The vast universe and its tapestry of stars seemingly stretches to infinity, within the endless celestial constructs countless lifeforms were born and even more died, empires rose from the ashes of fallen kingdoms, galactic wars raged through whole galaxies while tribal chiefs make peace to coalesce into a single village, beings of vast power despaired at their empires downfall and a wild beast celebrates yet another successful hunt.
Innumerous events happened every passing second and yet no amount of mountains that crumbled and planets that were destroyed seemed to contain any significance on a universal scale for every mountain that crumbled a taller stood behind it and planets were more numerous than atoms one could observe at a time.
To the inhabitants of this universe it seemed eternal, what foolish naivety.

A single angelic figure stood on the void of space watching as the once glorious realm crumbled before its face, lips turning into a light smile, the angelic being then slowly lifted its head and spoke with a condescending tone, "A shame don't you think?" There was no one here, not within thousands of light years, but it knew they had heard.
Turning around it watched with a detached expression as seven dark figures materialized before it, their bodies seemed to be humanoid yet a strange sense would befall all that looked upon them that these figures were anything but human yet seemed more human than anything could possibly be.
Without waiting for the figures to respond the angel made a grasping gesture at a large constellation of stars and stars responded rushing towards the figures the heavens themselves crashing down, unfazed the leftmost figure snapped her fingers towards the sky causing the stars to disintegrate into plumes of dust, the void of space was once more filled with swirling nebula, while she fended off the relentless celestial onslaught the other six figures charged forwards, bodies warping to reveal countless eyes beneath their now pulsating flesh.
The angelic beings' seemingly kind face tightened with a savage cruelty, warping the once radiant visage into an expression of twisted delight, standing its ground, its hand clenched tightly ripping a hole in the fabric of space itself before warping the shattered fragments into a beautiful silver spear.
It swung the spear in a wide ark attempting to force the incoming figures back, undeterred the figures rushed into the oncoming attack letting their physical bodies be ripped into oblivion becoming bloody fragments by the spears ability to shred through space, ignoring the obliteration of their bodies their souls shattered into chains and begun to bind around the angel.
The angel's eyes widened in shock as it attempted to evade the incoming chains but it acted too late.
A sickly yellowish-green chain plunged into the angels right hand oozing with a strange liquid that let out thick poisonous plume, its left hand was bound by a pale-blueish chain that seemed forged out of endless regrets and apathy, its two brilliant white wings adorned were shackled by a solid black chain, flecks of gold scattered around like stars that adorned the night sky, and a pale-green chain that radiated a sickening oily stench, Its left leg was confined by a dazzling purple chain that seemed to give off a soft, gentle glow and around its right a chain of blazing red roared angrily at the universe itself, finally a blinding white chain that gave a sense that it could do no wrong stabbed into the angels head.
As the angel fell, wrapped in chains, it heard a voice "Our souls spent we will revive yet again, what of you? you will fall imprisoned as we save ourselves, watch as we destroy heaven, watch as we fell your god and sit there knowing your dreams will never come to fruition"
The Angel blinked its lips curling into a strange smile before it whispered back, "The seven of you will stop a god?, the god? very well, I will watch even should I break free how you struggle against the highest order reality has to offer, I will watch indeed" With those words the Angel's eyes closed its body becoming a single bright star in the sky, one species millions of years from now would call 'The North Star'
