The next morning, Jiang Cheng called the manager of the Mercedes-Benz 4S Store and asked him to arrange a carrier to ship his porsche 918 to Luxury Hotel in Shanghai.
After all, the new semester would start soon.
Then Jiang Cheng hailed a cab to Chengdu Airport to meet Zhou Ying.
He had learned from their private chat yesterday that she was flying back to Shanghai, so he decided to travel with her.
When the two met at the airport, Jiang Cheng walked up with a grin and naturally took her hand.
Facing his second attempt to hold her hand, Zhou Ying was visibly flustered.
She instinctively tried to pull away; failing that, she shyly glanced around.
The Handsome Guy-and-beauty combo naturally drew plenty of stares.
All those eyes made Zhou Ying's cheeks burn even hotter.
Her favorability value toward Jiang Cheng had already reached 88—well into "lovers" territory and just one step away from you-know-what.
In high spirits, Jiang Cheng led her by the hand toward the Boarding Gate.
Today Zhou Ying wasn't wearing her usual mature, sexy dress.
Instead she had on a loose white jacket over a tight, cropped tank that revealed her delicate navel, with a white pleated skirt below.
The whole look radiated youthful charm.
"Why the sudden trip to Shanghai?" Zhou Ying asked shyly, fishing for conversation.
"Because I can't bear to part with you; I want to go with you."
Seeing his earnest face, Zhou Ying rolled her eyes.
She didn't buy that line for a second.
"Another vacation?"
Jiang Cheng shook his head. "Some work to take care of, and a bit of shopping on the side."
He planned to sort out the Richard Mille watch Jiang Jianming was reimbursing him for, plus the recent system-reward Spending-Boost Card.
If he could also use that unused [Descendants] reward card on Zhou Ying this trip, all the better!
Seeing Jiang Cheng's mischievous grin, Zhou Ying panicked and asked with a blush, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Because you're gorgeous."
"All right, let's go." Unable to handle his constant sweet talk, Zhou Ying changed the subject and quickened her pace, pulling him along.
Jiang Cheng had booked top-tier Business Class tickets—mainly so he could sit beside Zhou Ying.
To his surprise, the Flight Attendant in Business Class was quite a beauty, especially her ample chest—clearly over-developed.
But with Zhou Ying beside him, Jiang Cheng could only keep his eyes forward and solemnly order a glass of milk.
Soon the plane began racing down the Runway.
Just as it accelerated for take-off, Zhou Ying suddenly gripped the armrests, eyes squeezed shut in obvious fear.
Jiang Cheng frowned and took her hand. "What's wrong?"
Paling, Zhou Ying shook her head. "It's nothing—an old issue. I've been like this since childhood; it passes. Just a little scared."
Seeing her helpless look, Jiang Cheng felt a pang of sympathy.
He gently pulled her to lean against his shoulder, stroking her hair to comfort her.
The sudden intimacy made her heart race, the tension eclipsing her fear.
Swallowing, Zhou Ying lifted her head and whispered, "Thanks, Jiang Cheng. I'm okay now."
Her innocent, shy look pushed Jiang Cheng over the edge.
He drew her close and pressed his lips to hers, softly tasting her mouth.
The first kiss left Zhou Ying's mind blank.
When she finally needed air, she gave a muffled protest and tried to push him away, but Jiang Cheng pressed further into her mouth.
A novice, she couldn't resist this seasoned player.
Moments later she melted against him, gasping for breath.
Once freed, she darted glances around the cabin.
Seeing no one had noticed, she shyly punched his arm and covered her mouth, whispering, "You… you're awful. What if someone saw us on the plane?"
Jiang Cheng savored the lingering taste and smirked, "So what? Kissing on a plane isn't illegal."
"I'm not talking to you. I'm a bit dizzy; I need to sleep." Unable to meet his eyes, she seized the excuse.
Watching her blush, Jiang Cheng chuckled and stopped teasing her.
"All right, rest your head on my shoulder?"
At his unyielding look, she nodded and gently leaned against him.
After landing, Zhou Ying insisted Jiang Cheng not see her off.
One reason: it would waste nearly an hour for him to drive back to Luxury Hotel.
The bigger reason: she wasn't ready.
Jiang Cheng realized his behavior on the plane might have scared her.
After all the kissing, palm-reading, and Leg-Rubs, offering her a ride would only make her overthink.
Looks like he'd have to take things slower from now on!
