Chapter 181 - Chapter 181 Resurrecting Frigga

Jane, who had been quietly watching everything unfold, opened her mouth as if she wanted to say something.

But in the end, she said nothing.

From what she had seen, it seemed clear that the Queen of Asgard had died because of her.

A heavy sense of guilt filled her heart.

Thor stood frozen in disbelief.

His hammer slipped from his hand and fell heavily to the ground.

His face was filled with grief.

At the same time, he couldn't stop blaming himself.

If he had arrived just a little earlier—

Perhaps his mother would not have died.

"Odin."

Karl finally stepped forward.

"Perhaps… I can resurrect the Queen of the Gods."

His calm voice broke the silence.

The moment those words were spoken, everyone turned to look at him.

Even Odin's gaze immediately locked onto Karl.

"If you can revive Frigga…"

Odin spoke slowly, his voice firm.

"Then you will forever be Asgard's most honored guest."

His meaning was very clear.

From that moment onward, Asgard itself would stand behind Karl.

At the same time, a faint spark of hope appeared in Odin's eyes.

Karl was a man who existed outside the timeline Frigga had foreseen.

If anyone could defy fate—

Perhaps it was him.

Karl simply glanced at Odin without saying anything.

Then he walked toward Frigga's body.

He took out the Resurrection Cross and gently placed it in her hand.

Next, Karl used his mental power to bind the last remaining trace of Frigga's spiritual energy to the cross.

The moment the connection formed—

A burst of brilliant white light erupted.

Frigga's body suddenly dissolved into countless glowing particles.

Those particles floated in the air for a brief moment—

Then began to reassemble themselves.

Thirty seconds later—

Frigga stood there once again.

Her eyes slowly opened.

She looked around in confusion.

She saw the grief on the faces of her two sons.

She saw the overwhelming relief on Odin's face.

And she saw Karl standing quietly nearby.

Odin himself was deeply shocked.

He could clearly sense it.

This was truly Frigga.

Even her soul was exactly the same as before.

"But… wasn't I already dead?"

Frigga asked softly.

"How did I return to life?"

Although she asked Thor and the others, she already had a guess in her heart.

It had to be Karl.

The powerful being from Midgard.

Her husband and children simply did not possess such power.

"Mother…"

Loki stepped forward first.

"It was Lord Karl who resurrected you."

His voice trembled with emotion.

"It's all my fault…"

"If I had acted sooner… none of this would have happened."

Loki tightly embraced Frigga.

At that moment, he finally understood what Karl had meant when they spoke after the battle with Captain Marvel.

"Mother!"

Thor rushed forward as well and hugged her.

"Yes… it was Karl who saved you!"

"That's wonderful!"

Thor's eyes were filled with gratitude toward Karl.

If Karl had not been here—

He might have truly lost his mother forever.

Odin slowly stepped forward.

"Lord Karl."

"On behalf of Asgard, I thank you."

"You will forever be our honored guest."

"And Asgard will stand as your ally."

Odin's voice carried absolute authority.

"If anyone dares offend a guest of Asgard…"

"The Bifrost will become a weapon capable of annihilating their entire planet."

Even Karl was slightly surprised by those words.

Odin was essentially saying that he would use the Bifrost as a planetary weapon if necessary.

"You may also enter my treasury."

"And select two treasures of your choosing."

"Thank you, God-King."

Karl nodded slightly.

"I will gladly remain a friend of Asgard."

Odin smiled faintly.

He understood exactly what Karl meant.

Karl clearly knew Odin's intention.

Odin wanted to use this opportunity to bring Karl onto Asgard's side.

Of course, Odin was also sincerely grateful for saving Frigga.

Karl didn't mind this alliance at all.

If Ragnarok could somehow be avoided, Asgard would remain one of the most powerful civilizations in the Nine Realms.

The Asgardians grew stronger with age.

Odin's current power was already terrifying.

The reason he periodically entered the Odinsleep was to stabilize the enormous divine power within him.

If that instability were solved—

Odin might even have a chance to break through to single-universe level power.

Soon afterward, Loki was escorted back to the dungeon.

Thor left to help eliminate the remaining Dark Elves across Asgard.

Karl returned to his guest chamber with Black Phoenix.

Only then did Odin quietly take Frigga's hand and walk toward the palace.

Earlier he had restrained his emotions in front of Karl and the others.

But in truth—

No one in Asgard wanted Frigga back more than Odin himself.

After the remaining Dark Elves were eliminated, Thor quickly came to find Karl.

"There will be a banquet tonight," Thor said excitedly.

His eyes were shining.

Clearly he was already thinking about drinking again.

Karl couldn't help smiling.

He had never experienced an Asgardian banquet before.

Naturally, he was curious.

So he readily agreed.

When they arrived at the banquet hall, many people had already gathered.

Odin and Frigga were both present.

Thor's close companions were there as well.

Even Loki had been released from the dungeon.

Most likely Thor or Frigga had arranged it.

After all, only those two would do such a thing.

Odin stood and raised his goblet.

"Today, Asgard faced an invasion from the Dark Elves."

"But we have repelled them."

He paused.

"However, during the battle, the Queen of Asgard was killed by a Cursed warrior."

The hall fell silent.

"But thanks to our honored guest—Lord Karl—she was brought back to life."

Odin lifted his goblet toward Karl.

"He will forever be our honored guest and friend."

"A toast—to Karl!"

Karl stood up with a smile and raised his own cup.

"Asgard will always be my friend."

"A toast—to Asgard!"

He then drank the entire glass in one gulp.

"Glory to Asgard!"

"Respect to Lord Karl!"

"Hahaha! Lord Karl is incredible!"

"I must drink with him later!"

Voices filled the hall.

Many Asgardians came forward to toast Karl.

Soon, Thor even rolled over a large barrel of wine.

When Karl saw it, the corner of his mouth twitched.

Now he understood why Thor was always so stubborn.

Perhaps the man had simply drunk too much wine over the centuries.

"Karl!"

"Tonight we drink until we drop!"

Thor said excitedly.

"This time we must have a real contest!"

"In Asgard, strength alone isn't enough."

"You must also be able to drink!"

Before Karl could respond, Thor had already begun filling his cup again.

At that moment, Loki approached.

Holding a wine glass, he bowed slightly.

"Lord Karl."

"Thank you for saving my mother today."

"If there is ever anything I can do for you…"

"Please do not hesitate to ask."

He then drank the wine in one gulp.

Karl smiled.

"Alright."

"Juggernaut!"

"Come drink with Thor."

"He says none of you can outdrink him."

Karl waved toward Juggernaut nearby.

Then he casually picked up another glass and drained it in a single gulp.
