Chapter 84 Mewtwo Out of Control
Hearing Ash's words, Giovanni only felt that Ash was looking down on him, so he immediately ordered Mewtwo, "Mewtwo, deal with those three Pokémon."
Mewtwo emitted a powerful Telekinesis that acted upon Pikachu and his companions.
Seeing this, a blue light lit up in Ash's eyes, and an Aura shield enveloped Pikachu and his companions, directly neutralizing Mewtwo's Telekinesis attack.
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt! Zapdos, use Thunder! Cover Charizard! Charizard, use Crunch!"
Pikachu and Zapdos simultaneously launched astonishing lightning attacks that engulfed Mewtwo. At this moment, the lightning unleashed by Pikachu was even more powerful than Zapdos's. Under the cover of the two powerful lightning strikes, Charizard flapped his wings, soared towards Mewtwo, and opened his mouth wide to bite.

Giovanni's expression remained calm as he commanded, "Mewtwo, Stone Edge!"

Seeing this, Ash ordered again, "Charizard, use Crunch again now! Pikachu, jump onto Mewtwo's head and use Thunder!"
Charizard opened his mouth and tore off most of the restraining armor on Mewtwo's chest, greatly diminishing the armor's effect. Pikachu then followed up with a Thunder, and the limiter on Mewtwo's head instantly short-circuited.
With the restraining armor's effect gone, Mewtwo painfully knelt, clutching his head. Scenes of being created by Team Rockets in the New Island laboratory constantly flashed through his mind. At the same time, the name Mew was deeply etched into his mind.
When Team Rockets created him, they instilled in him the idea of being a Mew clone. Throughout the entire experiment, the participating personnel constantly talked about this. Mewtwo had actually developed his own consciousness before he was fully formed.
The moment he developed consciousness, he was no longer a substitute for anyone, but a new, special Pokémon. It was just that he himself was not aware of this.
Team Rockets put restraining armor on him to suppress his thoughts and abilities, all to better control him.

Mewtwo's eyes gradually became cold and emotionless, and the Telekinesis he emitted intensified by another level.
Seeing Mewtwo lose control, Giovanni, with a gloomy face, threw a dark green gym badge to Ash and then angrily left. He knew he had underestimated Ash's ability the moment Mewtwo lost control of this battle.
Mewtwo didn't pursue Giovanni's departure. He only wanted to find Mew and have a showdown with him, to see who was the substitute, and then establish a nation ruled by Pokémon, free from human enslavement.
He glanced at Ash, then broke through and quickly left.
Seeing Mewtwo fly away, Ash said to Pikachu and his companions, "Pikachu, let's chase!"
With that, he also lifted both feet into the air and flew onto Charizard's back, chasing in the direction Mewtwo left, under the astonished gazes of Misty and the other two.
"You're kidding, right? How can Ash fly?" Gary pulled at his spiky hair and exclaimed in disbelief.
He wanted to report Ash for cheating!
This guy wasn't even human; how could anyone fly?
"Ash is going further and further down the inhuman path," Brock muttered.
"Now isn't the time to be amazed! That Pokémon called Mewtwo is not something a human can deal with. Ash will be in danger if he follows rashly!" Misty said anxiously.
Boom!
Just as the three of them were wondering what to do, another hole was blasted in the roof, and then a Dragonite slowly descended from above. A red-haired cloaked man jumped down from Dragonite.
The man stood with his back to the three and shouted into the Gym, "Giovanni, come out and surrender! All your subordinates have been apprehended!"
"Giovanni..."
"Is that?!"
Misty and Brock looked at the man's figure and felt a sense of familiarity.
"Oh dear, Flying Elite Four Lance, you're too late! Giovanni just escaped!" Gary reminded, covering his face.
"Is he Elite Lance, one of the Elite Four?" Misty looked at Brock in disbelief.
"Judging by the hairstyle and that Dragonite, it seems so," Brock said, also somewhat uncertain.
Logically speaking, both of them were Gym Leaders by origin and should know the regional Elite Four. But Misty and Brock were not officially appointed Gym Leaders. Brock temporarily filled in after Flint left and also had to take care of his younger siblings daily. Misty became a Trainer who wanted to experience the world because she couldn't bear to see her three older sisters ruin the Gym's reputation.
