Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 Misty

Chapter 12 Misty

The two powerful attacks instantly dismantled the Spearow flock's offensive.

"Go, Poke Ball!"

The moment the Shinny Fearow crashed to the ground, Ash threw the red and white ball in his hand.

After a precise hit, a red light pulled the Fearow into the red and white ball. Perhaps because it was knocked out instantly, the red and white ball only swayed symbolically twice before making a "thud" sound.

Ash held up the red and white ball and shouted, "I caught a Pokemon!"

"Pika Pikachu!"

"Kirlia~"

"Ding, detected host completed side mission thirty-seven — capture Fearow, reward: 5000 League Coins, 30 points, Great Ball * 1."

"Not bad!"

It was just a Fearow, Ash didn't expect any great rewards.

"Holy moly, as expected of a Shinny Pokemon, this Fearow knows a ridiculous amount of moves."

Ash was somewhat shocked when he saw Fearow's skill list.

After quickly dealing with the Spearow flock, Ash was about to continue forward when the sky suddenly darkened. The next moment, thunder roared, and heavy rain poured down.

Ash, completely unprepared, was drenched before he could even activate his Aura shield.

....

The heavy rain came quickly and dissipated just as fast.

As the dark clouds dispersed, a rainbow appeared in the sky.

As if sensing something, Ash, Pikachu, and Kirlia all looked up simultaneously.

They saw a special 'Fearow' with special effects flying towards the rainbow.

Ash quickly took out his recorder to film and document it.

This was truly a case of a photographer being secretly filmed by someone with a camera.

After Ho-Oh disappeared, a feather floated down into Ash's hand.

"It's Ho-Oh! Pikachu, Kirlia, in the future, we'll have a good match with that guy!"

"Pika!"

"Kirlia!"

"Alright, let's continue towards Viridian City!"

...

Half an hour later.

Ash turned his head and smiled at the nearby bush, saying, "Little guy, come out. You must be tired after following for so long."

As soon as he finished speaking, a Pidgey with colorful feathers and lively eyes flew out from behind the bush, flapping its wings.

After entering the forest, Ash had kept his Aura detection active. This Pidgey had been following him since he entered.

"Pidgey~" (Human, you are strong. Can I follow you on your journey?)

Pidgey's eyes revealed a strong desire to become stronger.

Along the way, it had seen that yellow-skinned mouse and Kirlia effortlessly defeat any opponent. It wanted to follow Ash. But when Ash captured the evolved form of its arch-nemesis, Spearow, it was a bit worried that Ash would look down on it, so it hadn't shown itself.

"It would be an honor!"

Ash was certain that this was the original form of the Pidgeot released in the original story.

As if afraid Ash would change his mind, Pidgey flashed beside Ash and directly slapped the Luxury Ball at Ash's waist with its wing.

As the Luxury Ball stopped shaking, Ash took the Luxury Ball in his hand and loudly declared, "Alright, I successfully caught Pidgey!"

With the addition of a new partner, Pikachu and Kirlia were also excited, imitating Ash's posture to celebrate.

After a short rest, Ash resumed his journey and soon arrived at a Lake.

Looking at the shimmering Lake before him, Ash pondered for a moment and decided to catch a pleasing Water-type Pokemon here.

Of course, this was definitely not a temporary decision he made because of the Prism Scale that had been gathering dust for years. All of this was for the Gym Challenge and the final Alliance Conference.

After setting his small goal, Ash eagerly walked along the Lake, choosing a suitable fishing spot.

With his master-level fishing skills, Ash quickly located the best fishing spot. However, next to this spot was an orange-haired girl, holding a fishing rod and looking dejected, which clearly fit the image of an angler who had caught nothing.

Ash naturally recognized who this girl was at a glance, but she had not yet recognized him.

Ash slowly walked up to the girl, bowed slightly, and smiled, "Hello, excuse me, may I join you in experiencing the beauty of nature?"

The girl looked up at his words, and with just one glance, she felt a flutter in her heart. At this moment, Misty's thoughts were: "Oh my, a wild Handsome! He's so gentle!"

The current Ash was vastly different from the Ash in the original story. After immersing himself in studies for eleven or twelve years, Ash's demeanor was like a completely different person from the original story. The original was an immature, straightforward idiot, while the current one was gentle and refined, without a trace of childishness. Anyone who saw him would instinctively praise him as Handsome. (Of course, not as Handsome as the readers in front of the screen.)

Then Misty showed an enthusiasm that exceeded Ash's imagination. Ash was only momentarily stunned, and Misty had already set up his fishing spot, just waiting for him to cast his rod and start fishing.

Faced with such enthusiasm, Ash did not act coy. He took out the high-end fishing gear set he had prepared long ago.

"Hello, Handsome, my name is Misty, and I'm from Cerulean City."

"Thank you for the compliment, Misty, you are also very cute. By the way, my name is Ash, and I'm from Pallet Town. I'm currently traveling to become a Pokémon Master."

Seeing the Handsome, Misty seemed to be infatuated, quietly gazing at Ash, not even minding her own fishing rod.

"This must be the dream lover all girls yearn for! Rich, polite, and very Handsome! I really want to go on a spontaneous trip with the Handsome in front of me."

Just like that, Misty completed her self-conquest, and her mind was already planning how to ask Ash to travel with her.

Beside them, Ash baited his hook, swung his right hand, and the slender fishing line drew a graceful arc in the air, gently touching the clear surface of the Lake.

After casting, Ash saw Misty's fishing rod constantly twitching, so he quickly reminded her, "Uh, Misty, you've got a fish. If you don't reel it in soon, your rod will be dragged away."

"Ah!"

Misty exclaimed, then began to wrestle with her catch.

To appear more ladylike, Misty reeled in her rod very carefully, afraid that she might accidentally reveal her true self and scare Ash away.

After some struggle, Misty slowly pulled up her catch. It was a medium-sized Magikarp.

Ash had been holding back his laughter the whole time. He had noticed when the fish took the bait that it was just an ordinary Magikarp, but he had just witnessed Misty's struggle with the Magikarp, which gave him a sense of déjà vu, like watching Misty wrestle with a Gyarados.

Misty, seeing her first catch of the day, also laughed in exasperation. She suppressed her anger and released the Magikarp.

Then she turned to Ash and asked, "Ash, is this your first time fishing?"

"Not really my first time."

Ash had gone fishing a few times in his previous life. Although he always came back empty-handed, he had set up bait, so it counted as fishing. This was indeed Ash's first time fishing in this life; he had obtained this skill through a system lottery.
