The interior of the Black Pearl's primary training bay was a blur of violet light and the high-pitched hum of droid servos. Revan Shan moved with a fluidity that bordered on the preternatural, his Balanced Purple lightsaber spinning in a protective web of Form III Soresu. Around him, twenty Marksman-H training remotes—now refitted with Beskar-Cortosis alloy for increased durability—buzzed like an angry swarm of metal hornets.
"Come on, you lot! My grandmother could dodge those, and she's been dead for... well, a long time!" Revan shouted, his voice light and full of that 11th Doctor manic energy.
He wasn't just practicing simple deflection. He was running a simulation he remembered from a life on Earth—the grueling circle of fire Anakin Skywalker had once used to train Ahsoka Tano. The remotes weren't firing in predictable patterns; they were utilizing a Kyber-Quantum randomized algorithm that targeted his blind spots with split-second precision.
Revan closed his eyes, letting the "feeling" of the Force take over. He didn't need his Doctorate in Theoretical Physics to calculate the trajectory of a blaster bolt when he could simply feel the ripple in the air before it happened. He ducked, parried, and pirouetted, the purple blade catching every stun-bolt with a rhythmic snap-hiss.
"Beep-whistle-clank!" Chopper (C1-10P) cheered from the observation deck, occasionally throwing a small piece of junk into the training circle just to make things harder.
"Chopper! That's quite enough 'environmental hazards' for one morning!" Revan laughed, deactivating his blade as the remotes powered down. He wiped a bead of sweat from his forehead and reached for a bag of lemon candies sitting on a nearby crate.
The Audit of Dromund Kaas
As the Black Pearl adjusted its course for the Sith heartworld of Dromund Kaas, Revan activated the completed Revan Holocron. The bronze light of the ancestor filled the training bay, the T-shaped mask regarding his descendant with a stoic, timeless presence.
"Ancestor," Revan said, leaning against the wall. "Dromund Kaas. Even in my memories of the 'movies,' that place is a nightmare of jungle and lightning. What exactly is Tenebrus looking for there? He's already got an apprentice and a half. What does he need with a Star Forge Prototype?"
"The Prototype on Dromund Kaas is not a shipyard, descendant," the Holocron-Revan replied, his voice a melodic chime. "It is an Aura-Foundry. My original Empire built it to weave the Dark Side into physical matter—to create armor and weapons that didn't just protect, but corrupted. Tenebrus seeks it to refine his 'Acolyte' project. He wants to create vessels for his spirit that are not merely biological, but reinforced by the alchemy of the Star Forge."
"He wants to be a god in a Beskar shell," Revan summarized, popping a candy. "Standard Sith ambition. Bit boring, really. How do I handle it? If I take it for the Foundry on Lehon, I risk the corruption. If I leave it, he finds it."
"The choice is yours, Maverick," the ancestor said. "But remember: a tool is only as kind as its maker. If the tool itself is born of hate, even a kind hand may be stained."
"Right. Then I'll just blow it up," Revan decided sassily. "Adventure is about the journey, but sometimes the journey requires a very large explosion. I'll have HK record the whole thing. It'll make for a brilliant report for the Council. They love a good fireworks show."
The Storm-Wracked World
Arrival at Dromund Kaas was an exercise in atmospheric violence. The planet was a dark emerald orb perpetually shrouded in violent electrical storms. As the Black Pearl descended, the Capital-Ship Sovereign-class shields flared a brilliant blue, absorbing the massive lightning strikes that sought to ground themselves in the ship's hull.
"Cortana, keep the Invisible Cloak at maximum power," Revan commanded, sliding into the pilot's seat. "The Sith Citadels might be overgrown, but the localized security droids are probably still 'auditing' the sky for intruders."
"Shields at 92%, Revan," Cortana reported. "I've identified a landing zone near the ruins of the Dark Temple. The overgrowth is significant. The jungle has reclaimed the stone, but the Dark Side signature is... oppressive."
Revan looked at his T-shaped helmet on the dash. He didn't put it on. "Not yet. I want the jungle to see my face. It's more polite that way."
The Clearing of the Path
The ramp lowered into a humid, dark world where the trees were twisted into agonized shapes and the air tasted of ozone and rot. Revan stepped out, his black-and-red armor gleaming. Beside him, HK-47 marched with his electrostaff and blaster rifle, his Beskar-Phrik frame casting a long, spindly shadow.
*"Statement: Master, the local wildlife appears to be suffering from a significant degree of 'Sith Mutation'," * HK-47 whirred, his photoreceptors glowing a menacing crimson. "Observation: I am detecting several dozen quadrupeds with unnecessary spikes and a high concentration of predatory intent. Suggestion: We should initialize a 'Kindness Sweep' immediately. I have a new combustion-grenade I've been dying to audit."
"Stay close, HK," Revan said, drawing both his Natural Red and Balanced Purple lightsabers.
Suddenly, the jungle erupted. A pack of Sith-mutated Tuk'ata—massive, stone-skinned hounds with glowing yellow eyes—leaped from the undergrowth. They didn't move like animals; they moved like a coordinated strike team, their minds linked by the lingering Dark Side of the planet.
