Chapter 191 - Chapter 190: Damian Leads His Students to Attack Team Plasma

Nimbasa City is called the "Heart of the Shining Lightning."

Nimbasa is a very busy and large city. Some reports say its population is the third highest in the world. Only Lumiose City in Kalos and Wyndon in Galar have more people.

This shows how popular Nimbasa City really is.

Castelia City is very busy with a lot of work. But Nimbasa is famous for fun and entertainment. The city has a very relaxed feeling.

Damian and his group had now arrived at the edge of the city.

"Damian, is Team Plasma really here?"

Lacey asked Damian. She felt nervous but also excited.

"That is right. Our information says one of Team Plasma's bases is here. It is a very large base," Damian answered.

Damian nodded and looked at the students.

This time, he brought these students from Blueberry Academy to attack this Team Plasma base.

Lacey had talked to many people. Now, almost all the top students at Blueberry Academy had joined Damian's company. They all signed contracts.

Lacey is serious and cute, so she is very popular at the school. Even the Elite Four and the Champion of the school joined the company.

Damian was very happy about this. These students were all talented young people.

"In that case, there is no need to wait, Damian. Let us just charge in."

The person speaking was a handsome young man with white hair. He wore loose and stylish clothes.

This was Drayton, the Champion of the Blueberry League. He uses Dragon-type Pokémon.

Damian liked Kieran the most at Blueberry Academy, but Drayton was a close second.

Drayton was already as strong as a member of the Elite Four. He had the talent to become a Champion one day. He just needed to work hard to reach that final level.

Many strong trainers stay at the Elite Four rank for their whole lives. They cannot get any stronger.

"No!" Lacey did not like Drayton's idea. She crossed her arms in her usual way.

"I do not think that is a good idea, Drayton. That is way too reckless, isn't it?"

Lacey took this mission very seriously. They were here to stop an evil group!

Drayton scratched his head. He looked a bit troubled. He uses Dragon types, but he is not a violent person.

"Shouldn't we listen to Damian's plan? Damian is our leader, right?" Crispin said. He was a boy with short red hair.

He was also in the Blueberry Elite Four. He uses Fire types.

"Damian, what do you think we should do?" Lacey asked.

"Just attack directly. There is no need to give them time to react. This is for you to learn during your first mission," Damian said with a smile.

"Go ahead and do your thing. I will be watching over you from the back."

Damian thought there was no real danger in this mission. These students were from a school, but they were very good at fighting.

Drayton and the others won their ranks through battles. They were very skilled.

"See? Told you so," Drayton said. He moved his shoulders and looked at the warehouse. He began to smile.

Team Plasma? This was interesting!

"However, you must be careful. Members of evil groups are different from the school battles you know. Stay alert, look at your surroundings, and watch out for dirty tricks or ambushes," Damian warned them.

"Also, if you meet an opponent at the Executive level, do not try to be a hero. Call your friends and fight together, understood? This is not a tournament; it is a mission! Your safety is the first priority, then the mission objective."

"Yes, sir!"

Lacey and the others answered seriously.

"Alright, go ahead. I will provide backup from the rear," Damian said. He signaled for them to go.

More than thirty students from Blueberry Academy walked toward the warehouse.

But when they reached the door, they had a problem.

"Um... should we knock?" Kieran asked softly. He was walking behind Drayton.

Kieran was there, but his sister Carmine was not. This was the first time he was without her.

Damian wanted Kieran to learn how to be without his sister.

"Oh, Kieran... we are here to stop evil people. Why would we be polite to them?"

Drayton rolled his eyes. He and Kieran were friends.

"Archaludon!"

Drayton smiled and opened a Poké Ball.

A Pokémon made of steel structures landed on the ground. It was Archaludon, the evolution of Duraludon.

It was Drayton's best Pokémon.

"Archaludon, Flash Cannon!"

"Wait! Drayton!" Lacey and the others were shocked.

But Archaludon only listened to Drayton.

A ball of metal energy appeared in front of the Pokémon. It fired at the warehouse doors.

BOOM!

There was a big explosion. The doors were blasted open by the Flash Cannon. Dust filled the air.

"Drayton, you're being too impulsive," Amarys said. She was frowning.

"Honestly, you guys are so conservative. Damian did say we could do as we please, right?"

Drayton moved his shoulders. Did they really need to knock?

