For the first time, the Daimyō's daughter stood before them in this new light.
All the careful arrangements Nobumura had made before his death now meant nothing.
By right of succession, Nobuko was his only remaining heir — making her claim to the throne completely legitimate.

There was no one else who could even come close to her popularity.
The only thing standing in her way was her young age.

Though Master Gen had only arrived in the Land of No recently, everyone had seen how deeply Nobumura had respected and trusted him.

Her succession was now beyond question.
