Chapter 46 - kidnapping

"What is this?"

Elisa was startled. Thick smoke surrounded her, her maid, and the two guards, blinding her so that all she could see was the thick black smoke. This made her anxious and left her bewildered, unsure of what was happening.

Then she heard her maid calling her,

"Young lady, are you alright?"

She could hear a lot of noise from people who were panicking and screaming in fear from the sudden smoke that surrounded them.

But before she could answer her maid, who was standing next to her and the guards, she felt something behind her, but before she turned around

A strong hand grabbed her and pressed the cloth over her mouth; her eyes widened and she tried to resist.

Elisa felt herself losing consciousness and becoming drowsy, so to make her attacker back down, she created a knife of water with her hand and aimed it at his thigh.

Although she couldn't see because of the smoke, her attacker was behind her, so targeting his thigh was possible.

Water droplets began to gather on Elisa's left hand, then she began to condense and squeeze them.

This was very difficult as she kept losing consciousness, but she eventually succeeded.

A sharp, aquamarine knife formed in Elisa's left hand, and without waiting, she aimed it at her attacker's left thigh.

But after the attack, the assailant didn't back down; he continued to strangle her with the cloth and whispered to her,

"Just sleep and stop resisting."

Contrary to her expectations, she felt that the water knife broke after hitting something hard, causing her to fail.

She was close to losing consciousness but refused to give up. She couldn't use her element again because she was losing consciousness and couldn't control it.

But the maid and the two guards were nearby, even though she couldn't see, so she tried to make a sound to call for help.

Elisa grabbed the attacker's hand that was choking her in the mouth and tried to push it away.

"Mmmmmm"

But she couldn't push it away; moments later, she saw an image of two people approaching her amidst the smoke.

'Are they the two guards?'

But before they reached her, the two threw something onto the ground towards her and were heading towards her.

Things collided with her feet, and she stopped. She looked down, a wave of terror washing over her, and tears welled in her eyes. She was looking at the heads of her maid and the two guards lying on the ground, their faces filled with fear.

She felt angry and tried to resist more, thrashing about, but despite her resistance, she couldn't break free, and after a few moments she lost consciousness.

After she lost consciousness, the kidnapper carried her on his shoulder and moved towards his two colleagues.

After he approached, one of his colleagues said,

"Why did you take so long? I told you that you just had to knock her unconscious. Why did you do it like that?"

Elisa gave him permission to carry her.

"This is better than hurting her. I might hurt her if I used force, which would ruin negotiations with her parents afterward."

The person carrying Elisa sighed.

"Never mind, let's get out of here quickly."

But before they moved, the one who had knocked Elisa unconscious spoke up:

"But did you have to kill her entourage? Wouldn't that cause problems later?"

They looked at him and spoke in a cold, harsh tone,

"Killing them is better so they know we're not joking around."

Then the other man spoke in an annoyed tone:

"But why do you care Raven? Didn't you participate in this for the money?"

The other added,

"Yes, I didn't think you cared whether we were killed or not, since you didn't do it yourself."

Raven hesitated for a moment.

"It doesn't matter, let's just go."

The three stepped forward to get out of the smoke and escape.

The three emerged from the smoke carrying Elisa and moved at breakneck speed.

But in an unexpected moment, a figure appeared before them and sent a raven flying to crash into a store and destroy it.
