"Where exactly did this thing send me?"
In front of a massive swamp, Damian looked around at his surroundings with a strange expression. He scanned everything nearby.
Are you kidding me?
Wasn't I just sitting on Yveltal's back, taking part in that Legendary Pokémon free-for-all? I had already worked out the formula for victory.
How did I go from a desert to a swamp in the blink of an eye?
Damian was completely stunned.
"The Poké Balls still work. It's a wetland, and..."
Damian calmed himself down. First, he took out a Poké Ball. Miss Shell appeared by his side, letting out a yawn.
The Poké Balls were working normally, and his phone worked too, but there was absolutely no signal or internet connection.
He couldn't see any signs of people where he stood. Damian glanced at the swamp, then at the ground beneath his feet, and finally looked into the distance.
His expression became very strange.
"Time travel? Is this Terapagos's ability? But this doesn't feel right."
As for why Damian was so sure it was time travel?
It was because not far in front of him, a massive, incredibly sturdy gray bear was currently lying on the ground, seemingly resting.
Its entire body was extremely strong and bulky. There was a yellow circle on its forehead, and with its gray eyebrows, it formed a pattern like the moon behind clouds.
Wasn't that Ursaluna?!
Damian raised an eyebrow, watching the napping Ursaluna.
"Why did I end up in Hisui? Even if it is Terapagos's power, it shouldn't have sent me here."
Damian was very confused.
It was already confirmed that Terapagos had the power to travel through time and space, but the specific way to trigger it was still unclear.
In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Terapagos's time-travel ability had already been fully shown.
But normally, even if Stellar Form Terapagos triggered its power on the battlefield and sent Damian through time...
It shouldn't have sent him to Hisui.
Why?
Because Damian was in Kalos at the time, and Hisui is ancient Sinnoh. These two regions are very far apart.
But you can't be sure about these things. Maybe Terapagos just sends people to random places. Or maybe some "person" was interfering behind the scenes.
Maybe someone specifically sent Damian to the Hisui era.
Anyway, Ursaluna is a Pokémon that only appears in the unique environment of Hisui. This was definitely the Hisui region; there was no mistake.
Furthermore, Damian was fairly certain his current location was the Crimson Mirelands.
"Miss Shell, take that guy down."
Damian thought about it for a long time but couldn't figure it out, so he decided to stop thinking.
Terapagos's time travel seemed to have a time limit. Since he was lucky enough to end up in Hisui, he had to take advantage of it.
How could he not bring back some souvenirs now that he was here?
Since he was already here, he had to catch these Hisui-exclusive Pokémon.
Although he had been teleported away, Damian wasn't particularly worried about the battlefield. With Kyurem and the others there, they couldn't lose.
Tapu Fini perked up and floated toward the Ursaluna. She greeted it with a direct Hydro Pump.
The Hydro Pump blasted straight into the defenseless Ursaluna.
The Ursaluna's entire body was blown back. It bared its teeth in pain and finally managed to stand up.
Roar!!
Ursaluna roared at Tapu Fini. This jerk! How dare it use a sneak attack?!
"Fini?"
Tapu Fini didn't feel any guilt at all. How was that a sneak attack? I flew toward you so clearly; how is that a sneak attack?
It's obviously because your own guard was too low, okay?
Tapu Fini didn't want to waste words with this bear. She shot another Hydro Pump at Ursaluna.
The furious Ursaluna was not afraid either. It launched a wild, powerful charge at Tapu Fini.
And then...
"Looks like I'm in luck. The potential of this first Ursaluna is actually very good."
Damian played with an Ultra Ball in his hand. The Ursaluna from just now was inside the ball.
Being able to take a Hydro Pump from Tapu Fini without fainting immediately was enough to show the level of this wild Ursaluna.
Well, he would see if there were any better ones later. If not, he would keep this one to train.
Damian actually liked Ursaluna quite a bit.
"Speaking of which, I really have to thank Terapagos. Hisui is a great place."
Damian looked around. In the distance, there seemed to be two more Ursaluna rolling on the ground. He might as well pack them up and take them too.
To Damian, Hisui was a truly wonderful place.
Ursaluna, Kleavor, Sneasler, Basculegion, Hisuian Arcanine, and so on.
These Hisui-exclusive Pokémon couldn't be seen in the modern era.
So, Damian had actually always wanted to visit Hisui. Even without this coincidence, he had planned to find Dialga to open a path for him when he had the chance later.
Of course, even though he was here now, he still planned to ask Dialga to open a path in the future.
After all, there was no harm in visiting Hisui a few more times.
After catching several Ursaluna with good potential in this swampy area, Damian picked a random direction and continued forward.
The environment in Hisui was very good. Compared to modern industrial development, the Hisui era kept much more of nature's original flavor.
There were endless fields, and he couldn't even see the end of them in the distance. Cities? He couldn't see any cities.
After all, this era only had villages; there were no so-called cities yet.
However, Damian wasn't in a hurry. Although Shadow Mewtwo and the other Legendary Pokémon were still on the desert battlefield in Kalos, he still had several powerful Legendary Pokémon with him.
"Damian, where are we?"
After using a bottle of Sacred Ash to restore most of the young Rayquaza's strength, the young Rayquaza looked confused and curious.
