Chapter 55 - Anger

Alith was puzzled by her words and wanted to know what had happened to the boy.

"What do you mean?"

Anna rubbed her forehead.

"Actually, I wasn't the one who saved your daughter. I arrived after it was all over."

Alith was surprised.

"What, does that mean..."

Anna confirmed his statement:

"Yes, it was Ryan who did it."

Then she remembered something:

"And there was also another boy at the scene of the accident."

Alith asked,

"Where is he?"

Anna scratched the back of her head and said, embarrassed,

"I forgot to bring it with me."

Alith's mouth was open in surprise; he didn't know what to say.

Then, after a few seconds of silence, he spoke:

"It doesn't matter. We'll find out who the other boy is later."

Then he asked,

"Will you come with me? I'm going to a prison to find out who these people are."

Anna shook her head in refusal.

"I have something else to do."

Then she headed towards Ryan's room

***********************

Ryan came out of the bathroom drying his hair with a towel.

He changed into simpler, lighter clothes, then grumbled,

"Why haven't they invented showerheads in this world?"

This was strange, although this world was like the Middle Ages, but there were things that compensated for things from his previous world.

Ryan sat on his bed and thought,

"What am I going to tell Anna?"

Although his action was bad, it is not unusual in this world.

But for a child to kill someone without batting an eye was unusual, and he couldn't tell her that he remembered memories from his past life.

Therefore, he would tell her the story of his kidnapping by that prince so that he would have a reason to hate such people.

He could lie, but there was nothing he could invent because he had been asleep for three years.

Then there was a knock on the door followed by Anna's voice:

"Are you inside?"

Ryan gave her permission to enter.

"Come in."

Anna entered and looked at Ryan; Ryan looked into her eyes.

"I thought you would be trembling now, but it seems I was wrong."

Ryan replied,

"I'm fine, as you can see. If you're finished, can you leave? I want to rest."

But Anna didn't leave; instead, she gave Ryan a sharp look that sent shivers down his spine.

I took a breath.

"Why did you kill him?"

Ryan didn't answer her; he wanted to let her out without her asking, but she eventually asked him why he did it.

"You know that you could only restrict his movement; I even noticed an injury on the body, and that injury would have prevented him from moving."

"You could have just arrested him."

Ryan paused for a few seconds, then spoke.

"Why should I do that?"

Anna was taken aback.

"So you're going to kill everyone who fights you? Don't you know that some people just do what they're told?"

Ryan stood up and faced Anna. His expression was sad and gloomy, then turned to anger.

"Everything you're saying is utter nonsense."

My eyes widened when I saw his reaction.

"Are you saying that they only do what they are ordered to do? Is kidnapping children something they do only because it is an order from their superiors, or something like throwing children into a fire until they become charcoal that their parents do not recognize?"

"This is pure barbarity. If they can do that, then they are not human beings but monsters who must be eliminated."

Ryan was furious. He paused, looking at Anna while panting, and said,

"You think I intervened to save that girl and boy?"

"No, why would I risk my life for two people I don't know? I only did it to kill those bastards."

"Do you know what that bastard you stopped me from killing said?"

Ryan looked into Anna's eyes and said in a calm tone,

"He has a family."

Then, again in an angry tone,

"But does that give him the right not to kill him? Of course not."

"Does he have the right to live? Of course not."

Then he grabbed his shirt and beat his chest several times and He said in great anger

"I had a family too, but those bastards threw me into a pit of fire."
