Synopsis
Thrown into a complex reality he once saw as fiction, with half-ass knowledge of the future and plot, and a Chaotic Gacha. What could go wrong? IMPORTANT notes: I have not fully read ORV. I have been spoiled and spoiled. I know about as much as the MC will. I WILL be reading as I write. I DO know until about when Dokja dies and a bit after that. So I know there will be times where Dokja isn't with the main cast, but the MC is. And I RLLY don't know what the scenarios would have been at that time. But I HAVE to write smth when that happens, yeah? I hope you will help me when that time comes. I need criticism and ideas if u would so please. Will help. This novel is just a test. A small project, if you will. I have no idea if I will drop. But if I learn a few things, then I won't. Depends on your response and how I think. Cover is not mine. Found it randomly.

Chapter 1 - ''Just my luck''

(Subway train rumbling — clack-clack... screech... thud)

I was jolted awake by a slight shift in momentum that pushed my body to the right.

My eyes opened groggily, as if I had just taken an accidental five-hour nap after school.

"...Huh?"

Then my eyes snapped fully open.

A moment ago, I had been sitting at home, watching a YouTube video while eating pizza.

"Where the fuck..."

I couldn't help but mutter in disbelief. My pupils contracted, and a slight tremor ran through my body. I instinctively balled my right hand into a fist while gripping a metal pole with my left, as if I were afraid I would suddenly fall out of the train and into a void.

My vision blurred.

'Where the hell am I...'

That was my first coherent thought.

The second was to look around.

'Chinese?'

The writing on the cabin walls looked... Chinese? No. Korean.

The people sitting around me looked Korean, too.

Then was I in Korea???

What the fuck?!?

How did we get here?

My mind immediately decided that now was the perfect time to make a Minecraft reference.

Shaking the thought away, I forced myself to regulate my breathing and think rationally.

Okay...

I'm in a subway cabin in Korea.

And it's almost sev—

My thoughts crashed into a brick wall.

Everything blurred together into a single horrifying realization.

'A-almost... seven???'

My stomach dropped. And I looked at the subway clock again to make sure I wasn't already having a stroke.

Why did that conveniently sound exactly like the plot of a certain novel and manhwa that I'd started reading but dropped a third of the way through because of college? It hadn't even been that long.

'How do I even make sense of this...?'

Did I die?

DID I DIE???

AND TRANSMIGRATE INTO ORV?!?!

WHAT THE FUCK!?!

[Ding]

The sound instantly cut through my panic.

I stared dumbly into the air in front of me, where a black screen bordered with golden edges had materialized out of nowhere.

[Chaos Gacha has been fully integrated into the soul of ■■■]

"What?"

The middle-aged man sitting to my right glanced at me in confusion.

I ignored him.

I also ignored the fact that I had somehow spoken fluent Korean.

Actually, how did I even know it was Korean?

Future me could deal with that problem. Present me had bigger concerns.

[Due to the user's current bewilderment, the 5 free average-luck draws are being spun automatically.]

The screen flashed several times.

[Successfully drawn 5 abilities.]

{Heavenly Restriction}

(Epic Ability) (Luck: 5.2)

Jujutsu Kaisen — While this ability is active, you cannot use energy or mana in any way. In exchange, your physical abilities are increased by the amount of energy you possess, and you are immune to spells being directly cast on you—including life-force manipulation, buffs, and curses. You are also unable to be detected by magical means or directly targeted by abilities, as your body lacks energy/mana.

{Material Absorption}

(Elite Ability) (Luck: 4.8)

Ben 10/Marvel — Allows you to absorb the properties of a material you touch, either covering your body in it or turning your body into it and gaining its properties. You can absorb steel and become steel, gaining increased durability and conductivity. You could absorb uranium and become radioactive. Glass would make you brittle, and so on. This also extends to esoteric materials such as vibranium, adamantium, and more.

{Observation Haki}

(Epic Ability) (Luck: 5.6)

One Piece — Allows you to expand an invisible sensory field that lets you perceive movements and objects within its range. At higher levels of mastery, you can distinguish between targets, energies, and even emotions.

{Teleport}

(Legendary Ability) (Luck: 6.2)

You can teleport, and everything that entails. As long as you are sufficiently aware of a location or its coordinates, you can instantly teleport to it. Teleportation is nearly instantaneous and scales only slightly with distance; even a beginner could skip across countries. Excessive use may cause vertigo.

{Ice Age}

(Epic Ability) (Luck: 5.7)

Allows the user to freeze objects and create immense quantities of ice at will—freezing buildings, launching ice boulders weighing thousands of tons, or impaling enemies with pillars of ice. With enough training, entire cities can be transformed into frozen wastelands.

[Exclusive abilities and stats will be integrated accordingly when the free service of the planet system ends.]

I stared at the screen for several seconds.

Then I stared at the subway floor.

Then back at the screen.

Then back at the floor.

"..."

Nope. Still there.

I slumped into my seat and closed my eyes.

Out of all the possible reactions to suddenly being transmigrated into a death world with superpowers, my brain settled on one thing to say.

"Just my luck..."

I rubbed my forehead.

"I didn't even get to finish that DanTDM video."

''…''

"Fuck."

And so began my chaotic journey to the end of the story.
