.

"Whatever." Maki rolled her eyes but there was just a smidge of pink dusted her cheeks.

"So why'd you leave?" Seiji asked.

Maki was quiet for a moment before she spoke, "Because I hate the Zenin family. The food was horrendous, the rooms were small, and a bunch of weird old guys walking around. It was the worst!"

Seiji let out a short laugh.

"Then why become a sorcerer? from everything you just told me, theres in no benefit to becoming a Jujutsu sorcerer." He asked.

"Because I got a bad personality. I wanna become a grade 1 sorcerer to stick it to the Zenin. I plan to turn everything upside down." When she said that she had the most genuine smile Seiji has probably ever seen from her.

"Yeah the bad personality part is spot on." Seiji said teasingly, making Maki's eyebrow twitch in irritation.

"Wanna run that by me again, you punk?"

Seiji laughed nervously while raising his hands in surrender, he was just trying to make the break longer by having this conversation.

Then Seiji looked back at the sky. He smiled slightly, Maki was confused when she saw it but didn't question it, that's when Seiji spoke up. "I believe in you."

Maki's eyes widened when she heard that. She slowly turned her head to Seiji as he still gazed up at the sky. "Huh?" She asked numbly.

"I believe you'll flip the Zenin clan upside down, I belive you'll even become stronger than a grade-1 sorcerer. You have one of the strongest will's I've ever seen, it's what makes me believe that you'll achieve your goal. If there's anything you need help with though, all you have to do is ask." He said serenely.

Maki continued staring at Seiji's serene face before she slowly got up, confusing and slightly horrifying Seiji that the plan to prolong the break was ruined.

Then Maki walked away, confusing Seiji even more, usually she'd be the one suggesting we spar for a bit longer.

Seiji was about to ask her where she was going before she said, "I'm going back to my dorm."

Seiji blinked in confusion, before humming. He wasn't gonna stop her from walking away from their daily sparring, it gave him more time to train RCT, barrier techniques, and Ai's and his techniques.

Maki, who walked away from the training ground, her face red as she covered her hand with the back of her mouth, "What the hell was that?"
