Olvia was actually a very conflicted person.
Her concern for Robin was real, and her feelings were genuine.
Even so, Olvia was able to leave two-year-old Robin behind in Ohara and follow the archaeology team to sea in search of the secret of the Void Century.
The original story once explained that her obsession with history stemmed from her husband that unknown minor character.
But even if her husband's dying wish was to uncover the truth of the Void Century, it still shouldn't have led her to abandon her two-year-old daughter, should it?
She could have at least waited until her daughter was a little older.
From this, it was clear that Olvia's obsession with the poneglyphs had already surpassed Robin's place in her heart.
This was also a common problem for many people in this world.
Yasopp abandoned his wife and child. Olvia was slightly better she only abandoned her child.
Garin was even more outrageous, directly stabbing Shanks and Shamrock's mother to death.
Black found it puzzling. They weren't Black people, so how did they awaken such a racial talent?
Therefore, Black's attitude toward Olvia was quite cold.
When Olvia and Robin came out of the room, both with red eyes, Black called them over.
"Olvia, how far has your investigation progressed?"
Black's words made Olvia's heart skip a beat.
She had been softly sobbing, but immediately stopped and forced herself to sound composed.
"Your Highness, what investigation are you referring to? We are merely studying history."
Black sneered.
"'Merely studying history,' indeed."
"Alright, since you're playing dumb with me, I won't ask any more questions."
"From now on, you are not allowed to leave this manor."
"Robin, you will keep an eye on her. If she leaves the manor, I will personally execute her."
With that, Black flicked his sleeve and turned to leave.
Since being reincarnated as a Celestial Dragon, Black rarely became angry.
After all, he was already a World Noble. What more could he possibly want?
However, Olvia was still pretending to be ignorant in front of him at this moment, which made him somewhat irritated.
According to Aramaki, he had already clearly explained to Olvia that CP agents were investigating the Ohara archaeology team.
If, under such circumstances, Olvia still couldn't realize that the archaeology team's secret had been exposed, then she might as well sit at the same table as Whitebeard's Second Division Commander.
Even so, she still clung to a sliver of hope.
This made Black, who already had a poor impression of her, completely unwilling to care about her fate.
So the words he had spoken just now were serious.
Allowing Olvia to live in the manor as a Slave actually carried certain risks.
If she were truly discovered, it could be explained away, but it would still cause some minor trouble for Black.
If Olvia was still thinking about her Ancient Script and the Void Century,
then before she caused an even bigger problem, Black would have to eliminate her.
Even if Robin resented him for it, he would still do it.
On the other side, Spandine had once again arrived at the Room of Authority.
The heavy metal door silently closed behind him, cutting off all light and noise from the outside world.
The conference room within the Room of Authority was filled with a suffocating atmosphere, causing Spandine to tremble every time he came here.
The Gorosei were seated on both sides of the long table.
Spandine's standing position was strictly controlled at about two meters away from the table. His heels were together in a formal stance, his hands pressed tightly against the seams of his trousers, and his body leaned slightly forward to show respect.
This was the standard posture Spandine had painstakingly devised when appearing before the Gorosei. It neither trespassed into their spatial domain nor prevented him from responding instantly if summoned.
His back was rigid like a steel plate, his gaze always lowered, and a fawning smile was plastered onto his face like a mask.
It had to be said that Spandine, despite being a sycophantic and tyrannical scoundrel, had his reasons for reaching his current position.
Everyone who succeeded possessed something extraordinary even Spandine.
"Do the ants of Ohara truly dare to touch the taboo?"
Warcury tapped his fingertips lightly against the table.
He sat with his back to the sun, the light shining upon his round head and making his scalp gleam.
His two bushy mustaches twitched slightly, making him appear somewhat comical.
But the words he spoke were utterly devoid of warmth.
"Are they truly researching the poneglyphs and attempting to uncover the truth of the Void Century?"
Cold sweat seeped down Spandine's forehead.
He maintained his attention stance and took a half-step forward, but his toes never crossed the predetermined line.
"Your subordinate has already arrested them all, but... they refuse to cooperate with the interrogation."
"The archaeology team insists that exploring the poneglyphs is the right of scholars..."
"They even... even said that the Government is concealing the truth!"
"Useless!"
Peter slammed the table, startling Spandine into trembling.
"If you can't even deal with a group of scholars, what use is CP9?"
"What 'right of scholars'? Aside from the World Government, no one has any rights!"
Spandine swallowed nervously.
He suddenly snapped back into a rigid military posture, his voice rising sharply.
"Exactly! Your subordinate suggests initiating a Buster Call!"
"Let the Marines use cannon fire to wipe Ohara off the map as a warning to others!"
Mars slightly narrowed his eyes.
"Interesting... a Buster Call?"
His tall frame made his already narrow eyes appear even smaller. Combined with his long straight hair and long beard, his eyes were almost invisible.
"Yes! Lord Gorosei! The prestige of the World Government must never be challenged!"
Spandine's legs remained as still as if nailed to the floor, his body maintaining the predetermined distance as his tone grew nearly frantic with flattery.
"Those fools researching the Ancient Script must be completely crushed. Otherwise, other islands will follow their example!"
Saturn suddenly raised his hand, and the entire conference room fell into dead silence.
"Spandine, you seem to have forgotten your place."
His gaze pierced the other's spine like an ice pick.
"CP9 is merely our dog. And a dog... should not decide how its master tears apart its prey."
Spandine's legs instantly gave out.
He collapsed to his knees with a loud thud, speaking in panic.
"Your subordinate is foolish! Lord Gorosei!"
"But a Buster Call could achieve another objective."
"Fleet Admiral Kong is already advanced in age, and he was defeated by a pirate..."
"After waking from his injuries this time, his body is even worse than before..."
This time he was careful and did not finish the sentence.
But the Gorosei already understood his meaning.
Kong had been defeated in a one-on-one battle by Patrick Redfield.
The shockwaves of that incident had not yet completely faded.
If they took this opportunity to remove him from the Marines or even from the sea entirely then they could both restore the authority of the Marines and erase the stain of Kong's defeat.
Nusjuro suddenly burst into laughter, his voice echoing through the chamber.
"What a brilliant move killing two birds with one stone!"
"Executing a Buster Call on Ohara would both intimidate the seas and bring fresh blood into the Marines."
"Let those restless scholars see that Ohara is their warning!"
He turned to the four others beside him.
"What do you all think?"
Saturn slowly nodded.
"It is indeed a good idea. However, after Kong steps down, the only person capable of succeeding him as Fleet Admiral appears to be Sengoku the Buddha."
Peter added,
"Sengoku is also quite obedient. Let him be responsible for this Buster Call."
"Tell him that once the Buster Call is completed, it will be time for his promotion to Fleet Admiral."
"Agreed."
"Agreed."
"Agreed."
