Chapter 26 - The Day Little Lily Became a Big Girl.

Five hours later, in Russia, Moscow…

Lilith was perched happily on Nikolai's back, her tiny arms wrapped loosely around his shoulders as she giggled endlessly, the soft sound echoing through the quiet luxury of the car. In her hand was the black sipping cup Nikolai had bought specially for her, and she drank her milk with pure contentment.

"More milky, pretty please?" Lilith asked sweetly, her big innocent eyes looking at him.

Without hesitation, Nikolai handed her another cup. He could never refuse her.

In the car, she suddenly shifted slightly.

"Nikki… Lily tummy hurts," she said softly.

His expression changed instantly with concern. He gently placed a hand on her belly, rubbing it in slow soothing circles before leaning down and placing a soft kiss there.

"It's okay, Bambi," he murmured.

Soon, they arrived home.

"Lily home!" she squealed excitedly, jumping out and running straight toward their room. Her loud, carefree giggles filled every corner of the mansion, bringing life back into it.

Nikolai let out a breath he didn't realize he had been holding.

"The happiness of the house is back," Yulian said with a small smile.

"When is her birthday again?" Rima asked.

"In two weeks. On Saturday," Nikolai replied.

"Y'all wanna buy gifts for the tiny queen?" Adrian grinned.

"Yes!" everyone responded in unison.

Nikolai walked into his room and saw his tiny wife already asleep, curled up peacefully. His expression softened instantly. He walked over, kissed her forehead gently, and pulled the covers over her.

"My Bambi is finally home," he whispered.

By sunrise…

Nikolai was already in his office, occupied with an important meeting involving international clients.

Back in the bedroom, Lilith stirred.

"Nikki?" she whispered softly.

She slowly got up from the bed, rubbing her eyes. As she stood, she suddenly froze. Her gaze dropped, and she saw a red stain.

Fear gripped her instantly.

Her small body trembled.

She ran out of the room.

"Nikki! Nikki!" she cried out in panic.

Everyone rushed out immediately.

"What's wrong, baby?" Ethan asked urgently.

Then they saw it.

Blood on her hands.

"L…Lily has a red color in her N…No no square," Lilith stuttered, tears streaming down her cheeks. "No no… no no… I'm sorry…"

"Square?" Enzo repeated, trying hard not to laugh.

"Y…Y…Yeah… m…my N…No no s…s…square…" she cried.

"I think it's her period," Olivia said calmly.

"Come on, baby, let's clean you up," Darya said gently.

The girls quickly took her in, comforting her softly. They cleaned her up, changed her, and gave her a pad. After dressing her, they sat her down carefully.

"Lily, baby… you just got your first period," Rima explained gently. "That means our Lily is a big girl now."

"So it's a good thing. We ladies have them every month," Nimra added softly.

Lilith sniffed, listening carefully.

"S…so Lily is b…b…big g…girl now?" she asked hesitantly.

"Yes," Sabrina smiled warmly. "Our Lily is now a big girl."

Her face lit up instantly.

A wide, innocent smile broke through her tears.

"Big Lily!" she said happily, giggling.

They all laughed softly and pulled her into a warm group hug.

Three hours later…

Nikolai returned home and immediately noticed only the men present.

"Uhmm… what's going on?" he asked.

"Apparently your tiny wife just got her period and said there is blood coming out of her 'No no square,'" Taran said.

"A what?" Nikolai frowned.

From inside, he heard giggles and laughter.

He walked into the room and saw his tiny wife sitting with the girls, being taught carefully.

"So does big Lily understand now?" Addison asked.

"Y…Y…Yes," Lilith nodded.

Nikolai cleared his throat.

They all turned.

"Hey, Capo," Nimra said casually.

"H…Hi Nikki!" Lilith beamed, running to hug him.

"Come down for lunch, and we'll talk about your wedding dress. Okay, Big Baccha?" Rima said.

Lilith nodded eagerly.

They all left, leaving the two alone.

Nikolai lifted her gently into his arms.

"What happened to my Bambi today?" he asked softly, concern laced in his voice.

"Nikki… Lily now a b…b…big girl now… T…the red color in my no no square is a s…s…" she struggled.

"A sign that my Bambi is now a big girl, right?" he finished with a soft smile.

"Uh huh!" she nodded.

He kissed her and held her close.

"That's why her tummy was hurting yesterday…" he murmured.

By 3:45 PM…

Lilith had finished eating.

Nikolai carefully changed her stained pad to a fresh one without hesitation. He didn't care about anything—this was his tiny wife, and he would take care of her no matter what.

He brought her shoes.

"Lily tie her big girl s…shoes!" she announced proudly.

"Oh really?" Ethan teased.

"Yep!" she said confidently.

"No, Bambi, let me," Nikolai said.

"Nunu! Nunu! Big girl s…stuff!" she pouted angrily.

"I think she's having mood swings," Sergei muttered.

"Yeah," Rohan agreed.

"This is gonna be hard," Hammed sighed.

"Yep," Marco added.

Lilith sat there, her tongue sticking out slightly as she struggled to tie the laces.

"Got it, Lily?" Caspian asked.

"Yep! Yep!" she said proudly.

The men exchanged looks, trying hard not to laugh at the completely twisted mess she had made.

Alexxio held his laughter, Valerio too.

The whole hall went quiet.

"What? Funny, huh?" she snapped angrily.

"Nothing," they all said quickly.

Distracted, she didn't notice as Nikolai gently fixed the laces properly.

"Okay, love. Let's go," Nikolai said.

They headed to the hospital.

After arriving, Dr. Leonid and the nurses examined Lilith carefully. Soon, after an injection, she fell asleep peacefully.

"I brought different special neurologists from across the world for her case," Leonid began seriously. "If we operate on her, she might develop a split personality or memory loss. But since it's permanent damage, those risks are somewhat reduced."

He paused.

"There is still a 2% chance of survival during the procedure. Her brain activity levels are very high. She might go into a coma if care is not taken."

Silence filled the room.

"This will be the first operation—to clear the blood in her brain and assess if we can continue."

"If anything goes wrong…" Nikolai's voice dropped dangerously, "…I will shut this hospital down."

"N…Nothing will go wrong, sir," a nurse said nervously. "From her chart, her breathing is low. It looks like she may develop asthma."

Leonid checked.

"Does she play a lot or get agitated?" he asked.

"No, but she tries to speak a lot and calls things she can't pronounce," Ethan explained.

"Hm," Leonid nodded, reviewing the files.

Daria stood nearby, stealing glances at him. She had liked him since the first moment she saw him.

Leonid smirked slightly, noticing her gaze.

"I want her operation after the wedding," Nikolai said firmly. "We start preparations tomorrow. Get those doctors to stay at the mansion. You too—I want constant monitoring."

"It will be done," Leonid nodded.

Lilith remained asleep as arrangements began to unfold around her… unaware of the storm waiting ahead.
