"Aoi, you're finally back!"
Tsunade laughed through her tears and threw herself into his arms like a swallow returning to its nest. At that moment, the expressions of everyone in the room varied wildly...
Hiruzen Sarutobi and his group looked on with approval and relief: True lovers have finally been reunited. This is the happy ending we hoped for.
Tobirama Senju looked on with relief, but also a hint of jealousy: This little rascal... why wasn't she this excited when she saw me?
As for Dan Kato... it was hard to describe his expression. His face was as dark as soot, so black that one might wonder if he had been poisoned!
Aoi grinned inwardly: You really thought you could steal my girl? How does it feel? Do you sense the hopelessness now?
...
Sensing Aoi's disdainful gaze, Dan's ashen face instantly flushed red with blood. He opened his mouth, ready to shout some harsh words!
Aoi raised his fist — which was as big as a cooking pot — and raised an eyebrow: What's this? You wanna try challenging me too, just like Jiraiya? You want to end up lying in the hospital for three months?
Gulp... Apparently remembering Jiraiya's miserable state, Dan swallowed hard and shrank back.
Seeing this, Aoi sneered silently and mouthed two words: Coward.
Dan wasn't even half the man Jiraiya was. At least Jiraiya had the courage to get beaten black and blue. Aoi was certain that after this day, Dan Kato would never dare to look him in the eye again.
Don't think Aoi was being too harsh!
When dealing with a rival in love, you had to show the same killing intent as you would on the battlefield — strike them down with one blow!
And for someone trying to steal your lover, it wasn't enough just to defeat them; you had to hammer the point home until they were utterly broken. That was the only way to be safe.
Sensing the tension between the two, Tsunade slapped Aoi's chest playfully in feigned anger, then turned to Dan Kato without a second glance. "Dan Kato... you are a good person."
Dan froze. His young face was filled with utter bewilderment. Even though he didn't fully understand the implications of being called a "good person," he could clearly feel the distance and rejection in her tone.
"Over this past year, you once asked me what you could do to make me fall in love with you." Tsunade shook her head with a soft smile and hugged Aoi tightly.
"But it's impossible. My heart belongs to Aoi, forever."
Critical hit. Total, absolute devastation.
Dan's face turned terrifyingly pale. He clutched his chest as if he couldn't breathe, stumbled, scrambled, and fled out of the Hokage's residence.
It looked like this young boy was about to enter a very dark chapter of his life...
He would probably cry his eyes out, fall into despair, and finally climb up to a high cliff, preparing to jump while shouting: "Love stories in fairy tales are all lies!"
"You really are cruel, Tsunade." Aoi pulled her back into his arms and gently tapped her cute little nose.
"Calling him a 'good person'... that's the harshest thing you could have said."
Tsunade squirmed playfully in his embrace. "It's all your fault for teaching me these things! I never understood such things before..."
"Understand more? Don't worry..." Aoi chuckled mischievously. "I'll make sure you understand a lot more soon enough."
It looked as if things were about to escalate right there in the office...
Cough! Cough! Cough!
Before the situation could turn into something that couldn't be described, Hiruzen stepped forward.
He glanced sharply at Tobirama Senju, signaling Aoi to show some restraint — at least consider that the old man might not be able to handle seeing such intense displays of affection.
Making moves on a five-year-old girl right in front of her own grandfather... that did seem a bit excessive. To be honest, it bordered on being a bit perverted...
But just then, Tobirama Senju unexpectedly shoved Hiruzen aside roughly. "Alright, alright! Everyone out! It's time for the young people to have their moment."
"What?"
Everyone froze. They never expected the notoriously stubborn Tobirama to say something like that!
Giving up his own office just so Aoi could... well, take advantage of his five-year-old granddaughter?
Hiruzen walked out of the room with a look of pure betrayal on his face: Sensei... you've changed...
