Seeing yet another buzz-kill, Wang Congcong gave Jiang Cheng a helpless look. "I've booked a few suites on The Bund—coming?"
Jiang Cheng waved him off. "My Designated Driver's already on the way."
As Jiang Cheng got ready to leave, Wang Zheng grinned. "This is exactly why I refuse to get married—no matter what."
Jiang Cheng's mind filled with question marks at Wang Zheng's remark.
That comment was more than a little rude.
Jiang Cheng didn't bother arguing, though.
Wasn't the one at home sweet enough?
Only someone who'd never savored the pure fragrance of Qiao Yinyin and Yu Xiaoxiao could entertain such a loser idea.
"So that's why you cling to your thorn-bush patch?" Jiang Cheng shot back.
Wang Zheng was speechless for a second. "…Old Jiang, it's a forest, okay?"
Qi Yuan chimed in mercilessly, "Haha, next time we mix drinks I'm definitely ignoring Old Wang's advice."
Qin Fen added, "What do you know? Old Jiang's 'Designated Driver' isn't exactly the standard kind."
Soon Qiao Yinyin arrived at the bar by cab.
After politely greeting everyone, she sat down beside Jiang Cheng.
Qiao Yinyin covertly scanned the dozen or so Internet Celebrities present; she recognized Dou-er as well.
After all, she herself was a seasoned surfer of the web.
She regularly kept up with the gossip melons on Social Media Platform.
Qiao Yinyin was actually a little surprised.
She couldn't quite understand why Jiang Cheng still asked her to pick him up when so many big influencers were around.
And compared with them, Jiang Cheng was far better.
Everyone knows Principal Wang changes girlfriends monthly.
Although Jiang Cheng had other women beside him, at least he hadn't replaced her.
Qiao Yinyin couldn't help fantasizing that perhaps Jiang Cheng truly liked her.
Otherwise why would he always have her fetch him after drinks?
While she sized them up, every woman present was sizing her up in return.
Fair skin, stunning looks—and her "pandas" weren't small either.
Yet the other women still felt they could hold their own against Qiao Yinyin.
Maybe Qiao Yinyin had just been lucky enough to catch Jiang Cheng's eye.
Jiang Cheng slipped an arm around her supple waist.
With his right hand he passed her the can of Wyeth Milk on the table. "Top yourself up first."
Blushing, Qiao Yinyin leaned to his ear and whispered, "Shouldn't you be the one topping up?"
"Mm, how about a contest tonight?"
Recalling how the sun had been high last time before they stopped, she gave an involuntary shiver.
She noticed Jiang Cheng's duration had increased while his cooldown had shortened.
That didn't match what she'd read online before.
Again she regretted her tough talk: "No way—you must be cheating."
Seeing her defiance, Jiang Cheng gave a meaningful smile. "Tonight I'll let you see for yourself. Oh, and don't drink too much water."
The Wyeth Milk she'd just sipped shot out; she shot him a coy glare and coughed, "I'll definitely hold it tonight."
To stop him continuing, she quickly changed the subject. "Isn't that the influencer Dou-er? Are they all Principal Wang's girlfriends?"
Jiang Cheng nodded casually. "Girlfriends, I suppose."
"This is the first time I've seen so many big influencers in one place."
Seeing her wide-eyed look, Jiang Cheng couldn't help smiling.
In the past he might have given the crowd a second glance.
Now they were merely pretty girls—nothing more.
"Aren't you an influencer yourself?"
Qiao Yinyin said shyly, "I'm only a small-time one."
"You're already the top streamer on Huya and you call yourself small-time? Are you misjudging yourself?"
Qiao Yinyin gave an embarrassed laugh. "You know how hollow my 'top' title is; it's only because of you. Look at their Social Media Platform follower counts."
"You could have the same if you wanted."
Her looks were the best among all the women present.
She simply wasn't good at marketing herself.
She hadn't even opened a Social Media Platform account, so low national recognition was only natural.
