Chapter 154 - A Season of Weddings.

Everyone was gathered around the long breakfast table, the atmosphere warm with laughter and the comforting aroma of freshly prepared food.

"Here, baby," Nikolai said softly as he scooped another spoonful of porridge toward Mila.

Mila opened her tiny mouth obediently.

"Good girl," he praised with a smile.

She happily chewed before making a series of adorable little gestures with her hands that caused everyone around the table to laugh.

"Boss, we have a full hand," Enzo reminded him while looking through the day's schedule.

"I know. We need to leave soon. Lily's school is open now," Nikolai replied.

Meanwhile…

Rohan quietly finished eating before standing up.

"Mumma," he called as he walked toward Queen Ishawri's private hall.

"Yes, my child?" Queen Ishawri asked gently.

Rohan inhaled deeply.

"I am in love with Oyiva… and I want to make her my wife."

Silence filled the room.

Every member of the royal family looked toward him.

"You finally said it, huh?" Prince Swaraj smiled knowingly.

"Yes," Rohan answered confidently. "She has been with us for years. Loyal… caring… and when Lily left us for three years, she took care of everyone during her pregnancy. She cared for the children for those three years. She doesn't just make me happy… she makes me feel so much love. Mumma…"

Everyone listened carefully to every word.

Queen Ishawri's eyes became emotional.

"Oh, my sweet baby… as long as you're happy, we will always be happy for you."

She stood up and embraced him tightly.

Outside the hall…

Oyiva had unintentionally overheard everything.

Her cheeks turned bright red.

Unable to hide her smile, she quietly hurried toward Lily's room.

She knocked gently.

"Madam ji?"

"Via? What's wrong?" Lily (Mihu) asked.

Oyiva immediately folded her hands.

"Please bless me and Rohan sir's marriage. I love him."

Lily stared at her for a moment before smiling.

"Looks like it's wedding season, huh?"

Nikolai chuckled from where he was sitting.

Lilith (Mhaira) laughed softly.

"You really love him?"

Oyiva nodded immediately.

At that exact moment…

Rohan entered the room.

Their eyes met.

Both of them smiled shyly.

"Oi," Lily (Mihu) laughed. "You wanted to ask for her hand, right? Well… she just said the exact same thing."

Rohan looked lovingly at Oyiva before turning toward Lilith.

"I love her. Mrs. Lilith… may I marry her?"

He respectfully placed his hands together.

"Yayyy! More weddings! Yes!!"

Lilith clapped excitedly.

"Ouch… ouch… ouch… my arm…"

She immediately grabbed her injured arm.

Nikolai quickly stood.

"Sorry, love."

He carefully examined her arm to ensure she hadn't strained it.

Preparations immediately began.

The palace transformed into another grand wedding venue.

Princess Apeksha initially assumed the elaborate decorations were meant for her own wedding, but the royal family politely sent her back to her kingdom.

Her mother sincerely apologized.

"I am truly sorry for my daughter's words. She's still young… and unfortunately spoiled too much by her father."

The apology was accepted.

Inside the women's chamber…

Oyiva sat quietly while the ladies surrounded her.

They lovingly teased her while applying intricate henna designs across both of her hands.

Everyone laughed together.

The wedding had been arranged for nightfall since everyone would be leaving again the following day.

Guests from various kingdoms and noble families gradually arrived.

Elsewhere…

Rohan stood proudly wearing a Traditional Royal Maharashtrian groom outfit, featuring a luxurious silk dhoti and kurta beneath an embroidered sherwani styled like an angrakha. A regal pheta turban rested proudly upon his head, decorated with pearls and an ornate royal brooch. Several layered pearl necklaces hung gracefully around his neck. Traditional mojari shoes completed the attire, while an elegant embroidered shawl rested across one shoulder, reflecting Maratha royal heritage and timeless grandeur.

Guest after guest approached him.

"Congratulations, Your Highness."

He politely shook every hand.

"Thank you."

Soon…

Lokesh arrived.

Standing beside him was his wife…

Alekhya.

Also present were Oyiva's father, Mr. Ramamurthy…

Her stepmother…

Mrs. Subbamma…

And her three children—

Vinay.

Anil.

And Alekhya.

The very woman who had stolen Lokesh from Oyiva after sleeping with him before their wedding.

The group bowed respectfully.

