Chapter 118 - Xia mengs Wild Imagination

The pixelated stuff she normally saw on a computer screen—she'd just seen it in real life.

Was Jiang Cheng raised on donkey milk? Didn't he care if this killed her?

Xia Meng's heart wasn't just racing; she was regretting everything. Out of all those people, why had Jiang Cheng picked her?

She still had a sick grandmother to look after. If anything happened to her, what would become of Grandma?

Why couldn't one of those two skinny guys have chosen her? Maybe if they were scrawny, that thing would be normal-sized.

Though she had to admit Jiang Cheng was the handsomest, richest man she'd ever met.

But for the sake of staying alive, Xia Meng felt her luck had hit rock bottom.

Her mind kept spiraling, yet the elevator soon reached the top floor.

The instant she stepped into the room, her heart pounded faster and faster.

Seeing her like that, Jiang Cheng merely gave a gentle smile.

"Let's rinse off first."

After that group soak, Jiang Cheng still wasn't used to it.

"S-sure." Xia Meng forced a flattering smile and stammered.

Jiang Cheng walked into the bathroom; when he noticed she hadn't followed, he glanced back. "Standing there like a post—come here."

"I…" Xia Meng opened her mouth, but thinking of the sky-high price for a first time, she sucked in a breath, plastered on an obsequious grin, and went in.

Jiang Cheng had already turned on the faucet. He tugged her over and flicked the showerhead on.

Water drummed down on the two of them.

Blushing, Xia Meng said, "Actually, I'm only here because my grandma's sick and needs medical bills, so I…"

"You're a filial granddaughter. Don't worry—I'll treat you well."

…What followed was pay-per-view content.

Three hours later Jiang Cheng lay half-reclined on the bed, Xia Meng exhausted and asleep beside him.

He scrolled through his phone, looking at the selfie Qiao Yinyin had sent.

After a moment he opened Live Streaming Platform; Qiao Yinyin should be on air right now.

He logged in invisible and slipped into her room.

He hadn't watched her for ages; to his surprise she was now gaming—playing honor of kings, the same title he used to grind.

The moment he entered he saw her get insta-killed under her own tower.

The chat exploded the instant Qiao Yinyin died.

"Sister Qiao, you're hopeless—dying under your own tower, I'm done."

"Trash-trash-trash-trash-trash~~~~~"

"A grade-schooler could outplay you."

"Hey, look at her face—she's about to tilt~~~"

"…"

Clearly stung, Qiao Yinyin pouted and haughtily declared, "I won't tilt, so there! As long as I stay chill, the angry ones are all of you. Hahaha."

Watching her smug banter with the viewers and glancing at her 0/5/0 score, Jiang Cheng burst out laughing.

He hadn't expected Qiao Yinyin to have such a sturdy mindset.

"Crap, your mid-laner just flamed you."

"Maybe switch to support???!!!"

"Seriously, stop playing—my head hurts watching this!"

"Could it be because The Sea Calming Divine Needle has been duo-ing with other Female Streamers lately, so Sister Qiao got jealous and started grinding?"

"No wonder Sister Qiao's been cramming honor of kings—her top supporter ran off with someone else."