"We cannot give them a chance to escape. In that case, breaking the door down violently is the best way. Look, aren't they coming out now?"

Drayton pointed at the warehouse. People in Team Plasma uniforms were running out.

"Damn it! Our door!"

"Who are you people?!"

"Coming to Team Plasma's territory to cause trouble! Do you have a death wish?!"

"Hand over all your Pokémon! Or else we won't be polite!"

The Team Plasma members looked at the teenagers and thought they were weak.

They used Pokémon like Golbat, Liepard, and Weezing. There were many of them.

But the students had many people too.

"Oh boy..."

Drayton took out another Poké Ball. A strong Dragonite appeared.

"I have always heard of Team Plasma's 'great name,' but this is the first time I have actually seen you. So there really are people who try to steal other people's Pokémon?"

"Hmph! Such evil-doers!"

Lacey opened her Poké Balls. Whimsicott and Excadrill appeared.

"I guess we are doing a good deed, right? I actually quite like this kind of work," Crispin said. He brought out his Blaziken.

"By the way, merit points are calculated based on our combat results, right? Lacey, could you guys not steal my 'kills'?"

Drayton realized something important. He tried to talk to Lacey and the others.

"I really want to exchange for a Bagon, but the merit points required are quite high..."

"No! Drayton! That is so selfish! I want a Ralts too!" Lacey said immediately.

"Besides, we are in the middle of a mission! You are being way too slack!"

"Alright, alright," Drayton said. He held up his hands. "But honestly, against opponents like this... in our school, they probably could not even make it into the top fifty, right?"

Drayton looked at the Team Plasma Pokémon and thought they were weak.

This made the Team Plasma members very angry.

"Curse you! You brats!"

"Too arrogant! We are Team Plasma!"

"Today, I am going to beat you arrogant little kids until you cry!"

Both sides started a loud battle. The scene was very messy.

"Damian, did you do this on purpose?"

The battle inside was very easy for the students. The ordinary Team Plasma members could not win against Drayton's group.

But this was a large base.

The people outside were just guards. The elite members were inside.

Also, there was a Team Plasma Executive in this base.

"You could say it is a benefit. The main goal is that person," Damian said.

He did not deny it. He drank some juice and looked relaxed.

"Damian, Damian—I want to drink some too."

Jirachi sat on Damian's shoulder. It pulled his hair and acted like a child.

"Here—this bayberry juice is actually pretty good," Damian said. He took a bottle from his bag.

He did not like alcohol, but he liked fruit juice.

"It is so good!" Jirachi opened the cap and drank. Its eyes looked like happy half-moons.

Damian smiled because Jirachi was so cute. Its star-shaped head was very adorable.

Meanwhile, inside the Team Plasma base.

"Tsk. What's going on outside?"

A young man with blonde hair and a white coat frowned. He walked out of his lab. He was not happy.

He was working on an experiment. The noise made it hard to work.

The lab was quiet, but he could still hear the noise. This showed how loud the fighting was.

"Apologies, Colress. A group of people has attacked the base," a Team Plasma worker said.

"What?" Colress frowned more.

This base was for his research. It was hidden. He wondered how they found it.

"Is it the Unova League?"

"No, it does not seem like it. I heard them saying they are 'temporary workers' from the Silph Corp...."

"???"

Colress looked very confused. He did not understand.

"Have you reported to Ghetsis?"

Colress stopped thinking about the strange company name. He asked the worker a question.

"We have already reported to Sage Ghetsis. He said he has already sent people to assist you and told you to prepare in advance."

"I see."

Colress became calm again. He did not want to fight.

He was a scientist. He just wanted to do his work. Team Plasma gave him a place to work, so he stayed with them.

Colress was actually a very strong trainer, but he thought of himself as a scientist. He did not like to fight.

He only fought if he had to, or if he was interested in someone, or for an experiment.

"I guess you are the boss of this base, right?"

Drayton's lazy voice spoke to Colress. Colress turned and looked at the boy.

"I am merely a researcher. If you want to fight me, it would not be appropriate, would it?" Colress answered calmly.

"No, no, no. Your status looks quite high. You must be an Executive, right? If I catch you, the merit points should be quite high. For the sake of my Bagon, I will have to trouble you, researcher."

"???"

Colress was confused again. He did not understand.

He did not know about merit points or a Bagon.

And he wondered about this company. Why did temporary workers attack a Team Plasma base?
