"Maybe your tiny wife perhaps," Dr Leonid said.
"So everyone knows?" Nikolai asked.
They laughed silently.
Eight hours had passed.
The nurses arrived.
The gynecologist arrived too.
Lilith was asleep.
She had eaten breakfast and was now placed on drips.
Viktoria came.
Riyana held Lily's hand while she slept as Gloria Kesian and the twins entered.
"Did the school send a message?" Sohan asked.
"Yes. She has been selected for the match that will hold after the mid semester test," Wiktoria said.
"Ball?" Riyana asked.
"No. Taekwondo and karate," Gloria said.
Nikolai pinched his nose and sighed.
"Did they give a new suit?" he asked.
"Yes," Gloria said.
Sohan chuckled.
Lilith whined in her sleep.
She held her bump.
"Nikki…it hurts," she whispered.
Nikolai rubbed her hair gently.
He held her hand.
The nurses continued moving back and forth around her.
And for the first time that morning the room became unusually quiet as everyone looked toward Lilith knowing that the day ahead was going to change everything.
