Scorpion did not joke about things like that, infact he didn't take it as a joke because When Alex sent that message, he was sure had expected a reaction, maybe a tease, maybe silence, maybe one of those annoying replies He specialized in, but what he did not expect was Evidence.
Because he showed up and Alex was left surprised.
The first night, it was subtle. A quiet presence slipping in through the balcony like he always did, the cold night air following him into the room as though it had been invited too. He carried nothing but himself, leaning against the wall with that usual ease, watching Alex like he had all the time in the world and Alex in turn watched him back.
"You are here!" Alex said expecting an equally enthusiastic reply.
