Chapter 188
Judgment
A young man with red hair and blazing blue eyes screamed as he ran madly toward the sword descending from the heavens, a desperate cry carrying all the helplessness and fury a body could no longer bear.
The dust slowly cleared, revealing the body of a black dragon, split cleanly in half, lying lifeless on the ground.
The dragon had tried to stop the sword...
But it had been useless.
Arthur's sword had fallen like a roaring meteor from the highest reaches of space, impossible to halt and impossible to divert from its path.
And with that single swing, half the continent behind the dragon's body split apart, a colossal wound carved into the very flesh of the world.
"Pathetic humans... today, everyone dies."
Arthur said it calmly, as though it were an obvious truth unworthy of emotion.
He raised both hands toward the vast sky, and energy began gathering around them violently. The atmosphere trembled, and the earth screamed beneath his feet.
"No... no, no, no... am I an idiot or something?"
Arthur let out a deep sigh, then slowly lowered his hands. That terrifying calm returned to his features once more.
"Astaroth."
Astaroth moved quietly around Arthur's neck, coiling there like a living shadow.
"Devour them all."
At that command, Astaroth smiled before leaping from Arthur's neck.
Its body began growing larger and larger until it surpassed even the dragon that had just been killed.
With a single sweep of its tail, half of those present were erased in an instant, their bodies vanishing as though they had never existed.
Astaroth opened its mouth and began devouring everyone without the slightest concern. Human screams disappeared into its maw the same way forgotten memories fade away.
When it reached the dragon's corpse, the red-haired young man rushed forward, trying to stop it, consumed by overwhelming rage.
Arthur smiled calmly and waved his hand lightly.
Layers of wind wrapped around the youth's body, freezing him in place before lifting him into the air and dragging him beside Arthur.
"You're interesting, boy... there's something strange about you."
|He is a Transmigrator.
A soul from another world that transferred into this body.|
"Oooh... can you sense that, Cain?"
|Yes. This boy doesn't know how to hide the aura of his original world.|
"And what about the real owner of this body? Is his soul still alive, or is it dead?"
|It still exists... but it's extremely weak.|
Arthur smiled quietly as he looked at the furious young man before him.
His eyes burned with unimaginable hatred and rage, a gaze that would have killed Arthur a million times if it could be turned into power.
"You're really annoying, boy... close those pathetic eyes."
Arthur tapped the boy's head lightly before placing a hand on it.
"Drain."
At that word, a twisted crimson aura began swirling around Arthur's hand before slowly slipping into the unconscious boy's body.
"Easy now... perfectly easy."
Arthur felt the two souls inside the body.
One was innocent and kind, desperately crying to return to its family.
The other...
Was shattered, drowned in sorrow and despair.
Arthur placed his hand on the broken soul and began draining it slowly, without hesitation, until it vanished completely.
The boy's body trembled violently in pain. Blood poured from every part of him before his eyes finally closed in utter exhaustion.
Arthur looked at the spherical soul now resting in his hand.
"Absorption."
The soul began entering his body as pure energy.
He felt something pierce through his very existence.
Then everything went silent, as though nothing had happened at all.
"You're fine now, boy."
Arthur smiled gently before tossing him away.
Then he looked ahead.
Astaroth had already finished slaughtering everyone wearing white. It had devoured them all.
Now Astaroth stared eagerly at the remaining humans.
"I know the humans of this world are very weak... truly weak."
Arthur spoke with amused contemplation.
"But what should we do?
Should we kill the innocent too?
We're not insane...
Or perhaps we are... hmm."
A faint smile appeared on his face.
"Who knows, really."
He gently patted Astaroth's head before sensing several powerful presences approaching from the distance.
A group of old men was drawing near.
Without the slightest interest, Arthur waved his hand.
They were erased as though they were ants before his eyes...
And they truly were.
"Now then... let us see the foundation of this beautiful nation."
Arthur began playing with the bastard he had intentionally left alive...
Lucas's older brother.
"Now tell me... where are the others?"
He smiled calmly while looking at the broken man before him.
His skin had been flayed.
His eyes had been gouged out.
His hair had fallen out from fear and pain.
His teeth were shattered.
His nose had been cut off.
His ears were burned black.
He could hardly be called human anymore.
"I'll tell you... please... don't kill me."
Arthur simply smiled as he listened in silence.
---
Before the Lucas Family Estate...
Without the slightest hesitation, Arthur raised his hand and brought it down with overwhelming might.
After evacuating the servants and innocents, the entire estate was reduced to rubble, and the family patriarch along with every bastard beneath him was crushed under the ruins.
Arthur smiled quietly as he looked at the destruction.
"Now...
It's time to visit the Floating Council Fortress."
---
"Who are you?!"
A dwarf shouted angrily while staring at the smiling Arthur before him.
"I am here to pass judgment upon bastards like you."
Arthur sat upon a large chair, looking indifferently at two human rulers, two elven rulers, and two dwarven rulers kneeling before him.
"Now then...
There was a bastard who cooperated with other bastards to kill everything that wasn't human.
What is your judgment upon him?"
He spoke in a low voice, like a king who cared little about what came after his verdict.
The dwarf king spoke with anger and pride.
"Who do you think you are, you bast—"
Before he could finish, Arthur raised his hand and revealed the ruined body of Lucas's brother.
"This bastard's brother tried to rape and kill everyone in the academy.
When I arrived, I killed the attackers.
And when he and his companions arrived, they tried to kill me.
I am the one who saved everyone."
He looked at them with cold eyes.
"That is why I am here...
To judge you.
You who look down upon people from your lofty positions."
"Whose side are you on?
Mine...
Or his?"
Everyone looked at the mutilated, tortured body.
Absolute terror and revulsion spread through their entire beings.
"The Human King... what is your answer?"
Arthur asked in a deathly calm voice as he pointed toward the human ruler.
