Just then, a loud, high-pitched cry echoed through the air. A figure glowing with rainbow colors flew toward them. This made Damian happy.
Damian shouted, "Ho-Oh! You're just in time!"
Damian waved his arm at the arriving Ho-Oh.
Damian said, "Ho-Oh, do me a favor. Do you see that Kyurem over there? Go and defeat it for me."
Ho-Oh's wings stiffened mid-flap. It stared at Kyurem—whose aura was even more violent and fierce than Shiny Mega Rayquaza's—and its eyes widened in shock.
Ho-Oh sounded confused. "Human, do you mean… you want me to go defeat that Kyurem??"
Ho-Oh pointed its left wing at Kyurem, then pointed its right wing at itself. It asked Damian a question from the depths of its soul. "Me??"
Damian answered without hesitation. "Yeah, Ho-Oh. I think you can do it."
Ho-Oh did not even look back. "Sorry. I can't do it. Goodbye."
It turned around and prepared to leave.
It felt like this human was truly crazy. It was just a Ho-Oh. Why did he think it had that kind of power?
Last time he wanted it to fight Shiny Mega Rayquaza. This time it was Kyurem… next time, was he going to ask it to fight the Alpha Pokémon, Arceus?
