Chapter 400 - How Much Is That Worth?

Hearing the noise outside, Jessica knew Jiang Cheng was up.

Instinctively she hugged herself tighter and shot a vicious glare toward the bathroom door.

Under her breath she cursed, "That brutal demon—he's barely human. After all that he still didn't drop dead…"

As she cursed, she forgot the torn places on her body; a shift of her hips sent a fresh stab of pain through her.

She clamped her mouth shut, squeezed her thighs together, and drew a slow, careful breath.

Outside, Jiang Cheng was on the phone being lovey-dovey with Yu Xiaoxiao.

Because of the time difference it was already about ten p.m. back home; on the screen Yu Xiaoxiao lay across her bed in lace-trimmed pajamas.

Batting seductive eyes, she drawled, "Hubby, when are you coming back? I'm missing you."

Seeing her so enticing, Jiang Cheng—though he'd battled all night—felt desire flare again.

Western bodies might be curvier, but for sheer feel Yu Xiaoxiao and Qiao Yinyin were still the best.

Even through the phone he could almost taste their softness.

After calming Yu Xiaoxiao, Jiang Cheng checked the time; Jessica still hadn't emerged, so he walked over and knocked. "Taking forever in there? You done?"

The knock made Jessica jump, fear flashing through her.

Flustered, she hugged herself and stammered, "W-what is it? I… I'm almost ready."

"Hurry up—breakfast's waiting downstairs."

"O-okay, right away…"

Realizing he only wanted to eat, Jessica exhaled in relief.

After last night her awe of Jiang Cheng had only deepened.

The man wasn't just rich—his stamina had shattered every stereotype she'd had about Asian men.

Whoever claimed they couldn't last?

She'd expected something smaller, but it had nearly cost her life.

Remembering, she felt fear—and something else—stir inside her.

The ordeal had torn her apart, yet it hadn't been totally without pleasure.

By the end she'd even started moving on her own.

Still, she felt he'd shown her no gentleness—nothing but raw force.

If not for the money, she'd have walked the moment she saw him.

Since it wasn't another "workout," she didn't linger; she dressed quickly and followed him to the restaurant downstairs.

The others were already eating when they arrived.

Seeing Jiang Cheng walk in with Jessica, everyone's eyes went wide.

Jessica's face was unmistakable; the moment she took off her sunglasses they recognized the young actress.

Among last night's party girls she was a rare find—looks and figure flawless.

The lively table fell silent; they stared, motionless.

Jiang Cheng blinked. "Time freeze?"

Qin Fen said sourly, "Well, if it isn't Little Emma?"

Wang Congcong added, "I was just bragging about the star I pulled last night, and yours is pretty hot too."

Jiang Cheng looked at the women they'd brought. "Looks like you guys did all right yourselves?"

Wang Zheng chuckled. "Not bad, but two in one night? That's insane."

Chen Hao chimed in, "What kind of luck is that? Do Foreigners share our taste?"

Qi Yuan laughed. "Why wouldn't they? With Brother Cheng's looks, he's a hot item anywhere."

Chen Hao frowned. "Online polls say Foreigners go for big-lipped girls like Sister Feng. Could you kiss that?"

He caught himself, glanced at Qi Yuan's thick-lipped mixed-race date, and stammered, "Uh… personal taste, can't generalize."

The girl didn't understand Chinese, but sensing the stare she looked questioningly at Qi Yuan.

Unfazed, Qi Yuan patted her head. "Want that Dessert Ice-Cream?"

The thick-lipped mixed beauty nodded sweetly. "Sure."

Qi Yuan grinned smugly. "See? Stop obsessing over looks—how much is pretty worth?"

The others turned to study the girl; even Jiang Cheng, who'd heard Qi Yuan's inside story, took a closer look.

Qi Yuan handed her a Popsicle from the dessert tray; she began licking it with soft, quick strokes.

Once out of the Dry-Ice Mist the bar started to melt; she focused, tongue flicking delicately to catch every drop.