Wait, weren't we just fighting? Why did we end up in this place in the blink of an eye?
"Who knows. Rayquaza, can you sense your parents?"
"The distance is too far, but there seems to be something?"
The young Rayquaza wasn't sure. Although they had a bloodline connection, the distance was indeed too great, so it couldn't be certain.
But it could vaguely sense the aura of its own kind. However, how should it put it? It felt a little strange.
"Alright, I basically understand."
Damian nodded and then returned the young Rayquaza to its ball.
"Terapagos's time travel should have a time limit, or maybe it will teleport me back again."
Damian thought while he hurried in an unknown direction.
He wasn't worried about being unable to return to the modern era. After all, as an outsider who didn't belong to this era, Dialga wouldn't allow him to stay for long.
And based on the game plot, Terapagos's time travel did have a time limit.
Right at that moment.
"Ho look what I've found? A lost traveler"
Suddenly, a young man's voice came from not far away.
Damian looked up, his eyes showing a hint of surprise.
It was a very handsome blonde young man. He carried a backpack, wore a blue guild uniform, and had a hat on his head.
Damian recognized this image immediately. It was Volo from the Ginkgo Guild.
Volo!
The final villain in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the human vessel chosen by Giratina, and also the ancestor of Cynthia.
Volo was currently walking toward Damian with a friendly smile on his face.
But how should he put it? Damian felt it was very strange.
Because Volo's face was really similar to Cynthia's. It was just that because Volo was a man, his facial features and lines were much sharper.
To sum it up, Volo looked more like Cynthia's twin brother.
"Hello. My name is Volo, a member of the Ginkgo Guild. Traveler, do you need help?"
Volo smiled and greeted Damian.
Although Volo, who inherited the blood of the ancient Sinnoh people, had the ambition to meet and control Arceus, he was actually very reliable in his daily life.
"I am Damian. Volo, you look very much like a friend of mine. I almost wonder if you are her brother."
A bright smile appeared on Damian's face as he spoke to Volo.
"Oh? Is there such a thing?" Volo was stunned for a moment.
"But unfortunately, I don't have any younger brothers or sisters." Then, Volo let out a laugh.
"Maybe you might not believe it. Why don't you look at this."
Damian took out his phone, opened a photo of himself and Cynthia, and showed it to Volo.
Volo looked at it curiously. The expression on his face immediately became very strange.
"Emmm... is it possible my parents left another child out there?"
Volo looked at the blonde woman in the photo and couldn't help but fall into deep thought.
It was for no other reason than the fact that the woman in the photo really looked too much like him. This made Volo suspect whether his parents had kept a daughter hidden from him.
Or maybe one of his parents had an affair?
"Ha~ you don't need to overthink it, Volo. The world is big; it's not strange to find people who look alike. But this really is too much of a coincidence."
"Volo, could I take a photo with you?"
"A photo?"
"Yes, just like this. Volo, you can move a bit closer to me, and then... click~"
Damian satisfiedly saved the photo of himself and Volo. When he returned to the modern era, he could show it to Cynthia.
"What a magical tool~ Damian, is this thing called a mobile phone?"
"That's right. Volo, you know about it?"
Damian raised an eyebrow and looked at Volo.
In the Hisui era, it should be impossible to have something like a phone. But actually, it wasn't completely nonexistent!
"Ah~ a child I know also has a phone, but hers seems very different from yours."
Volo's eyes flickered slightly as he spoke to Damian.
That child fell from a space-time rift, but what about this gentleman?
"Could you please take me to see her? She might be my companion."
So this era really has an Akari or a Rei?
"I can. I happen to be going to that place anyway. Damian, do you want to travel with me?"
"I'll be in your care."
Damian naturally wanted to go along, and Volo was also very willing. He was quite curious if this boy was the same as that girl.
The two of them talked and walked along the way.
About an hour later, they arrived in front of a small hut. This was the Ancient Retreat.
"This is a place where a friend of mine lives. That child ran into some trouble before because of certain events, so I introduced her to this place."
Volo explained.
"Oh, Volo, you're here."
A clear voice suddenly came from behind them.
Damian turned around, and his eyes flickered. It was a delicate young girl with blue-black hair and bright eyes.
She wore a white headscarf, a set of blue cotton clothes, cotton pants, and a red scarf around her neck.
"Platinum? No, that's not right. It's Akari!"
Damian looked at the girl before him, who was almost a perfect match for Platinum. If he had to point out a difference...
Platinum's hair was blue, while this girl's hair was blue-black, a much darker color.
"Ah~ Akari, is Cogita here?" Volo asked with a kind smile.
But he suddenly noticed that Akari's expression was wrong.
Akari was looking at Damian with immense surprise. Damian blinked, just about to give her a gentle smile in return.
Then, he saw a blue figure flash. By the time he reacted, Damian's expression froze.
He raised his hands, looking a bit helpless at Akari, who had rushed into his arms and was hugging him tightly.
Volo was also completely confused.
But what shocked Volo and Damian even more was what came next.
"Dad~ why are you here?"
Akari looked up with extreme joy, looking into Damian's eyes from a very close distance.
One could clearly feel Akari's happiness and delight.
Damian was stunned.
"Huh?"