"Sorry, Your Majesty… I heard my daughter is in your palace?" Mr. Ramamurthy asked hopefully.

Rohan smiled.

"Oh… you mean Oyiva?"

"Yes… she's my daughter."

"And she is my bride."

"We're getting married today."

The entire family froze.

"What?"

Complete shock spread across every face.

Rohan simply smiled.

"Oi! Ronny! Come on! It's time for the ritual!" his mother called.

"Come sit in front… and see for yourself."

The family silently followed.

Music echoed throughout the palace.

The women descended the grand staircase.

Lily (Mihu) gently held Oyiva's arm as she slowly guided her toward the beautifully decorated altar.

The moment Rohan looked up…

He completely forgot how to breathe.

His bride wore a Traditional Royal Telugu bride outfit, featuring a richly woven Kanchipuram silk saree in vibrant royal colors adorned with intricate gold zari work. Exquisite temple jewelry rested elegantly upon her neck and ears. A magnificent waist belt highlighted the graceful draping of the saree. Layered necklaces sparkled beneath the palace lights while fragrant jasmine flowers decorated her beautifully arranged hair beneath a graceful bridal veil.

She embodied elegance…

Heritage…

Royal splendor.

Rohan smiled.

His eyes never left her.

Oyiva shyly sat beside him.

The ceremony began.

Antarpat

A sacred cloth separated the bride and groom while the priests chanted the holy Mangalashtak verses.

The atmosphere became deeply spiritual.

Mila clapped excitedly.

"Yayyyy!"

Nikolai carried her comfortably in his arms while she watched everything with sparkling eyes.

Kanyadaan

The priest looked around.

"Who is giving the bride away?"

"Me!!"

Lilith (Mhaira) answered immediately.

Everyone turned.

Despite her injured leg…

She slowly limped forward.

She sat between the couple.

Carefully tied their garments together.

Then gently took Oyiva's trembling hand.

Tears filled Oyiva's eyes.

Lilith slowly placed her hand into Rohan's.

"Hurt her…"

"I paralyze you."

She smiled warmly after saying it.

Rohan nodded respectfully.

"Yes, Ma."

The ritual continued.

Alekhya leaned toward her mother.

"Maa… how did Oyiva get a prince? She left for ten years to Russia. How did they even meet?"

"I don't know."

"I wasn't there."

Mrs. Subbamma answered, unable to hide the envy upon her face.

Mangalsutra

Rohan carefully lifted the sacred mangalsutra.

With gentle hands…

He tied it around Oyiva's neck.

Next…

He respectfully applied vermilion to the parting of her hair.

Everyone applauded.

Saptapadi

The newlyweds held hands.

Together…

They took the seven sacred steps around the holy fire.

Guests showered them with flower petals.

Mila enthusiastically threw flowers too.

"Yayyyyyyy!"

Everyone laughed.

The priest smiled.

"Now… take the blessings of your elders."

Both of them immediately bowed.

"Bless you both."

Rohan's parents lovingly placed their hands upon their heads.

One elder after another blessed the couple.

Finally…

Oyiva approached her father.

She slowly bent down.

Alongside Rohan…

She touched his feet.

Mr. Ramamurthy could no longer control himself.

Tears streamed down his face.

"Bless you, dear."

He gently raised them.

Oyiva looked toward Mrs. Subbamma.

For several seconds…

They simply stared at one another.

Then…

Oyiva quietly walked past her.

"You didn't take my blessings," Mrs. Subbamma called.

Oyiva stopped.

Without turning around she calmly answered—

"More like taking a curse."

She continued walking.

Lily (Mihu) couldn't stop herself from giggling as she walked past the stunned woman.

The newlyweds then approached Lily and Nikolai.

They bent down.

"Hey, Via… what are you doing?" Lilith (Mhaira) asked.

"Taking your blessings… and Sir's too."

"Why?" Lily (Mihu) asked softly.

"You raised me… and the children. You took care of all of us."

"You're a mother…"

"And a goddess."

Oyiva respectfully folded her hands and bowed her head.

Lily immediately became emotional.

Tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Bless you both."

She sniffed quietly.

Mila looked confused.

"You make Mama cwy… why?"

"Nothing, baby."

Everyone smiled.

Guests continued congratulating the newly married couple.

Soon…

They arrived at Rohan's residence.

The Grihapravesh ritual was performed as Oyiva officially entered her new home as a bride.

