Chapter 36 - Chapter 35: The Name on the Dream Card!

[Congratulations Host. You have obtained F-Rank Item: One Ounce of Gold.]

...

[Congratulations Host. You have obtained B-Rank Item: Ninjutsu Scroll (Wind Style: Vacuum Blade).]

"Dream Fabrication Card?"

Rasa raised an eyebrow.

This item had never appeared in his previous draws.

[One-Night Dream Fabrication Card (Mist Jonin Edition)]

—You may select one person from a random pool of ninja and invade their dreams to fabricate a scenario.

Rasa's eyes lit up slightly.

Just reading the description, he already knew how he would use it.

Invading dreams sounded harmless enough.

After all, dreams couldn't cause physical damage.

However, "what one thinks about during the day, one dreams about at night." Many people took the content of their dreams seriously.

Fabricating a dream for a ninja could very likely change that ninja's perspective on a certain person or event significantly.

This was completely usable for Rasa.

Compared to the One-Day Trial Card, each had its pros and cons.

The Trial Card could create a non-existent person and control them for a day, allowing for many actions.

But it also relied heavily on luck.

Take Gengetsu Hozuki for example. If he hadn't happened to stumble upon Fuguki Suikazan's plan, Gengetsu would have accomplished basically nothing, gathering very little intel.

And let's not even talk about Dou Uchiha and Gen Uchiha—their success relied entirely on the specific circumstances of the Uchiha clan.

And that was only after Rasa had laid the groundwork for a long time.

Without the prior rumors about Kagami Uchiha, Dou Uchiha's death wouldn't have had such a massive impact.

As for Gen Uchiha, in Rasa's view, his only contribution so far was spreading the rumors about Kagami Uchiha and driving a wedge between Shisui Uchiha and Hiruzen Sarutobi.

To give a more extreme example: if the created character appeared inside a death row cell the moment they spawned...

That character would be completely wasted, serving basically no purpose.

The One-Night Dream Card, on the other hand, allowed him to choose an existing ninja and fabricate their dream.

The effect would vary greatly depending on the ninja chosen.

But he had a choice.

He could select the most valuable target from the pool of available ninja.

This was very user-friendly.

Additionally, while both were C-rank items, the One-Day Ninja Trial Card corresponded to a Chunin, whereas the One-Night Dream Fabrication Card corresponded to a Jonin.

Next, Rasa looked at the second non-F-rank prize.

"B-Rank Item: Ninjutsu Scroll (Wind Style: Vacuum Blade). Another one of Danzo's jutsu."

"This will make framing Danzo even easier in the future. If it's all Danzo's jutsu, who would think it wasn't him? Even Danzo himself might start doubting his sanity."

"Also."

Rasa's eyes flickered.

"This time the prizes were one C-rank and one B-rank."

"It seems my guess was correct. The more consecutive draws, the higher the quality of the prizes."

"If conditions permit in the future, I should save up more points."

"I wonder what I could get from a 100x draw."

Rasa pondered for a moment.

But not for long.

His attention quickly returned to the One-Night Dream Card.

"Use!"

The next moment, several names appeared out of thin air on the Dream Card.

They were all Jonin from the Hidden Mist.

Kazuya Mizuhara, Arina Aoi, Edako Inuta... Kurozumi Hoshigaki...

A total of six names.

But the last name on the list caught Rasa's attention.

"Kocho Suikazan."

Rasa's brow twitched.

"What is this guy's relationship to Fuguki Suikazan?"

Rasa retracted the half-used Dream Card. He intended to get basic information on these six people before proceeding, to maximize the effect.

An intelligence ninja walked in.

Rasa handed him the list of six names.

"Investigate the basic information of these six people. Be quick."

"Yes, Lord Kazekage."

Watching the intelligence ninja leave, Rasa quickly processed the documents on his desk.

Aside from a few important ones, most were trivial.

Rasa wasn't in the mood to invest too much energy into these things.

Before long, the last document was processed.

Rasa glanced out the window. It wasn't anywhere near dark yet. The sun hung high in the sky, bathing the entire Sand Village in a golden hue, radiating waves of heat.

A wave of heat rolled in, distorting the air itself.

Rasa went downstairs, intending to check on the Uchiha captives.

"Lord Kazekage."

Along the way, he received respectful gazes and deferential attitudes from numerous villagers.

Even though the Sand Village was still at war, and even though they were at a disadvantage, the villagers could genuinely feel the changes in the village.

The atmosphere in the entire village was much more positive than before.

It was like they saw hope.

And the villagers felt that this was all thanks to Rasa.

Rasa's prestige as the Kazekage was growing higher and higher.

Rasa was no longer worried about his position in the Sand.

Most of the village's factions supported him. After all, following the Third Kazekage's disappearance, there were only two candidates for Kazekage: him and Pakura.

And now, Pakura was his wife.

There was also a rising star that many had high hopes for: Sasori of the Red Sand, the genius puppet master.

But Sasori had also disappeared.

Now, only a tiny minority of factions were dissatisfied with Rasa.

For example, a certain elder who, even after Rasa had made his decision, still suggested selling out Pakura to end the war.

Rasa didn't care about that elder.

"He doesn't have Danzo's life, but he has Danzo's sickness."

Danzo frequently clashed with the Hokage, and although he failed every time, Danzo at least had ability.

This Sand elder only had age and seniority.

He was completely useless.

Daitetsu Uchiha and Ro Uchiha seemed to have accepted their fate, perhaps even enjoying it a little too much.

They had new wives, no worries about food or clothing, no missions to complete, no battlefield to fight on... aside from the lack of freedom, it was all benefits. If they had to pick a flaw, it was that they weren't used to the food.

Izumi Uchiha and Kai Uchiha were being taught and trained by Yashamaru.

But mostly, it was brainwashing.

After all, Kai Uchiha was only one year old. Even if people in this world matured early, they didn't mature enough to start ninja training at one. Izumi Uchiha, however, already had a foundation.

The situation of these four was all within Rasa's plan.

Only Hazuki Uchiha was giving Rasa a bit of a headache.

Not because Hazuki herself was causing trouble.

But because several ninja clans in the Sand had petitioned Rasa multiple times, hoping to marry Hazuki Uchiha.

But Rasa felt it was inappropriate.
