Chapter 54 - Wang Yuyan's Little Thoughts

After Jiang Cheng said this, both Wang Yuyan and Qiao Yinyin were instantly lost for words.

Technically it didn't affect the room renewal, but who on earth does something like that?

They were leaving in a few days, yet he still wanted to pay for two extra months.

The rate here was eighty thousand a day, not eighty bucks!

Even Wang Yuyan, the so-called "Gold-Butler" of the place, was badly shaken.

Her knees almost buckled.

Guests who booked Tingge Villa for even a single week were rare to begin with.

Booking two whole months was completely unheard-of.

Jiang Cheng was the very first!

She knew that, professionally, she shouldn't pry into a guest's business.

Still, she couldn't help reminding him, "Mr. Jiang, if you find the place comfortable, you can contact me directly before your next visit. I'll reserve the room for you so you won't have to keep extending."

Qiao Yinyin nodded in agreement. "Jiang Cheng, I can come over and book it for you in advance too."

Qiao Yinyin's brain raced through the math.

Eighty grand a day, two months… four-point-eight million???

With that sum, she finally understood why Jiang Cheng could tip her two million plus in one go.

It was like his family ran a mint—or owned a mountain of gold.

Seeing them both trying to stop him, Jiang Cheng shook his head in amusement.

The spending-rebate voucher capped at five million; blowing it all on luxury goods at once was too much hassle.

Using it for a down-payment on a Shanghai apartment? Five million barely covers the down-payment—good luck buying more than a few dozen square meters. His own bedroom was already that big.

Anyway, the voucher was only meant for cash-back; why pinch pennies?

Besides, he'd just earned the [Offspring] card thanks to Yu Xiaoxiao.

As long as he found a girl whose looks scored above 90, treated her to a meal before "surpassing" her, he'd gain at least a hundred million. Grab that fortune first, then buy a mansion—wouldn't that be sweeter??

Cutting off Wang Yuyan's analysis, he said helplessly, "Manager Wang, that won't do. A hotel should celebrate revenue. If I were your boss, I'd be upset."

The remark flustered Wang Yuyan. "Y-you're right, Mr. Jiang, I just…"

She tried to explain, yet couldn't find a single valid excuse.

He was right—why was she trying to save him money?

The longer Jiang Cheng stayed, the higher her commission.

She ought to be delighted, so why dissuade him?

Even she herself couldn't figure it out.

Qiao Yinyin frowned as she watched Wang Yuyan.

As a woman, she knew exactly why.

It mirrored how she felt about Jiang Cheng's tips.

Before learning The Sea Calming Divine Needle was Jiang Cheng, she'd wanted that anonymous netizen to tip as much as possible.

But once she was with him, she no longer wanted him wasting money on her.

She figured Wang Yuyan was in the same boat.

A top-tier man will always attract women's schemes.

Jiang Cheng noticed it too and promptly opened the Favorability Scanner on Wang Yuyan.

[Name: Wang Yuyan]

[Age: 24]

[Height: 165 cm]

[Appearance: 89]

[Figure: 94]

[Privacy: 0]

[Favorability: 80 (Close)]

The zero Privacy score surprised him.

People instinctively cast judgment on a hotel room-manager—especially one for luxury suites.

The higher the tier, the greater the temptations.

And Wang Yuyan's looks weren't bad; at 89 she'd qualify as a campus belle.

More strikingly, her favorability toward him had hit 80 points.

Since check-in he'd brought two women to spend the night.

She knew every detail of his relations with Yu Xiaoxiao and Qiao Yinyin.

She herself had changed the sheets after their romps.

Yet under those circumstances she still scored 80—something fishy was in the air.

No wonder she argued so hard for his sake.

Her butler service earned commission on the room fee; surprisingly, she was willing to forfeit it.

He'd treated her as a professional, yet she had hidden motives.

Rather amusing.

Collecting himself, he spoke casually, "No worries, just book it for me. My schedule's uncertain; I dislike hassle."

He handed his bank card to Wang Yuyan.

With no choice, she accepted the card.

She realized she'd been too obvious moments ago.

"Very well, Mr. Jiang. One moment, I'll process it for you."

She quickly exited Tingge Villa.

Outside, she shook off her impractical thoughts and, frowning, headed toward the lobby.

Before she'd gone far, another woman in the same uniform greeted her. "Yuyan, why the long face? Difficult guest?"

Wang Yuyan shook her head at her. "Chengcheng, no, the guest is very easy."

"Then why look like that? We're all jealous. My client just checked out—no business again. I'm heading home; I'll probably rank last this month," Chengcheng lamented.

In their line, rest days equal no income.

Seeing her down, Wang Yuyan cheered her on. "Keep at it—pull in more clients."

"I wish. Where am I supposed to find a Tycoon? Lucky you—barely started and you've booked a whole week. Even the manager's praising you. Big clients are rare."

Their base salary was only three thousand; the real money came from commissions.

Each occupied room they served earned them five percent of the room fee.

So every day Jiang Cheng kept Tingge Villa, Wang Yuyan pocketed four thousand.

But Tingge Villa wasn't occupied every day—normally two or three times a month.

Sometimes just one or two days.

A lucky streak might give five or six, but most of the time it sat empty.

Hence, the title of Gold-Butler wasn't easy to keep.

Thanks to Jiang Cheng, her monthly commission had already topped thirty thousand.

"The month just started; tomorrow you might land a huge deal," Wang Yuyan consoled.

"From your lips to God's ears. Oh, your guest's stay expires today, right? You can finally rest tonight."