"We leave tomorrow."

"We have a full hand."

Nikolai reminded everyone.

"Yes, Boss."

The household dispersed to prepare for departure.

Later…

Oyiva sat together with her family.

Lily (Mihu) quietly remained beside her.

Mr. Ramamurthy looked toward his daughter.

"Why didn't you come home, Via? I looked everywhere for you."

Oyiva took a slow breath.

"Your wife threw me out, Papa."

"She and her children lied to you about me running away."

"Lokesh slept with Alekhya one day before our wedding."

"He said she was better than me."

"I left him."

"They got married on the very day we were supposed to."

"I'm glad I never married such a disgusting, cheap man."

Rohan quietly held her hand.

Comforting her.

Mr. Ramamurthy lowered his head in shame.

Lokesh couldn't even lift his eyes.

"She lied to me, Via."

"She told me you were a dancer…"

"I didn't know."

"She came to me…"

He could barely continue.

Rohan interrupted.

"You had a choice."

"You could have pushed her away."

"But your lust was greater."

"You never deserved her."

"Not then."

"Not now."

"Not ever."

"Imagine if you and Oyiva had actually married."

"You would've continued seeing each other behind her back…"

"And probably with other women too."

"So thank you."

"Thank you for leaving her."

"Because if you hadn't…"

"I would've never married her."

Lokesh's eyes fell toward the floor.

He had nothing to say.

Oyiva sighed.

"You never loved me like your own daughter."

"I worked."

"You took every rupee I earned."

"You took the man I once loved."

"You took everything away from me."

"So… there's nothing left to say."

She turned toward her father.

"Papa…"

"Please come with me."

Mr. Ramamurthy silently followed.

Once alone…

He completely broke down.

"I am so… so sorry, my child."

"Please forgive me."

Oyiva gently wiped away his tears.

"Here."

"This is my number."

"Only you have it."

"If anyone asks for it…"

"Tell them you don't have it."

He nodded.

Then embraced her tightly.

He kissed her forehead.

"My daughter…"

That night…

Rohan quietly entered their room.

His bride waited patiently upon the bed.

Her bridal veil still covered her face.

He gently closed the door.

Walked toward her.

Sat beside her.

With careful hands…

He slowly lifted the veil.

Oyiva blushed.

He smiled warmly.

Then kissed her hand.

Moving slightly closer…

She shyly leaned back.

"Do you want this?"

He whispered.

Without speaking…

She nodded.

He gently removed his shirt.

Dimmed the lights.

Leaned forward.

And softly kissed her.

He untied her blouse slowly kissing her as lay her down First time? He whispered in her ear while rubbing her thigh she nodded against his neck I will be gentle he said kissing her as his pants were off he removed her underwear her face red.

That night…

They began their new life together as husband and wife.

By sunrise…

Everyone had gathered outside the palace.

Mila tightly hugged Queen Ishawri.

"Ba Ba… pwetty granny… I goin miwss you all!"

"We'll miss you too, Mil."

The royal family embraced her.

Queen Ishawri then approached Oyiva.

"This belongs to the eldest daughter-in-law of our family."

She presented a pair of beautiful golden bangles.

"I can't…"

Oyiva whispered.

"Accept them."

"You're now our daughter-in-law."

"This is our love…"

"And our blessings too."

Tears filled Oyiva's eyes.

She bent down.

Touched Queen Ishawri's feet.

"Bless you, dear."

Then Queen Ishawri laughed.

"And if Ronny ever troubles you…"

"Call us."

"If he starts an argument…"

"Hit his head."

"It always works for me."

"It runs in the blood."

Rohan sighed dramatically.

"Of course you'd tell her that."

"Yes."

"It worked for me…"

"And your father."

Everyone burst into laughter.

Warm hugs followed.

Goodbyes were exchanged.

The convoy of royal cars slowly departed.

Three hours later…

Everyone arrived at the airport.

After boarding the private plane…

Mila stood at the doorway waving both tiny hands.

"Ba Ba! Inja! Mil come back soon! I pwomise!"

"Byeeeeee!"

"Miss you!"

"Wuv you!"

"Byeeeeee!"

She continued waving until the palace family disappeared from sight.

Finally…

She giggled.

Jumped into her parents' arms.

Nikolai and Lilith kissed both of her cheeks.

Safe together once more…

The little family began their journey back home.
