Hanzō — The Apex of the Ninja World!
"Do you know why the world calls me the Demigod?!" Hanzō summoned his poisoned scythe-axe, swinging it wildly as he laughed.
"Because ever since Hashirama died, I have been the shinobi who stands closest to a god!"
"In this entire world, there is not a single soul who can stand against me in direct combat!"
"Wind Release: Poison Dragon Technique!"
It seemed Hanzō required no hand seals at all. He simply opened his mouth, and a terrifying purple serpentine dragon slithered forth — roaring and clawing as it lunged straight for Aoi Ren.
"What kind of technique is this?!" Aoi Ren's eyes widened in shock. In the anime, he had never seen Hanzō use anything like this.
In truth, although Hanzō was known as a Demigod, his appearances in the series were few and far between, and the jutsu he displayed were even fewer...
Even his death was never shown on screen; viewers only learned that he had been killed by the Six Paths of Pain.
Precisely because of this, Aoi Ren had completely misunderstood the true extent of Hanzō's power.
"ROAR!!!"
The majestic Poison Dragon looked vividly alive. As it coiled through the air, it seemed to breathe, exhaling faint wisps of purple toxic smoke.
Sizzle... hiss...
Wherever the smoke touched, plants and grass dissolved instantly. Where it hit the ground, it corroded massive, pitted craters.
Where it touched living creatures, it left nothing but bleached bones behind...
"Dragon Lightning Blade!"
Seeing this, Aoi Ren dared not let the dragon get close. He swung the Kusanagi Blade, trying to shatter the creature with the power of lightning.
But alas — once the pale electrical light faded, the dragon still circled in the sky, its form only slightly less dense than before.
Lightning is ineffective!
"ROAR!"
Attacked and enraged, the dragon roared and charged even faster. Opening its maw like a true divine beast, it spewed a stream of purplish-red toxic fire!
Such refined technique... combining three different chakra natures so perfectly, allowing it to change shape and form freely.
This was likely the true foundation of the power that earned Hanzō the title of Demigod — a strength far, far greater than the tiny fraction shown in the anime.
"Dragon Sage Mode! Eight Gates — Gate of View, OPEN!"
Only by activating both abilities at once was Aoi Ren able to rely on his explosive speed to narrowly dodge the dragon's breath.
"Not bad speed!"
Hanzō sneered and opened his mouth wide again. "In that case... how about I add another one?!"
"Wind Release: Poison Dragon Technique!"
A second purple dragon slowly materialized. Together with the first, they flanked Aoi Ren from both sides.
What was even more terrifying was how relaxed Hanzō looked — clearly, two dragons were nowhere near his absolute limit.
However... Aoi Ren was by no means weak himself!
"If lightning isn't enough to destroy them... then try this!"
The temperature around Aoi Ren plummeted instantly. Frost formed on his very eyebrows. "Ice Release: Ice Age!"
A terrifying wave of freezing air exploded outward, instantly encasing everything in its path in ice — plants, rivers, soil, and even the air itself!
CRACKLE...
Both Poison Dragons were frozen solid in mid-air, transformed into two magnificent, intricate sculptures of ice.
"Hah!"
Aoi Ren lowered his hands, panting heavily. Hanzō's dragons were powerful, yes — but his own Ice Release, enhanced by all the strengthening methods he had used over time, was nothing to be trifled with either!
But before Aoi Ren could even catch his breath, the shapes inside the ice began to blur and distort.
Like thick oil seeping through solid rock, the dragons slowly oozed their way out of the frozen prison...
"What...?!"
Seeing Aoi Ren's stunned expression, Hanzō laughed triumphantly. "Aoi Ren! My poison is thick and viscous like oil — mere ice is not enough to seal it away!"
In moments, both dragons had fully reformed. Slightly smaller in size perhaps, but every bit as fierce and alive as before.
"This is really going to be a pain to deal with..."