Revan didn't flinch. He utilized Form VI Niman, his blades becoming a blur of color. He didn't seek to slaughter; he sought to disable.
* Force Stasis: He froze the lead Tuk'ata mid-air, allowing HK-47 to deliver a non-lethal (but very heavy) blunt-force strike with his electrostaff.
* Tutaminis: A localized lightning strike hit a nearby tree; Revan caught the energy in his palm and redirected it into the ground, creating a harmless shockwave that sent the pack tumbling.
"Exclamation: Oh, how kind of you, Master!" HK-47 chirped, his blaster rifle barking as he picked off the Tuk'ata's spikes. "Statement: I am currently auditing their mobility. It appears they do not like being tripped by high-velocity plasma."
They moved through the overgrown citadels like ghosts. Revan utilized his 10th Doctorate in Galactic History to navigate the ruins, identifying the architectural markers of the Aura-Foundry.
The Audit of the Prototype
Deep within the bowels of a half-collapsed citadel, they found it. The Star Forge Prototype was a pulsing, violet-and-gold machine that looked like a jagged tooth protruding from the floor. It was feeding on the planet's lightning, the energy being converted into a dark, shimmering alloy that sat in a nearby hopper.
"It's a corruption engine," Revan whispered, his Mechu-deru senses feeling the malice of the machine. "It doesn't just make metal; it makes misery. Tenebrus wants this to build his new skin."
Revan pulled out a small holocam. "HK, record this. Every angle. I want the Council to see exactly what kind of 'Rogue Cell' we're dealing with."
"Acknowledgement: Recording initialized, Master. Suggestion: I should pose next to the reactor. It would add a touch of mechanical elegance to the report."
"Just stay behind the shield, HK."
Revan didn't use a lightsaber to destroy it. He used Theoretical Physics. He utilized Force Grip on the primary coolant lines while simultaneously using Force Repulse on the energy-stabilizers.
> The Entropy of the Dark (E_d):
> By destabilizing the localized field, Revan forced the prototype into a feedback loop. It was a surgical demolition, auditing the machine's own power against it.
>
The prototype shrieked—a high-pitched, metallic scream that resonated in the Force. Then, with a blinding flash of white light, it collapsed in on itself, the violet energy dissipating into the damp earth.
"Right. Audit complete," Revan said, wiping dust from his Beskar-alloy gauntlet. "No more Aura-Foundry. Tenebrus is going to have to find a new hobby."
The Council's Paranoia: Coruscant
While Revan was blowing up Sith artifacts, the High Council Chamber on Coruscant was a theater of quiet debate. Grandmaster Yoda, Master Vernestra Rwoh, and Master Sskeer were reviewing the latest sensor-logs—specifically the ones showing the Black Pearl entering the Deep Core.
"He has accessed the Forbidden Reach," Vernestra said, her voice tight with a mixture of fear and professional jealousy. "Knight Shan is gathering power that we do not understand. He refuses to report. He refuses to meditate. He is a Maverick who has become a law unto himself."
"Pull him back, we should," Yoda rasped, his eyes half-closed. "To the Temple, he must return. Reflection, he needs. Meditation, he lacks. Too much of the 'world', he has seen."
"He will not come voluntarily," Sskeer hissed. "He carries the name Revan. He carries the history of a man who broke the Order. If we do not leash him now, we risk another schism."
"A leash, a Jedi does not need," Yoda countered. "But a guide... yes. Send Master Sol to track him. Find him, he must. Bring him home, he should. Not as a prisoner, but as a brother who has lost his way."
The Journey Continues
Back on the Black Pearl, Revan was already three sectors away from Dromund Kaas. He was in the workshop, helping R2-D6 and Chopper integrate the latest data from the Sith citadels into M1-NR's archives.
"Another day, another Sith artifact turned into scrap," Revan said, popping a lemon candy. "We're making good progress, D6. The Council will get the video, but they won't get the coordinates. I'm not in a rush to let them 'audit' my playground."
"Query: Master, what is our next destination?" HK-47 asked, his photoreceptors glowing with a steady light. "I find myself in need of more 'kind' interactions. The mutated hounds were a good start, but I'm hoping for something with a higher cognitive function. It's more satisfying to be kind to things that can appreciate the sarcasm."
Revan looked at the Rakatan Logic-Keys glowing on the dash.
"We're going to the Outer Rim, HK. I've heard rumors of a hidden shipyard near Mustafar. An ancient site, predating the Sith. According to my 8th Doctorate in Ancient Art, it's a place of fire and shadow. Sounds like a brilliant place for a picnic, don't you think?"
"Beep-whistle-clank!" Chopper agreed, throwing a small bolt into the air.
"Right then," Revan grinned, gripping the Jump-Snap hyperdrive lever. "Try to be nice. Do good. But never fail to be kind. Mustafar, here we come!"
The Black Pearl vanished into the velvet dark, the Maverick Knight moving toward the next mystery while the High Republic struggled to find its own shadow.
