Sara's POV
I looked at Stephanie, the innocence was still there. The rose tinted glass that makes you blind to cracks of reality was familiar. The hope in those eyes was clear. She doesn't know her husband is the mafia lord of this country.
The same loving husband she hopelessly in love has been stained in the blood of people. I stared at the ground across us. The kids that freely enjoy their time. Those kids prolly don't even know freedom yet they have freedom.
I finished my cigarettes while Stephanie tried questioning me further but it was something for her to find out. The cruel reality of people around her. Cliff was not some billionaire heir who will change. Once this hazy fever dream disappears, Cliff will go back to his playboy lifestyle while she gets stuck without escape.
"Do anything but don't have a child with him." I warned before walking out of there. Stephanie had a question but my phone buzzing stopped her from asking any further.
